Think of protecting your assets
When we thought of writing a will we were not prepared to think further into our lives. However it brought up a lot of issues. I am not sure if we missed or was not in the will but a matter of what happens to all assets when all the family die. Or are in captivated. Not clear where that would be addressed. Maybe there should be an additional drop down for that.
Power of attorney maybe should be also be offered as a part and parcel to the will.

If everyone you have listed as a beneficiary in your Will dies, then the ‘Laws of Intestacy’ (available via the ‘What if I have no Will?’ menu item at our website) come into effect.
If your entire family (including brothers, sisters, grandparents, uncle & aunts) AND the beneficiaries and ‘substitutes’ you name in your Will all die then your estate could end up going to the Crown (in effect, the taxman).
To enable you to ensure that this never happens, in the ‘estate’ section of our questionnaire you are able to specify up to TEN ‘levels’ of beneficiaries to inherit if the beneficiaries you have specified up to that point all die. Nobody has ever specified more than 6 ‘levels, so 10 ought to be enough!
Regarding ‘Power of Attorney’, at the end of the ‘Will’ section of the questionnaire EVERYONE is presented the option of also adding a Lasting Power of Attorney. If you missed that, you can still login and select the option offered to add a Lasting Power of Attorney.
Note that a Lasting Power of Attorney is a completely separate document from a Will.

Change to existing will
We have used this service before so we were just updating our wills and it couldn’t have been simpler or quicker. Really easy and clear instructions with plenty of opportunity to amend anything we needed to. I really don’t know why we kept putting it off but it really did only take ten minutes.

Cheap for basic Will (without binding, LPA or storage). Flexible options allow Will to be tailored to requirements using low-jargon tick lists. Quick & helpful response to query. Much easier than iterations using a solicitor.

Updating an original will
I needed to make changes to an original will. It was really easy and straightforward. I am now happy I have an up to date will that reflects my wishes.

Dreadful company
Firstly I made a will in 2014, I tried to call and there is a number but you cannot get through to them.... impossible.... I would not recommend this company at all.
Had a reply as you can see below, not happy with this company, how about speaking with a human!! this would help, instead we get a robot or some plank reading from a script as most do these days.... I cancelled because I cannot speak to anyone, why have a phone number? no one can get through to you.
The will was fine for 10 years untill I tried to amend online, there is no log in anywhere hence canelling with you.
Your awful customer service is no longer required as you are dreadful to deal with....
Avoid this company.

We have investigated the matter and it would appear that you contacted us via our online messaging system on 05-11-2024 at 12:49 – i.e. before you posted your review. The sequence of the conversation was as follows:
05-11-2024 at 12:49: You asked us to cancel your Will.
05-11-2024 at 12:49: One of our professionally qualified Customer Support staff responded and explained that to cancel a Will you must destroy all signed & witnessed copies of it. We asked if you wished us to delete your account.
05-11-2024 at 13:07: You responded in the affirmative, and said that you could not login.
05-11-2024 at 13:11: We confirmed that your account had been deleted and enquired as to the problem you were encountering when trying to login.
We received no further response.
From reading your review, it would appear that you were unable to locate the ‘Returning Customers Login’ button prominently located in the top menu bar of every page of our website. It is unfortunate that you did not point this out to us, as we could easily have told you where to find it.

Recommended - easy to use with good customer service
For the most part a very easy to use sites, and great service from their customer team. However occasional clarifications needed between will documents and details in accompanying will summaries and executor instructions.
