Starfury run some of the best organised, entertaining, intimate and caring events.

I had a great time at the recent event. Got to meet some of my fav actors again, and find some new favs! There was a great mix of talent, interesting panels and fantastic ops. I got my new fav Misha pic out of it!!

The way the staff and fans all respond in a crisis is amazing. Kudos to the team!

Really impressed with almost all of the staff & especially the volunteers. They handled things well considering the situation with the panels being closed on the Saturday. Also would like to commend the volunteer wearing the "im an a**hole" patch as he was the exact opposite when i heard some guests being very rude & trying to pick a fight with him he was very calm & resolved the situation perfectly. Shame the same cannot be said about the staff member called Helen who was rude & pompous during every interaction I witness. Fortunately she did not speak directly to me but I was on the receiving end of a disgusted look that I'm not clear what it was for as I was only walking by to get my autos.

Firstly i had a great weekend. It’s not my first Starfury con and I’ve always had a good experience. I’ve stewarded a couple of times now and really enjoyed my time. The cons are for the most part run well and organised, and apart from the usual scheduling shuffling about sometimes it’s smooth sailing and fun. However my issue arose after the con. Having a staff member (Helen) and someone who appears to be your official photographer from my best guess (Ashley) jump on a social media post of mine with negative comments. (A positive post btw that had no reason to attract negativity of this kind) and then double down and attack anyone who comments while going to another SM site and claim they are being attacked themselves has left a very sour taste in my mouth. I love attending your events and stewarding and now I’m concerned that I would not even be welcome if I bought tickets again because of a fight your staff started. I’m actually appalled that this sort of behaviour is seen as acceptable for staff members. Having staff badmouthing guests you’ve paid to appear at your cons on so loudly on SM seems unprofessional.

My first Starfury convention and I had high expectations as I had heard such positive things about them. It was brilliant. The guests were all clearly relaxed and happy to be there and engaging with the attendees, which speaks well of the organiser.

My only criticism, and it's minor, was having the autos at the same time as panels meant having to choose between them, which wasn't great and I felt a bit sad missing panels, it was also commented on by some of the guests how there were less people in the main hall during their panel. But I'm sure it's difficult working out all the timings to fit everything in, so it's a minor criticism and it didn't take away from the fantastic weekend.

I took away a star due to one of the staff being super aggressive and rude to myself and a friend for no reason (including physically stopping us from moving) and then not apologising when she realised she was in the wrong, this was the second time over the con that she was very rude and aggressive for no reason. That same staff member has also been online badmouthing one of the guests and his fans, which is really not a good look and doesn't reflect well on the organisation at all.

Overall I was highly impressed and will definitely be attending future CR events.

Edit: since posting this review I have seen the amount of frankly libellous comments being allowed on the official Facebook page and it is seriously disheartening and makes me question whether this is really as friendly and welcoming an organisation as I had been led to believe. There have also been one staff member and one person who says they are associated with Starfury going onto people's positive social media posts and being very toxic towards one of the guests and his fans. I removed a star for this because while the event itself was brilliant this put a really bad taste in my mouth.

I’ve been to Cross roads cons only twice, but both times have been such an incredible weekend of meeting new people, being surrounded by this amazing community and just having an insane time.

I don’t have any faults to give, like it’s all been so good. The panels always feel so intimate and cosy in a way because you know they’re just for us, and this con, and the guests have always been so funny and lovely to listen to and meet.

All the staff and creators of this con deserve so much gratitude for the insane conventions they create!! Thank you.

I tried to only go to one convention as a treat, but then the guests were announced for the next one and I accidentally bought a ticket, and the same has happened for the next one! Once you go to this con, you just don’t want the magic to end so keep going lol

First ever con and this was best to start off with. Everything was amazing!

Attended my first starfury event. I found the booking process easy and good communication on their socials. Great groups set up for newbies. Organised lines for photo ops and quick collection times. Cute merchandise with the ticket.

My only quibbles which are not off putting for future events are - more seating - especially in the morning as main hall does not remain open and there is nowhere at all to sit and when I did find one I was quite sternly told too go away on two occasions which I felt was a bit unnecessary.

The staff and volunteers are amazing, and I could not have done this without them. I have been going to conventions for many years and out of the bigger ones, Starfury is the best I have been because of the care they take disabled with people, and those with mental health. Sean is one of the nicest people I have met. The dude is always chill and so easy to approach, he does this for the love of the fans, yeah, I get its a business but has never been about the money. I have made life long friends at the conventions and I have not even started on the guests to be honest, they are a bonus on top of the Pie (because Dean would on accept cake) The Starfury family are the best so come join the madness and get hooked for life.

Just got back from Crossroads 7. My mum and I have been to all of the Crossroads and now only go to Starfury events. My mum needs access help at the conventions and all of the Starfury staff are amazing at making sure that everyone is looked after. I’ve seen them looking after people like my mum who needs seating space for her wheelchair in the hall, to people like friends who have had a bit of a panic and the staff including Sean have checked on these friends and made sure they’re ok. To just generally being amazing people and saying hello and checking that everyone is having a great time. Cannot fault this company and will continue going to their events for many many years to come.

