Simply the best way to buy an ukulele. I came there especially from Spain and it was definitely worth the trip! They have such a variety of choice and the SUS staff is so helpful. To have a choice to try and compare different models and ask for advice is precious. If I visit a regular musical shop, they usually have maybe one instrument that I may be potentially interested about (and they don't know much about ukuleles). But here there is plenty, and they also offer models that cannot be found anywhere else. Great shop!

After a year of learning, I decided to buy a new Ukulele. But then I needed a hard well built padded case.
The communication from SUS was accurate and honest so after our holiday I ordered what was recommended.
It arrived within 24 hours by DPD, and proved to be perfect.

There are nothing but rave reviews for the new Flight Fireball Baritone. But try to find one! I sat on waiting lists in Canada for months, and on a whim tried the SUS and was astounded to see they had them in stock. I ordered, they packed it like a baby, and FedEx delivered in a few days. Alex's unbiased reviews, prompt attention to queries, and the world's best inventory of instruments make the SUS a gem in the ukulele world.

My latest online purchase was fairly-marketed, attractively-priced & delivered promptly. As a second-hand uke “sold as seen”, it needed a bit of TLC - but it has already proved an excellent buy. My bandmates are envious! I was confident buying “blind” from Southern Ukulele, because of their commitment to quality & service. In the past, they have courteously declined to sell me a uke that had not passed their QA. Need I say more?

I would like to especially thank Romeo who patiently listened to my questions. As you are too far away for me to visit it was important that I could talk through aspects of the ukelele carefully before purchase. Can I also say that your reviews on the Web are also a great help. That pointed me to the Snail brand when I was researching the baritones. It also explained that you had researched the strings and restrung the ukelele with something better. This was my second visit to Southern Ukulele Store and once again I was welcomed by the most amazing bunch of guys who are all passionate about this fabulous little musical instrument, namely the ukulele . Romeo , who has The Most beautifully groomed moustache dealt with me while I awaited Alex who was busy with a customer to demonstrate two left hand ukes I was interested in. Romeo was so interesting to talk to and very passionate about the uke and kept me entertained until Alex was free. I had watched the videos Alex had produced for their YouTube channel and his left hand uke playing is mindblowing, and the fact that he can play right hand ukes upside down equally as well, is just awe inspiring ! He is quite an inspiration and instilled a confidence in my “just for fun” ability to want to get much better ! The atmosphere in the shop is just pure fun and I would recommend anybody to go and sample this as I was smiling all the time I was there . For me being left hand and meeting an inspirational genius on the uke that was Alex, was like meeting a personal hero !
The owner of the store, Rob, was such a down to earth “one of the guys” and I was taken by his genuine passion for the uke, his genuine honesty and his very likeable manner too. The uke I was going to buy ,Rob spotted was faulty and simply explained the issue and that he wouldn't be able to let me have it as a result, and I was really appreciative of his honesty as I wouldn't have been any the wiser without his knowledge and genuine honesty . The second uke I was looking at actually turned out to be a dream as it was an electro-acoustic with built in tuner and looked absolutely spectacular , and value for money wise , was a no brainer . It sounded simply joyous even with my amateurish ability . As a bonus , Alex had the strings changed to a favourite of his and it actually made what to me was already an amazing sound, even better !!! Thus, I now own a pure left hand cutaway beautiful little magical instrument and cannot thank the staff at Southern Ukulele Store for being so very friendly, helpful, inspiring me to want to keep playing and improving , welcoming , and happy to spend as much time with me as their passion for this little instrument is truly infectious . A mention to Guns as well as Phil to complete the team I’m aware of ,will also welcome any one interested in taking up the ukulele and once again I would recommend making the journey to visit them , I travelled from Windsor, as they made the long journey a day out I will never forget and they will always be my go to shop for all things ukulele related ! They are tops . Go and find out for yourselves , you'll quickly agree with me !
With such a beautiful little instrument, I also purchased an amazing gig bag to protect my new baby as she deserves very special treatment too .

Great communication from Alex at Southern Ukulele. Unlike many retailers, you get a personal service with good information and replies to all of your questions. Very pleased with my purchase of both Flight and RISA LP ukuleles.

Very helpful advice from Alex who listened and found me instruments that he thought matched my wishes. No pressure at all to spend more than I needed and really happy with the lovely uke I eneded up with. A great way to find the instrument you need.

I recently purchased a Kanile’a Manako ukulele from the Southern Ukulele Store. The Manako is a joint venture between SUS and Kanile’a in which Alex specked the ukulele & it is a masterpiece. Sounds lovely- both mellow & sweet at the same time. The clarity in the notes is amazing. The curly mango is visually stunning. I follow the Store on YouTube, Facebook and newsletter so when this rare ukulele came up I knew I wanted it. I corresponded with Alex via Facebook and email & a phone call (fan girl squeak). We arranged the purchase & they expertly set it up and shipped it me me in the United States. It arrived in 5 days time. I am in love with my ukulele. If you want a quality ukulele and impeccable customer service, this is the store for you!

I'd heard some good reviews from friends about their purchases from the Southern Ukulele Store, so decided to buy one from them too. I'd had my eye on one that was "B-stock", which they said may have minor cosmetic faults, but it was a good price. I ordered it online at about 10.30pm on Thursday evening & it arrived at about 10.30am Saturday, so an amazingly speedy delivery, & very well packaged. The instrument itself looks immaculate, no marks to be seen & plays beautifully. Very pleased with it & the Store. Also thanks to Alex for his very polite reply to an email I sent.

I'm new to the Ukulele and found the Southern Ukulele Store from their YouTube channel. Their content has proved to be really useful to me, and so when I needed some Uke accessories I decided to spend my money with them, rather than Mr. Bezos. I’ve bought strings from SUS before, so when I decide that I deserved a new uke they seemed the logical choice. I did something that I said I would never do, buy online. But with their video reviews of various Ukes it was just as if I was there.
I decided on a Millar tenor, ordered it on a Friday night and it was delivered the next Tuesday morning and it turned out to be exactly as portrayed in the video!
Couldn’t be more pleased! It plays beautifully and I’m sure that it makes me a better player! Yes, it’s that good!
