Tamar Fresh Food Service is a family business originally established by Francis Barrett and now run by sons David, Nigel and Ian with roots within the industry spanning many generations. We pride ourselves in sourcing our broccoli from Penzance, potatoes and cauliflower from Kingsbridge, parsnips from Exeter, apples from Sidmouth and strawberries and raspberries from the Tamar Valley, and seasonally permitting, asparagus from the South Hams and Truro. This being only a very small percentage of a massive selection on offer. All our products are available to the public from our retail outlet at Tamar View Nurseries in Carkeel. In addition to the fine selection of fruit and vegetables in-store, we also have a large selection of meats, fresh bakery, ice cream and preserves. We have a large modern fleet of delivery vehicles (including refridgerated) supplying and supporting businesses across the West Country. David and Ian manage and control the wholesale division from a purpose built modern warehouse in Saltash. With so much fresh produce grown in our area we feel that we owe it to you our customers to promote our local growers and suppliers. By supporting us you support them and also provide your families with the goodness of produce from local soils. Whilst supporting all ethical policies, we have the ability to source produce from European markets, thus providing you, our customers, with a more extensive range. Apple Jack Barn...Tamar View Fruiterers Retail Outlet Our independent family run Retail Outlet, situated alongside the Saltash Garden Centre, has always got a large selection of fresh fruit and vegatables available to the general public. There is ample free parking available onsite and the Garden Centre itself has a highly regarded Cafe/Restaurant. All the Fruit and Vegatables on sale here are supplied direct from our own warehouse, so you can be assured that only fresh quality produce are on the shelf. For our Retail customers who have difficulty coming to our shop we offer a home delivery service of Fruit and Vegetables straight to the customer's house. Available for any product sold from our retail shop. So much fresh produce is grown in our area we feel that we owe it to our customers to promote our local growers and suppliers, thus ensuring Nigel keeps the retail shop full with fresh produce. However we do not just purchase our produce from local growers and suppliers unless we our satisfied the product is of the highest standard of quality. Our aims - improve client services; purchase locally grown produce thus supporting the local economy; ensuring fresh quality local produce for all our Clients and Customers. If you want to be able to browse and purchase quality Fruit and Veg food products, which (thanks to Nigel), is always so well presented - you will not be disappointed at our retail outlet. As well as fresh quality fruit and vegatables we also stock other fresh Farm Produce (ie.