Thank you all for sure an amazing set of weekends for the past 7 events. Can’t wait for more to come.

I’ve been to two starfury cons now (Crossroads 6 and 7) and had an incredible time at both. I’ve been to other similar events with similar guest line ups or even possibilities, but nothing will compare to the organisation, relaxation and family that you get and feel at a starfury con. Sean Harry makes absolutely everybody no matter who you are feel so welcomed and valued to the event, and works so hard to make it accessible and enjoyable. At cr6 the event was moved to a different venue than usual which turned out to be less accessible, where other event organisers would and have brushed aside such things as it would ‘tarnish’ their brand, Sean acknowledged and validated the troubles we had on stage and moved the events back to the original site which I found incredibly admirable and appreciated. I had the first one at the original site this past weekend, and whilst the hotel itself has some access flaws (at absolutely NO fault of starfury, hilton as a chain just sucks), the con itself runs so much smoother. 1200+ attendees and it all flows into one big family reunion of sorts that is extremely well cared for and organised by Sean and his team. The staff in every corner of the convention work tirelessly to give everyone a 5* quality experience, offering equality and advice at every turn. From the main halls where accessibility is promptly organised and accessed for panels and talks, to the photo op rooms where the photographers take time to make each moment special and even spend time to make sure my assistance dog is facing the camera, to the stewards who are fans themselves volunteering and staff at the photo collections carefully helping us pick up our final photos, each corner is filled with the same sense of joy and respect. No matter how busy rooms get, such as autos, there’s always someone on hand to help you, such as staff offering a queue buddy system for assistance so we aren’t overwhelmed waiting, to offering to get me a drink if I needed one. Everyone goes above and beyond to make each weekend absolutely unforgettable in the best way. I could think for so long on things to try and complain on, or that could be better, but there’s such little things because they have absolutely every corner covered no matter what circumstances they find themselves in. The only things from an accessibility standpoint (as a selective mute autistic wheelchair user who ALSO has an assistance dog) that could be implemented in the future over time which would be awesome to see but is certainly not a requirement would be a sign language interpreter, as I know some are often volunteers like the stewards, for the panels to help deaf, HoH or selective mute fans have the opportunity to partake and ask during panels, and for possible accessibility queues for autographs but since the queue buddy system worked so well it’s definitely not something that would need a requirement or fixing if it makes things harder. Even coming up with those took so long to think of, as there’s truly just so much care and appreciation for every guest and attendee within the company. So if you’re truly looking to go to a convention that feels more like a safe and cozy family reunion and want to make friends for life, starfury is the place to look without a doubt. I cannot wait to be back in april for crossroads 8.

That’s my 2nd Starfury con and I’m so satisfied. Everything is so organised and the line up we getting is incredibly amazing.

If we're reviewing the show, then cant fault it in slightest, pulling of the calibre of guests they did, and making sure the weekend ran as smoothly as possible, despite some factors beyond their control deserves credit.

Starfury has always been relaxed and fun conventions, this one was not the exception.

My only quibbles are not about the show, but the hotel, so wont mention them here

Another fantastic Starfury convention this weekend in Birmingham. These events are fun, friendly and so well run, I can't wait for my next one.

It was my first-ever convention last August which was the Witchbomb event for MFS and Warrior Nun. I met my hero, Kristina Tonteri-Young. I also met Olivia Delcan ☺️🫰🏼😇 Everyone was amazing and I felt their genuine love for all of us.
I will go again and again and again 😃🫡

My first convention ever. And it was overall very well organized. Super friendly people.

The best convention I’ve ever attended so far. Sean is an amazing organiser. The staff are awesome too. Looking forward to more fun and exciting conventions with our favourite actors. It was worth travelling 6000 miles to get to his events.

I've been to many conventions, but it's never really been like this. I got the chance to steward, made many new friends, and the guests were amazing. Everyone was also very welcoming.

Unlike in many conventions, it felt like the guests were actually a part of crowd, like they weren't just there for some pictures and autographs and then left again, it felt more personal. Especially with the opening and closing ceremony, the fanmeets and the cosplay competition. And I just think that's amazing.

At the other conventions the guests are also usually not interacting with each other, but here the guests spent a lot of time together too and it was fun to see. Also for us the chances of bumping into them in the lobby of the hotel were pretty big and it made for some funny memories.

I don't know if it was just the fact that my favourite actor was there; or the fact that there were so many amazing people to meet in both fandoms; or everything about that weekend combined, but I'll always cherish it.

I bought my ticket for next year not even 24h after arriving back home.

Attended a convention run in August and it was one of the most fun and chilled out experiences at a convention I have had in a long time. Best guests, very organised, clear plans for the day and lovely staff who were always happy to help and answer any question. Left feeling deflated (post con blues 🤣) however didn't hesitate to buy another ticket for the following year as soon as we was home! Definitely worth attending!
