5 star hotel 1 star service
I rarely leave reviews, but my experience at Swandor in Antalya over the past week was so frustrating that I feel other travelers deserve to know the truth.
First of all, the hotel advertises itself as a 5-star resort, but when it comes to service, it doesn’t even reach the level of 1 star. The biggest issue during my stay was the so-called “taxi service” they provide. The prices are absolutely outrageous – completely disconnected from reality and way above what you would normally pay in Antalya. It feels like they are running a business on the side, squeezing as much money as possible out of the guests.
The worst part, however, is the man who is supposed to be responsible for the taxi orders: Furkan. From the very beginning, he was rude, arrogant, and unhelpful. Every time I approached him with a simple question, his answer was either “I don’t know” or some dismissive remark. Imagine – his actual job is to manage taxis and give guests information, yet he never seems to know anything.
And if you dare to ask him twice or challenge him in the slightest way, he completely loses control. He starts raising his voice, acting aggressively, and even shouting insulting words in Turkish. His behavior was not only unprofessional but also insulting to paying guests. To be honest, dealing with him ruined a big part of my holiday, because instead of feeling relaxed and welcomed, I constantly felt disrespected and treated with hostility.
Swandor might have beautiful facilities, but a hotel is only as good as the people working there. When you are forced to deal with staff like Furkan and a ridiculous taxi service that only cares about money, it makes the whole 5-star image meaningless.
My advice to anyone considering Swandor: think twice before booking. If the management takes guest experience seriously, they should urgently reconsider who they allow to represent their hotel at the front line of customer service. Until then, calling this place “5-star” is nothing but false advertising.
