Got 2X £10 eRoblox gift cards, received promptly after, admittedly I was suspicious of the website at first but it all came through. Reedem codes with no issues and kids are happy

I bought a voucher for Odeon cinemas in good faith from this website. The voucher arrived, but never worked on the Odeon website. I've bought similar vouchers from Amazon and Groupon before, and those worked fine.
The small print on the email I received with the voucher says to wait up to 60 minutes for the voucher to activate. After waiting 2 hours the voucher still didn't work. Now trying to get a refund, but 2 months later I'm yet to receive anything. I've sent various emails. I have received a response, but only to say they are busy and dealing with other customers - yeah sure, I can believe it! I'll keep pursuing.
Note this website is managed by Blackhawk Network (Europe) Limited. You can google their website. However, customer service emails are coming from waivpay.com. This operation has almost nothing to do with Tesco, which is a shame as I would expect better service if I could deal with Tesco direct. Tesco should know how bad this service is.

I brought our niece a Nike voucher from Tesco's, she went into a Nike store only to be told it had already been activated and used. Took it back to Tesco's who told us we must have used it. Our niece was upset and we are 30.00 down. I would never purchase a voucher for any store from Tesco's again.

I received a £30 Tesco "Birthday" gift card on 12-May-25. BEFORE using it in store on 02-Jul-25, I confirmed with customer services that I could use the balance on different days until expended. I then made a purchase of £10.59. I next tried to use it on 26-Jul-25 on a purchase of £17.35: it was declined, no reason given. On 09-Sep-25, I 'phoned the number on the card to sort out the problem. The USA accented automated system told me to type a number - which I did correctly. It then thanked me for calling and ended the call. On my third call, I was able to enter the card number. It then asked for a PIN number - WHAT PIN NUMBER?! It's a total mess around, I would expect better from Tesco. I'm boycotting their stores until this is resolved.

There is no chance to contact them if something goes wrong. The online contact form doesn't work.. Tesco support sends you to the seller because it's a 3rd party. Blackhawk Network (who is the 3rd party) sends you back to Tesco. There is no way to get your money back. Don't buy from them

I've bought several Apple gift cards recently and been able to use them without a problem. The last two have not allowed me to access the funds showing errors. I have contacted Tesco without any success so far.

Purchased a digital e gift card for a friend and sent it via text, they didn't receive it. I have tweeted and filled out a form. The process is so slow, they are so quick to take people money.

I ticked the button to send later, and then after billing it processed for same day. The gift card was for a childs birthday so it was important for it to go on correct day and not early !

I purchased a gift card online and the website said "transaction failed". So, I tried once more in case I had mis-typed a digit. Same again...."transaction failed". Moments later I had 2 emails confirming the order numbers. Both transactions had gone through and been charged to my credit card. This is the beginning of the problems.....Blackhawk Network (who are the third party) will respond to telephone calls but basically direct me back to Tesco. I find it impossible to contact Tesco by telephone, their option menus are labyrinthine and the option of filling in an online form has yet to produce a response. There is no customer support - it's a joke.
Update 15/5....I have been referred to Tesco Support Team for a refund but so far nothing. I have also tried to contact Blackhawk Network (see my separate review on them) - their invisibility cloak is much better than Tesco's.

I top up a voucher for a card that has expired, the money was taken from my bank account but I was unable to open my voucher.
Why was I allowed to top up an expired card.
Why is it hard to get in touch with customers service team who deals with gift card.

I purchased two Tesco gift cards from a Tesco store in Central London, but both cards were not activated and did not work anywhere. When I returned to the same Tesco store On Wednesday 12 February 2025 the time is 10:05 am to resolve the issue, the staff at reception were unhelpful. One male staff member was particularly—he left the reception and ignored my issue instead of assisting me. However, a female staff member I had spoken to earlier was very helpful and explained things well.
Despite my efforts, I received no solution. Even the phone number provided for support did not work.If they don’t work, there is no proper customer support, and no one takes responsibility for fixing the issue.
I am not recommend to purchase Tesco gift Card.

