From start to finish it was a pleasant experience. The salesman was polite and friendly. I didn’t feel at all pressured.

I took my car for oil service. Alison was dealing with my car
I was dealt with efficiently and professionally. All explained to me by way of video from the technician and Alison’s call explaining the details and what was required. I was very happy with my experience.

Exceptional service notwithstanding this was a recall. Not only wasit completed quickly and effeciently but the car was returned washed and cleaned and with a thorough checklist of its mechanical state which was way above and beyond what i expected but very much apreciated. All the staff i dealt with were polite, knowledhgable and enthuisiastic. Strongly trecommend.

The cardiff branch is Horrendous. Firstly never book anything with them until after they health check your vehicle... book it for a health check then give permission for sevices etc. 2025 service... they serviced my vehicle and then notified me that the diff was leaking and if I didnt get if fixed immediately there would be catastrophic damage. I was driving to London from Cardiff for a holiday the following month so got it fixed immediately to then discover a few weeks later during its MOT that the diff was still leaking. That's how bothered they were by causing catastrophic damage that they failed to repair it appropriately.
Roll on 2026 they service my car and this time hit me with cracked alloys to which they still performed a service even though a service was no longer fit for purpose. They have zero customer service skills and after paying them a whopping £1067 my car is still un-drivable.
Im putting my consumer rights in to act because I dont believe they should be servicing vehicles they find unfit to drive... what a waste of money and a sales technique. I need new valves... £80 each plus £100 each for a battery to go with them . If it wasn't so funny id cry. Also given how far I have to go to get there I hire a car... always beautiful cars unfortunately this time the car they gave me was filthy and covered in bird mess, you could barely see out the windscreen for fly residue... disgusting to drive. That's how they value myself and id like to think its not just me that literally have no respect for. Don't message me with " as a valued customer " BS and then treat me less than. The people working there aren't particularly pleasant. I feel like riff raff walking through their doors. Before you drop them the keys their checking wheel alignment... £120 for tracking and theyve not even been given the keys yet. Finally recalls ! I've had several since owning this car.

Absolutely perfect service, very polite and friendly staff, very nice showroom. Every little detail catered for by them. Alison, Bethan, Richard and Ann Marie were totally awesome.

Excellent greeting at reception, felt a valued customer. Sales by Mark and the finance gentleman were excellent. Plenty of time spent with us, we were not rushed and time to ask questions. Fabulous service.

Work was carried out promptly and I was kept informed throughout. Staff were courteous and very helpful.

Overall, I was left with mixed feelings about my experience.

What I appreciated most was that the service center proactively contacted me after my car sent a notification that maintenance was due. Without that call, I probably would have kept putting it off for quite a while, so this was genuinely helpful and a great example of customer care.

The service itself was completed smoothly. I can’t personally verify the quality of the work, but I trust BMW’s technicians and have no reason to doubt that everything was done properly. I left my car for the entire day, and the service center arranged a taxi to take me to work and then back to collect the vehicle in the evening. That level of convenience is exactly what I would expect from a premium brand like BMW.

However, there were several things that left me disappointed.

During my initial conversation, I was told that the cost could be split into six instalments. When it came time to pay, I found out that only three instalments were available for my invoice amount, while six were only possible above a certain threshold. Later, when I discussed this with a manager, I was told that the team does not actually know in advance how many instalments will be offered. This kind of inconsistency does not inspire confidence and comes across as either poor communication or a willingness to tell customers what they want to hear.

I was also surprised that my car was not washed during its full day at the service center. I was offered the option to come back on another day for a complimentary wash, but making a separate trip out of town just for that was not practical. It feels like this could have been done at some point during the day.

Finally, a small and somewhat silly detail, but still an irritating one: somehow the clock in my car ended up being eight minutes off after the service. It is a minor issue, but details like this do affect the overall impression.

So while there were several aspects of the experience that I genuinely appreciated, there were also enough inconsistencies and small frustrations to leave me with mixed feelings. For a brand with BMW’s reputation, I believe the overall customer experience could be more polished and consistent.

I found the Customer service second to none. It was easy to book my MOT over the telephone with reminders sent nearer the date. The MOT was done on the day within the time specified. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The free vehicle health check was an added bonus.

No problem dropping my car off and excellent communication throughout re service and pick up time.
Staff were very helpful and friendly, as always at Sytner.
It was lovely to find my car had been valeted and washed on return - looked like new!
Price of service, although thorough, I feel could be more competitive. My only negative.

Problem I had was solved but the car was in for 5 days for what only took an hour
