Om The Fat Butcher

Skrevet af virksomheden

The Fat Butcher founded in 2014 is meat supermarket which has 2 stores in the North East of England, 3 in the South East of England and an online meat delivery service

Our online store focuses on top-quality cuts of meat. We source our chicken, beef, pork, and lamb from the best possible sources, so you can create your perfect bundle or selection with the confidence that every element is of the highest standard.

We deliver across the entire mainland UK.

Our History

The Fat Butcher is the brainchild of our founder Mark, a butcher with over 30 years of experience in the industry. Starting as an apprentice butcher in the Dewhurst’s Butchers of Leeds, Mark quickly climbed his way up the ranks before finding himself in a Microbiology training program in Northampton. It was here that he truly got to know meat on a deeper, more scientific level.

After leaving Dewhurst’s, Mark ran the gamut in the retail butchery industry, with positions in traditional butchers, supermarket operations, and town centre market stalls. After years of working in the physical sector, Mark considered that maybe there was a better way.

That’s when The Fat Butcher was born, conceived as an online butchers and meat delivery service that would allow customers to receive personalised and pre-prepared meat boxes straight to their door. No more chancing it on what the butcher had in. No more walking home with heavy bags of meat. Just premium, top-quality cuts of meat delivered straight to your door.

Meat came packaged well

Meat came packaged well. All frozen. We are a family of 7. I bought the £59.99 Deal. It lasted us the whole week. Only problem was joints were a bit small but absolutely beautiful. The beef was amazing. The pork was beautiful. Everything was succulent. Next time I will order the bigger deal. Amazing value.

Great quality meat at a fantastic price. Delivered by DPD just as promised in a secure box with all the meat in a cool bag and ice packs. The quality, price and service has made me already place another order, my Turkey Crown for Christmas.

Not Impressed

Not Impressed
I ordered the sirloin steaks, they were not the best by a long way. The bags holding the steaks were weighed with up to 150g of blood, pretty crap when you consider that the steaks were supposed to be 400g each.
Judging by this performance I reckon it won’t be long before the fat butcher loses weight.
They have a great Ai bot that apologised in the reply but I guess Ai bots don’t really care or eat steak.
Not a great first experience.
