Swoop helped plan the key parts of our trip from the 4-day horse back rides in Torres del Paine NP to the boat trip to Perot Moreno glacier and other areas in Los Glaciares NP. Everything was super well organized. Shuttles were on time with kind drivers. Our guide for the horse riding was well versed in the flora, fauna, and geology of Torres del Paine which we appreciated. The guide on the boat trip within Los Glaciares was also a great source of information. Both parts of trip were once in a lifetime experiences for us. I would recommend Swoop and their Chilean and Argentinian partners to anyone who wants to travel to South America. Our expectations were definitely exceeded. Thanks Swoop!

The tour was well organized and the guides were outstanding - a real pleasure to get to know.

Every moment of our holiday was amazing. The trip was so well organized, we didn't have to worry about a thing. Whalesound and our stay at the Eco Camp for W Trek were just as described by our Swoop representatives. We were advised on preparedness and were well equipped for the ever-changing Patagonian weather. I thoroughly enjoyed Patagonia and the Chilean people. I'm looking forward to my next trip to Chile and will definitely be booking with Swoop.

Augustin was attentive and helpful and arranged for us the Patagonia experience that was perfect for our family! Great job! When we arrived at Las Torres, our rooms, excursions etc. were all in place and went smoothly and efficiently. The transportation to and from Torres del Paine was also flawless. Great job SWOOP!

I really wanted to like Swoop, but I had some major issues with my experience.

Pros:
-Although I did feel some pressure to my trip into their pre-formed packages, Danny was ultimately knowledgeable in helping guide us to a trip structure that worked well for us
-The Swoop trip portal is pretty nice, with plenty of info and clear instructions

Cons:
-Most of the services they chose for transportation weren't great. Even though Swoop said they would reach out to confirm prior to arrival, none ever did
-There were several mistakes in the itinerary that marked the wrong time or place
-The most egregious issue though was that I paid for an add on tour and Swoop pretended it never happened. The tour was part of my itinerary, but the operator said it was never booked and made us pay again after they tried to reach out to Swoop. When I checked the portal, Swoop had changed the itinerary! I have saved and printed copies of both versions, so it isnt something I just misread. When I presented this issue to Swoop, they said they would have their team investigate and get back to me within 21(!) days. Spoiler, they never did. Basically, I got scammed for several hundred dollars and I would not recommend Swoop to anyone

We loved that Swoop was willing to create a custom itinerary for us. They helped us get the kind of boutique B&Bs we wanted to stay in, plan enough time for the hikes and other activities and destinations we wanted, and were accessible during our trip when we needed help. Excellent service and expertise.

Swoop planned an amazing trip for us - they took the time to learn what we were most interested in doing and seeing, and then helped us organize a trip that checked all those boxes. They arranged bike trips for us to tour the big cities, gave us recommended self-led hikes, arranged guided hikes, including one of our highlights - trekking across the Perito Moreno glacier in crampons. The accommodations that they booked were fantastic.

Swoop helped us put together a terrific itinerary and everything went off very smoothly. We loved the hotels they selected for us and the information on the website from planning for the trip to sites to visit on our free time was immensely helpful. There were a couple of small glitches that happened during the trip, none of which were the fault of Swoop, one being a late pickup at one of our hotels. The hotel staff called the after-hours Swoop line and they quickly helped resolve the problem.

Great guides and porters, very helpful, experienced, friendly, explained everything, and just a great bunch of people to be around; this was a highlight of the trip!

I’ve now tried using Swoop Patagonia twice over the past three years, and both experiences were disappointing.

In my initial inquiry each time, I was very specific in the comments section about my travel dates, the activities I wanted to do, and my overall budget range. Despite that, I received a generic, canned itinerary that had little to nothing to do with what I requested. It felt like they simply pulled keywords and sent one of their standard packages, followed by a push to schedule a two-hour phone call to “plan” the trip.

If you provide a detailed comments section on your website, why disregard what clients actually write? I’m happy to have a call, but a reasonable starting point would be a high-level itinerary that reflects the information provided. Instead, I was sent something almost entirely unrelated to my request.

When I pointed this out, the advisor (Danny) responded rudely and became snarky when I said that a call would be a waste of time unless he could provide an itinerary that at least met some of the criteria I had clearly outlined.

Do the basic groundwork before asking for hours of someone’s time to refine a trip.

I had a similar experience with their sister company, Swoop Antarctica. In my experience, they present a top-dollar itinerary by default and then push back if it doesn’t align with what you’re looking for.
Ultimately, I created my own AI-generated itinerary—drawing on my experience living in Chile—and was able to design exactly what I wanted in under 30 minutes.

In today’s digital world, I expect better. At a minimum, read and incorporate the information customers provide before requesting lengthy calls.

If I’m planning to spend $20,000 or more for a solo trip to South America, I expect a higher level of service. In the end, I did better planning it myself. Swoop appears to act primarily as a reseller for high-end resorts, and I found better pricing by booking directly. The “customized” itinerary they sent included only one day in one of the destinations I had actually asked to visit.

Overall, a frustrating and time-wasting experience.

Swoop is organized, communicative and delightful to work with.

Swoop were great. From a planning call, to helping with veggie food, and places to run, they were available and knowledgeable. Transfers were seamless, and when one local partner messed up, they were there to fix it.

We had an awesome time in Patagonia. We went with our daughters and I wanted this trip to be memorable. We enjoyed every moment of the trip. Ecocamp in Torres del Paine was fantastic. All the logistics managed by swoop was seamless. We just enjoyed waking up every day and go for an adventure. I want to go again.
