this is my second big furniture order from susie Watson, I have ordered lots of smaller items but after recently getting a set of drawers and absolutely loving them I took the plunge and order a table.
There were some issues with delivery which was eventually sorted and I am thrilled with my table, absolutely stunning quality and I must say the girls in customer service were fantastic sorting out the delivery company... again fantastic service from susie Watson and another beautiful quality piece for me to treasure.

I love the look & style of Susie Watson furnishings & over the last couple of years have bought a lot of furniture & furnishings - bed, bedside tables, desk, 2 chairs, wardrobe, curtains, lamps & shades, quilts & bed linen & 14 cushions. The staff in my local store - Harrogate are unfailingly helpful. However, much of the furniture I’ve bought has arrived late & been faulty or damaged (a wardrobe door fell off on arrival & the rail had a glued crack which quickly snapped, headboard marked - drawers not running) The customer service has been absolutely appalling - the worst I have ever experienced. A reluctance to believe or accept responsibility despite ample evidence, an implication that I am in some way responsible or ‘fussy’, expectation that I would accept second rate goods or put them right myself and absolutely derisory offers of compensation. It’s been extremely expensive, disappointing & exhausting. I will be looking elsewhere for furniture for my dining room & kitchen.

😊 I just wanted to say that my love affair with Susie Watson Designs and Interiors started with her tassel trim……. And now there are cushions (I love her cushions) blankets/ throws and jugs of various shapes and sizes in every room in my little cottage. Thank you so much for these wonderful ‘pieces of art’…..they are absolutely that and they bring me so much pleasure every day. Thank you! Liz x

I ordered some of the blue white spot plates. When they arrived I was disappointed to find that the plates did not look like the image on their website (they were an insipid pale green instead of the lovely blue in the photos online). They provide a return label but charge £5.54 for this!! I asked for this to be waived as a gesture of goodwill because a) I am a regular customer & b) I was not happy that the plates looked nothing like the image online. They would only offer me a £5 voucher instead & refused to waive the return fee. Pathetic. I will not be shopping with Susie Watson Designs again.

I was given great guidance by Rachel in the Harrogate store in the selection of fabrics and design for my blinds. They have been made beautifully and now they are up they look fantastic. I’m delighted.

We stayed in Harrogate for the weekend and the icing on the cake was a visit to Susie Watson Designs. What a beautiful shop and the most lovely staff.
The shop is light and airy full of the most fabulous cushions, ceramics and even art work. I am completely smitten!
We took home a couple of gifts for our family and I am now looking forward another trip North to discuss purchasing some curtains.

Terrible quality. I bought 2 throws to use on my sofas. These throws are displayed the same as Susie Watson displays hers on the seat for sitting on them. I have only started using them 6 weeks ago and they are bobbly and look poor quality, great to look at but no good to use!

Expect overpriced products of poor quality with appalling customer service.
£1600 table split shortly after purchase. I was told I should have expected that (I didn't buy online), to get carpenter and sort out myself. This came from Susie Watson herself so indicative of the sort of culture and service to expect. They have since failed to respond to communications.

Terrible customer service. I was told my item would be delivered two weeks ago, but still nothing. I can see on the DX delivery app that the driver is in my area, but doesn't deliver. I work from home and know that no one has tried to deliver. Can't get hold of anyone at Susie Watson. Their phone lines go to pre-recorded messages. Emails are unanswered.

I recently had a problem with curtains from Susie Watson in Tunbridge Wells. After Susie Watson herself got involved the problem was sorted out satisfactorily and very quickly, with the help of Gemma the designer.
So a big thank you to them both for turning a negative into a positive.

I was given a candle stick holder as a Christmas present, I used it for the first time on Christmas Day and it was so unstable the candle fell more than once and nearly burnt a hole in my wooden dresser. We spent time trying to melt wax or shave the candle stick but to no avail - no candlesticks tapered or standard fit in the mould. I was told upon contacting customer services that ‘the candles are never a good fit as it’s impossible to make an exact space’ and ‘we’ve been making them for many years’ and told to use white tac. I don’t expect to have to do this and if a product is not fit for purpose and in this case a fire hazard I am surprised the company see it as acceptable to continue selling it without further development to ensure its safety.
Avoid this candlestick purchase if you can!!!

I have purchased curtains , furniture, throws , lampshades and cushions from Susie Watson with the help of interior designer Camilla from the Saffron Walden store.
My cottage is completely transformed - every room is now so cosy and welcoming and the curtains are so beautiful they are a work of art! . Because the curtains are lined with striped fabric , the house now also looks beautiful from the outside.
No complaints at all. Excellent service from start to finish - even the slight delivery hiccup with the very last piece of furniture was resolved quickly .
Please bring a shop to Norfolk!

I had such a wonderful, therapeutic time on the Christmas wreath-making workshop at Susie Watson’s store in Marlow. In the run up to Christmas it was a much needed blast of creative fun and learning, with dream facilitator; @anya_thegarden_fairy
We worked with the very best fresh evergreen cuttings and peacock feathers and I felt so proud to have made my own glorious wreath. Highly recommended!

This company will use every excuse under the sun when there is a problem and have an arrogance when it comes to customer service. They are never wrong and all issues are the fault of the customer.

I had one of their mugs, after 2 uses the handle came off as I lifted it out of the cupboard. I explained that I handwash my fine crockery and was told that was why it broke - because I did not wash it in a dishwasher!

The pottery is manufactured 5,000 miles away in Sri Lanka, shipped to the UK and then at the mercy of the UK couriers. However, they refuse to accept pottery can sustain damage in transit and that hairline cracks can occur that are not visible to the naked eye.