Bought two giftcards for Tesco brand in November. One to the value of £200 and another to the value of £100. I used the £200 one without any problem. Today I attempted to use the £100 one and it showed at the till it was not activated When I contacted customer services they were able to tell me that the card had been blocked. Got to go back to the store. I was also informed that the balance had been checked on the day I purchased it but has not been used. I do this to make sure the amount has been added. So it's a mystery where the money has went to as there has been no transactions on the card. Going back to the store tomorrow to try and resolve it but don't think I'll have any success. The only solution then will be is not to buy any other Tesco gift cards and advise others not to either.

Received a £50 Tesco gift card for Christmas. However when I tried to use it part of the barcode and number had come off from the glue, and it couldn’t be scanned or manually entered.

Customer services didn’t want to know. I was told to ring the number on the back of the card. This was just an automated response to give the balance.

Customer services helpline didn’t deal with this issue so I chatted to someone on the WhatsApp number. This was their reply:

Good afternoon. Thanks for taking the time to get in touch.
I am sorry to hear that the gift card you were given at Christmas is damaged and can’t be scanned in store.
I understand how frustrating this must be.
Gift cards are treated the same as cash and are not replaceable.
I am sorry however we would not be able to replace this.

So apparently Tesco policy is to refuse to replace a damaged card sold in store, but still keep the £50 they received for it.

have been trying for 2 weeks to purchase gift card to no avail. Fails before credit card details entered.
A nightmare to contact anyone and then to find customer services extremely unhelpful

Was charged a card transaction fee when paying by credit card plus interest. No warning of this until i saw it on my statement. rasied thsi with Tesco who told me to contact blackhawk (no response). Contacted Tesco and they say it is with the bank. Total joke and avoid. Tesco needs to fix this as this company is tarnishing its reputation

Tesco have obviously outsourced the egift cards. I have been sending one regularly to my brothers support worker but the last one I sent under the new regime would not work. He has been left without any way of shopping before Christmas. I have sent in a complaint but not heard anything. How do I get the egift card money back ...trading standards?

Avoid, you may be charged a card transaction fee when paying by credit card. There is no warning of this until your card statement arrives, and you'll fine a cash transaction fee, as well as interest charged on the transaction.

If I could give a 0 review, I would. I am really appalled at the service provided trying to get Tesco gift cards. I have been purchasing these cards for years for vulnerable women at the service I work. All of a sudden everything looked different. while I was trying to buy, I had a feeling something wasn’t right but i ignored this feeling and continued. The transaction all went fine but without confirmation of payment or the mobile card. I called Tesco who kept passing me from pillar to post with no one being unable to help me. I was told to contact a Black Hawk company by email which after I did, I got a message indicating that the email address does not exist. It has been horrible. I have lost my service some money and with no way of getting it back. I know this is the last time

I'm informing other people who are thinking about purchasing a e-voucher via the new Tesco website. The company who are Tesco's affiliated company for gift cards/e-voucher are BLACKHAWK HOLDINGS LTD.
Go into a Tesco store to physically purchase your gift cards if possible, but avoid buying on line, as you may not get your order.
10th December 2024, I ordered a Tesco voucher for my Daughter. Value £100. I paid, but had no receipt, just a transaction number. Monies were taken out of my bank. My Daughter still hasn't received the evoucher. Its now the 18th December, and trying to get in touch with BLACKHAWK HOLDINGS LTD is near impossible. I have left a review on their trustpilot page, and initially I thought great, as they responded to say sorry, and would I follow the link they send, via my email address. This I have done 3 times, and yet, no response. I think the reply is an AI one, so I doubt I'd ever get the issue sorted.
I've emailed Tesco head office.
I have now contacted my bank through their chat online, and raised a dispute with BLACKHAWK HOLDINGS LTD. My bank have been brilliant and they refunded me the £100, and are now raising their action against BLACKHAWK HOLDINGS LTD. Tesco should be ashamed they are using this company to sell their gift cards etc. Utter disgrace and tantamount to theft, taking peoples money and no goods to show for it.
