Excellent service received by the team at AM Nottingham. Nothing too much trouble and a pleasant experience, dropping the car off, having the work done and arranging collection. All work done to a high standard, as you'd expect, and car returned spotless.

I took my vehicle to Aston Martin Nottingham for a safety recall related to the gearbox and battery. After collecting the car, it went into limp mode, displaying an electrical system fault failure. The car was recovered back to Aston Martin, where an AMDS diagnostic check revealed 5 new fault codes. Aston Martin has denied any responsibility, claiming that a pre-recall diagnostic showed various faults in the ECU, but not the ones triggering the multiple warning lights.
It’s important to note that these pre-existing codes did not trigger any warning lights or cause operational issues, indicating they were minor or inactive. If they were truly significant, Aston Martin should have flagged them during the initial health check. The fact that they did not raises serious questions about either the thoroughness of their checks or their willingness to inform customers of critical issues.
Aston Martin Nottingham is refusing to repair the electrical issues that clearly arose after they carried out the recall work.
To make matters worse, the pricing for repairs is nothing short of extortion:
• £564.58 for 2 exhaust clamps – The actual cost of these clamps is minimal, and any garage could fit them for £50-£100 in labour.
• £772.09 for two sidelight bulbs – The bulbs themselves cost no more than £10-£20.
• £1,213.21 for a brake light replacement – Specialist repair shops can fix this for around £200.
• £520.31 for a new TPMS sensor – Parkers quoted £55 for a programmed sensor and £20 for fitting at nearly any tyre shop.
These prices are astronomical and bear no resemblance to the actual cost of parts and labour. It feels like blatant exploitation.
I expected much more from a brand like Aston Martin. The experience has been nothing short of disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend Aston Martin Nottingham to anyone.