I also had a candlestick which was made using a mold. These are supposedly hand-finished, however, they fail to pay attention to the basics such as smoothing over the seams before glazing. Rather than acknowledge premium products should be finished thoroughly the staff use the excuse that they are 'hand finished'. If they are 'hand finished' why is this not corrected?

The styling is very sweet and I would have liked to have increased my collection, but the quality does not warrant to high prices.

This morning we visited the store in Marlow, it’s absolutely beautiful. However, more importantly, a wonderful lady named Colette helped to inform my direction. She was endlessly patient, full of ideas and very professional without being overbearing or pushy. Her knowledge of the stock was exemplary; she scurried around the store gathering samples to try against each other until we found the perfect combination. Thank you so much Colette!

Furniture which was delivered to us in May this year is unfit for purpose and has faded beyond recognition.

When you purchase outdoor furniture and accessories, you expect them to last longer than 3 months. We purchased 2 loungers, 2 stools and 2 slips for the stools. The loungers have faded to white, from teak (apparently this is normal in winter!! It is still summer!). The stools have faded, patchy and downright ugly. The covers of the stools have faded to such as extent their customer services assumed they were originally grey, when in fact they were rose.

They also stated their own covers have been outdoors for months but haven't faded. As mine have faded I would have expected a replacement, but that was never offered.

Not only the quality of their furniture, but the response from their customer services is also why I rated my experience as 1 star; totally dismissive and not interested. I have spent a lot of money and the furniture looks awful. Therefore, I am now having to replace them.

I certainly wouldn't recommend. Purchase from a company that supplies furniture that is meant to last longer than 3 months and with a passion for straightforward customer service.

I recently made my first purchase with Susie Watson Designs and my dog "Finley" was eagerly awaiting delivery of his new bed. Unfortunately when the dog bed arrived it was damaged and whilst this was disappointing the service I then received to resolve the issue was exceptional. After emailing customer services I got a response straight away (outside of what I would expect to be normal working hours). The employee apologised for my experience and said they would call the next day which they did. They made arrangements to collect the damaged product and replace it with a new one in the same day which was very efficient. Throughout the process the lady who helped me remained in constant communication and was extremely personal and helpful. My experience has resulted in one very happy dog and a returning customer. Exceptional service well done!

Over the last year I have used Susie Watson Designs in Marlow Buckinghamshire to revive my home, Everything in the store is beautiful and tasteful and a visit to it is a great pleasure, However, what has made Susie Watson stand out above other stores even more than the beauty of its furnishings is the staff. A warm welcome has always awaited me from Jo, Stella and other staff. They have shown amazing patience as I worked my way through choices of cushions, pottery and blankets.

The utterly amazing input of Clare Endersby has been transformational. Clare has visited my home three times to advise and order curtains, blinds, rugs, cushions, blankets lamps and shades and even items of furniture, tablecloths and pottery. Although everything bought because of Clare’s eye for flair and design has come from Susie Watson, the result is that the house looks like my own home and not something from a showroom. Recently when someone visited my home they commented on this fact and asked HOW I had achieved the rare quality of making a house a real home without it looking contrived.
Whilst this was a great compliment to me, it is also a compliment to Susie Watson Designs used with the guidance of Clare Endersby, I cannot thank her enough,

SW customer service is appalling! I purchased two teak garden loungers last year and have enquired what product they recommend to re-oil them to keep them in good condition.

Firstly, I was told to use teak oil…. Luckily- I tested it out on the back of the chair only to find it completely changed the colour of the wood to orange! Just like any other teak seating that is available on the market.
When I queried this with CS I was told they were white washed in India where they are made and they would let me know what to use to care for the wood AND retain the original ‘colour’ to the wood..
I am left with a product that should definitely not be kept outside - and is not suitable for the garden and I cannot treat despite SW stating the chairs must be treated regularly to keep them in good condition.

We do not use anything on teak. Its just bare wood which will go grey over time.
There is no whitewash or any other sort of finish on these. Teak oil will restore the slightly brown/tan finish. Without it they will get increasingly rustic looking and completely grey!

How I wished I'd read the reviews before placing a curtain and blind order worth over £7000.

The experience started well with the designer from the Marlow store visiting and patiently going through fabrics. After a few weeks of looking at alternatives I decided to place the order and that is where the negative experience started.

I requested confirmation that the fabric was in stock and was told it was before I paid. A day or 2 later (or at the time of order) I was told there wasn't enough fabric. I was pushed for time, so I chose an alternative.

Delivery timescales were quoted at 6-8 weeks. My order was fully paid on 24 March and today, some 11 weeks later I still do not have my order.

I have had to chase over 20 times (I never seem to receive an update). There is always an excuse, but no call to arms.

The whole thing has become such a negative experience, but as I placed only half the required window dressings needed I will have to continue on with them.

On chasing today I was told they will arrive next week. All well and good you think - unless you know that some 3 weeks ago I told the designer I would be away and could not take delivery.

The whole customer experience has been poor. Apologies do not make up for the inconvenience of being without curtains (imagine being woken at 4/5am every morning after getting home at 11 after a shift finishes). I really have felt like an inconvenience to them.

Had the service been ok I would have ordered curtain poles, more window dressings and other items, but the process has been tainted.

I will probably have to complete my order so I have matching window dressings - I wonder if they offer me a discount, by the sounds of what others have said I think not.

Come on Susie Watson, take a look at your processes and give us customers a service that matches the high end products you are selling.
