Commercials destroyed the site... Stay away

I have used this site a lot in the past, but now there's annoying commercials, flash videos and whatnot. This site has now become so commercialised, that it is utterly useless. Whomever coded the site had one/two things in mind... Greed and lure :(

Can't Stop Pop-Ups

Really aggravating that I keep getting annoying pop-ups and, despite having email techradar to stop - I STILL keep getting them. Whatever happened to GDPR. YOU ARE IN BREACH OF GDPR AND BREAKING THE LAW!

iPhone is the best for gaming

1 star—the info they give in their reviews is very questionable.

Just put in Google: “best gaming smartphone 2019”. Spits out their list, where iPhone XS is the first.

iPhones are the best gaming phones? Hahahaha, I would imagine next article, “top 10 best gaming laptops”: #1 is MacBook Pro.

It feels like some companies payed just a bit of evergreens to push forward stuff they make. Maybe it’s just my personal feeling.

Can't trust them

Can't trust them. Putting together fluff pieces to generate a little income that would rip customers off if they bit. Very obviously dishonest.

This brand is now entirely compromised.

This brand is now entirely compromised. These guys generate some great articles but unfortunately the brand has now been completely compromised in lieu of commercial agreements. You won't have to look far online to find the deals TechRadar advertise as the best or cheapest this month simply aren't...what they really mean is these are good deals from the people who pay us to promote their products...

I used to trust tech radar reviews.

I used to trust tech radar reviews.
Until about 2 years ago, it has become very Samsung biased and very anti Apple.
To say the LTE feature is useless and an unnecessary expense, on the Apple Watch is purely a personal opinion by the reviewer and not subjective at all, the feature and I use it is fantastic.
To then make the samsung smart watch No.1 is a total joke!
I don't have the iPhone X, but it is clearly a cut above the rest and yet somehow samsung has been the No1 phone now for 4 years, it's a joke ans your company has become a joke!
I will never read TechRadar reviews again, as they are totally subjective and biased!

Absolute banality

Absolute banality. I have read quite a few articles lately from TechRadar because they appear in Google's news feed but they are so lightweight in content as to be basically tissue paper. When an article has an interesting title, one that suggests there will be some quality content, it makes people click it open. With TechRadar, you find that you've been baited into finding little of substantive value to read. For example, the most recent one was called "AMD Navi release date, news and rumors". I almost didn't open it because I knew by now to not bother with TechRadar articles. Also, I knew that it was unlikely that that site had any special new information about Navi that no one else did. Well, the article has some very superficial speculation in it and not much more. This is because we're way far out from knowing much about that product (Navi). So, instead of writing a useless article, the site should wait until it has something useful to provide to readers, some actual content. If one of their authors wants to speculate then the title should be "Speculating About AMD's Navi". Given how little content there was, even in terms of speculation, it should be called "Speculating Very Briefly About AMD's Navi". Who would open that, though?

And, if you're going to speculate that AMD is working with Sony and Microsoft to intentionally break the PC gaming market (via monopolist pricing by Nvidia, given a lack of competition from AMD, in favor of the console (a market AMD can more easily control, in terms of being its favored supplier, than the PC gaming market), then get to the point. Make the speculation mean something. Tell people, for instance, that it could mean that there will be a true monopoly in desktop PC gaming, one that pushes people into buying inferior PC hardware (consoles) or paying exorbitant prices for better PC hardware. Instead, though, the site just lazily speculates that AMD may just tailor Navi for "consoles" (really PC computers in disguise, with an artificial separation between them and the desktop standard, one that is profitable for Sony and Microsoft). This "three walled gardens" market situation doesn't benefit consumers and is a mixed bag for developers but it is especially profitable for a very few corporations. The x86 hardware standard is the same and so should the software standard for PC gaming. But, it's not and Sony, MS, AMD, and Nvidia all stand to profit from the artificial segregation — at consumers' expense. It's a drag on smaller developers, too. It also doesn't just result in higher prices and reduced selection, it results in reduced game quality because the console specs are intentionally kept very low now to maximize profits for Sony and MS. Long gone are the days when consoles justified themselves by being cutting-edge unique hardware. What I have just written is far more depth and substance than all of the TechRadar articles I've read combined.

I am not seeing a place at the bottom of articles for readers to leave comments which doesn't surprise me since they would probably be overwhelmingly negative. It might be my browser extension which is set to filter out most social stuff but even if there are comments they're not causing the content level of the articles to increase to a minimum standard.

Give people are reason to read your articles, not just click them open, TechRadar. People will only be fooled so many times before they do what I did and specifically decide to start spreading the word.

Looked at the review for some free DVD…

Looked at the review for some free DVD ripping software, quite obvious that the 'best' free software was nothing move than a sales lead. The review missed out the most critical aspect of the free version, which made it pretty useless, however the review made the free product sound so much better than rivals. If this was an error in the journalism it was fundamental, more likely deliberate as a sales lead.

Does Tech Radar receive payment for reviews?

Tech Radar review the Moto G4 as good for price. Just check out the reviews of users on this site, Their facebook page or any other gebuine review site, it is an appallingly bad phone, and Motorola/Lenovo do not give a damn. Their support is worthless.
I question if TechRadar receives payment for reviews
