Moved my character to the wrong data centre by accident and was told to wait 3 days. Instead i have to wait 3 months to now move my character and support can do nothing or will do nothing. why is it time gated in the first place? useless support

I pre-ordered Life Is Strange: Reunion Collector's Edition on 1-23-2026.
This was well in advance of the 3-26-2026 release date. I want to highlight this so there's no confusion about if my order was placed on time.
The release date has come and passed and I looked at the tracking expecting to see it any day. The tracking implies I will not receive my pre-ordered game for almost a week after release date.
My *PRE-ORDERED* item is DELAYED.
That is utterly baffling and asinine.
I opened a ticket since I purchased the product directly from Square Enix's online store. I voiced frustrations that the purpose of pre-ordering was to get the item on release date and that I had wanted to directly support the company by buying directly from them and was now being punished for it when I could have pre-ordered at a local Gamestop and picked up release date.
Their customer service reps response was to give me the tracking information and explain to me where the item was, completely bypassing my complaint in it's entirety.
They literally just sent me my tracking information as a response.
Tracking information that I already have.
Tracking information that I directly referenced in my complaint as the reason how I know its going to take over a week to get my order.
They literally just gave me the exact information I provided when I filed the complaint and dressed it up as a solution.
This is a joke.

UT-shirt commandé chez square enix store. Je suis très content de la qualité de ceux ci. Je les mets très régulièrement et ils ne bouge pas. Même après une bonne vingtaines de lavage. Très content.

Meine Collector's Edition von Octopath Traveler 0 kam leider ohne Spiel an (befindet sich im Normalfall außerhalb der Box). Die Box selbst war gut verpackt und kam im einwandfreien Zustand an. Der Support hat sehr schnell reagiert und mich mit einem kostenlosen Downloadcode des Spiels versorgt. Das physische Spiel wurde mir kurze Zeit später zugeschickt. Bin begeistert, so geht guter Service!
Final Fantasy X/X2 Remaster…
I purchased Final Fantasy X/X2 Remaster from Amazon and when I went to download the X2 part of the game for some reason it was showing as unavailable on the Nintendo eshop. I contacted both Amazon and Nintendo who were both very unhelpful. I contacted Square Enix support and they were brilliant. Long story short they identified that the original download code had been incorrectly configured and sent me an entirely new code to use. Happy customer.

The customer support is horrible and they lie to you.
They wouldn't help me cancel my sub when I lost access to my account. So I had to do a charge-back through my bank. Finally got access back and contacted support about reactivating my account. They told me to repay the amount in Crysta; so I did, then they fully terminated my account. Their "customer support" is very unhelpful and rude. Cannot contact them via phone; only scrappy online support.

Square enix is the worst company when it comes to their games and supporting the community. For instance buying the supreme commander rights and not doing anything with them. not making a new game like the fans want and not selling it to the community or anyone to do anything with. They are money grabbers and nothing else!
mini-jeux de FF7 Rebirth
Bonjour,
Je joue actuellement à Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, que je trouve globalement très réussi… sauf pour certains mini-jeux. Certains sont tellement compliqués qu’ils bloquent la progression pour ceux qui souhaitent obtenir les orbes, participer au Battle 3D ou réussir le Pampa Crush.
Que l’on soit en mode facile ou difficile, la difficulté reste pratiquement identique.
Si ce choix de conception est intentionnel, il enlève tout l’intérêt… et le plaisir.
Je ne peux évidemment pas quantifier combien de joueurs rencontrent ces mêmes difficultés, je ne sais pas... mais en lisant plusieurs retours sur les réseaux et forums de joueurs, je ne suis clairement pas le seul à ressentir cela.
Une mise à jour ajustant vraiment les modes de difficulté serait la bienvenue.
Le but d’un mode facile est de permettre d’apprendre, de progresser, puis éventuellement de retenter en plus difficile si on le veut. Ici, malheureusement, peu importe le mode: c’est la même frustration.
En résumé :
Si on est excellent aux mini-jeux :on avance
Si on est moyen ou pas très à l’aise :on se retrouve bloqué sans orbes, sans trophées, sans récompenses.
Au final, cela gâche l’expérience, au point où je me demande si j’ai envie d’acheter le troisième volet. C’est dommage, car le jeu a un énorme potentiel.
I wanted to try Final Fantasy XIV
I wanted to give Final Fantasy XIV Online a try. So I signed up for the Square Enix website so I could play. I then could not sign in, at all, even though I had JUST made the account. I tried changing my password 3 times. Still could not sign in.
I then tried to contact support. The website wouldn’t work at all. So I looked up their phone number. The message said “Starting September 30, 2025 we will no longer provide phone support.” So I just couldn’t get any help.
So they lost a potential customer, if I had likes the online game, I lost likely would have bought em things from it. But it won’t even let me in the game so. 🤷🏼♀️ I guess they don’t want new players.
Pre orders can't be canceled?
I pre ordered an item from this storefront. I needed to make a change roughly 20 minutes after I ordered it. I was told because I waited too long the order had already been fullfilled. Keep in mind this was a pre order and the release date was over a month away and 20 minutes had passed. Have you ever heard of a pre order you can't cancel? I haven't... After contacting their so called customer service and being fed nonsense from them they said I can refuse the order when UPS delivers it. Well guess what release day came and went no delivery at all. Finally a week later a ups package was on my porch...funny how that one package didn't need to be signed for even though every other package I have ever had that required a signuature had to be signed. (I am saying they called and canceled that directly to ups)
This company thinks that because they will go out of their way to make your life hard you won't get your refund think again. This is no Japan. This is America. We have consumer protections. Now I start the process of a return with them. They will be given one week to produce acceptable results or I will be contacting my bank and going that route.
I will never ever purchase anything from their storefront again. Horrible company and horrible people. I don't even want to buy their games anymore after this. This has been nothing but a waste of time...a painful one at that. AVOID these clowns.

Die Verpackung der bestellten Sammelfigur wurde beim Transport leider eingedrückt. Für Sammler extrem nervig. Rücksendungskosten hätte ich selber zahlen müssen (von Österreich nach Frankreich aber definitiv zu teuer). Daher nahm ich den 10 EUR Gutschein, der mir angeboten wurde. Naja...
La blague FF14 "gratuit"
Alors j'ai voulu essayer FF14 et son fameux essais gratuit... la blague! Je vais sur le site pour commencer l'essais, il faut créer un compte Square... donc je me dis "bon je vais me connecter avec mon compte déjà existant" eh beh non ça marche pas! Donc j'en créé un nouveau... je remplis tout un tas de questions... et bla bla et le nom de famille de ma mère et tout ça... puis je dois entrer mes identifiants PSN pour que mon essais gratuit figure dans mes achats. Jusque là ça va, j'allume ma PS5, je télécharge le jeu qui apparait dans mes achats puis je le lance... et là il faut se connecter... sauf qu'ils ne demandent pas l'identifiant mais le code SquareEnix... introuvable! Sur la page de l'essais il est nulle part, donc je me dis que ça doit être le site de Square... eh beh mes nouveaux identifiants ne marchent pas! Je tente le support... mais on ne peut pas écrire sans le code Square!!! Allez vous faire mettre Square et merci pour la perte de temps...

First of all, they do business with many gacha game companies that are shady and predatory such as GUMI, which develop expensive Global version gatcha games, that have the Square logo and eventually these gacha games end after a few years,
so players lose their money and game progress. Basically you could say that these type of games are heists. Square takes no responsibility and instead they advertise these games on their social media to maximize profit. Also as I have mentioned in my review about GUMI, when War Of The Visions , that has the Square logo, ended service they refunded only South Korean and Taiwan players which is unfair
and when I asked the reason they didn't responded, so they are probably racists and USA citizens, Europeans and others mean nothing to them. Square didn't gave me an explanation for this either.
Many Square games are anti religion especially against Christianity but lately, as I found out, FF14 main story is very insulting and offensive against Ancient Greek religion, Hellenism (which is still practiced) and against Ancient Greek History. Basically every Ancient Greek Deity is crazy and evil on the main story quest. The death of Athena is one of the most disgusting scenes that I have seen in my life in a game/movie. As a Greek I consider these contents very offensive/disrespectful and I have mentioned all of this to Square in the past which does nothing about it, they still keep offending everything Ancient Greek related and of course notice that they avoid disrespecting their own Japanese religions, which is another indication that they are racists.
On their last expansion of Final Fantasy 14 I had terrible lag/delay on frontlines at a point that i couldn't play anymore and their customer just didn't care when I mentioned this.
Also I have asked for a refund many times about their gacha games and they refused it. Case number 00297737.

Squaresoft était la meilleur boite de développement de J-RPG. Depuis la fusion avec Enix, c'est une catastrophe. Portage/remaster fainéant et truffé de bug, nouveaux jeux sans âmes, sans intérêt, sans "fantasy". Ce n'est plus qu'une machine à brasser du pognon, plus préoccupé par le merchandising que par le développement de jeux vidéos.

Absolut nicht zu empfehlen!!! Habe mir mit Echtgeld eine Währung gekauft ( Crysta) diese wurde mir weggenommen, weil sie ablaufen??? Geht's noch? Schlecht geworden oder was? Wer also gerne Mal Geld in einem Game ausgeben will, kann das in Final Fantasy XIV absolut vergessen, denn die nehmen einen dies ohne Grund WEG. Just realized no cross over for gear from ff7 remake to rebirth. Slow and boring seems to be SE's business model now. I thought we were getting three parts of the same game not three games I would have to level up each time. Never again will this greedy company waste my time.
Misleading Purchase Process – Hidden Subscription
I recently purchased the Final Fantasy XIV Complete Edition under the assumption that I was buying a full game. At no point during the checkout process was it made explicitly clear that the game requires a separate, ongoing monthly subscription just to access the content I paid for. The only mention of this was buried in fine print or hidden in the user agreement — nowhere near the purchase button, nowhere prominent.
After realizing this only after payment, I reached out to Square Enix for a refund. I hadn’t touched any paid content, hadn’t finished installing, and made the request in good faith. Their response? A blanket “no refunds” policy, pointing to the EULA I "accepted" mid-purchase. No consideration, no flexibility, no customer support — just policy and links.
This kind of practice feels intentionally misleading and absolutely exploitative to anyone unfamiliar with MMORPG pricing models. Square Enix has shown they care more about short-term revenue than long-term trust. I’ve initiated a chargeback through my payment provider and won’t be purchasing anything from them again.
If you’re thinking of buying the game, know this: you are paying upfront for a product you won’t even be allowed to keep playing unless you subscribe monthly. That should be the first thing you see on the page — not buried in fine print.
