Excellent service
The flooring I ordered was at a very competitive price. I dealt with Sharon on the phone to make the order and she was extremely helpful. The flooring arrived on time but unfortunately four of the packs were damaged in transit. Source Wood did offer to replace these but the company laying the floor had already been booked in so to reschedule, would either have lost them a day's work or cost me an extra day! Fortunately they managed to juggle with the pieces they had and made a good job. Obviously we were very disappointed at the time but the company as a gesture of goodwill made a very generous refund. The whole experience was made easier with Sharon's help. I appreciate that the damage caused to the flooring was not Source Woods fault as it happened in transit. The company and Sharon did their best to make my experience a good one. I would definitely recommend this company.

Cut Size Planks in Packs With No Notifacation.
I bought 14 packs of engineered oak flooring 14 mm thick 190 mm wide x 1900 mm long each pack containing supposidley 8 full planks at 2.88 square metres.. on fitting the floor the first 4 packs contained full boards. The remaining 10 packs contained cut boards varying between 650 mm , 950 mm and 1250 mm. They dont tell you on the boxes or any of the paperwork that there are any cut sizes. I ended up with 8 x 650mm supposed starter boards that are useless and other size supposed starter boards that are absolutely useless and wastefull. The manufacturer and Source Wood refused to replace or refund the rubbish they sent out. Only one starter board is required to fit a floor. All my staggered joints are run in line and fitted properly because I could tongue and groove the useless boards. DIY customers wont be able to do this. I managed to fit my floor without having to buy more and doing it right. There is no paperwork or notifacation on the boxes stating the packs contain cuts. One to avoid. Source Wood and manaufactures have a lot to learn and do not buy their goods!!!!

Dear Mr Elliott,
I’m so saddened to come into work this morning to read this review following our conversation late Friday. As I explained to you, I had spoken to the manufacturer multiple times during the day and explained the issue you were having but, as there was no fault with the flooring, they were not prepared to send another pack FOC. However, I did offer to waive the £50+vat delivery fee on ordering 1 more pack as a good will gesture.
It is industry standard to have a split board in most of the boxes, these are designed as starter boards to help stagger the flooring joins. It is important the flooring has the recommended staggered gaps between rows in order to complete the installation correctly, failure to do this could affect your warranty.
It is also important that you add 8-10% wastage to allow for cuts etc as stated on our website. This would have given you enough long boards to complete your project without issue.
As a small online company, customer service is so important to us, Sharon and I work incredibly hard to ensure every customer has a positive experience with us and our Trustpilot reviews have reflected this up until now. As I’m sure you aware, unfair, misleading reviews can be extremely damaging to small businesses.
I'm struggling to understand how, throughout the whole process of ordering your free samples, me sending you the quote, ordering the flooring and a seamless delivery, you believe our service only warrants 1*.
Whilst your review is extremely frustrating and upsetting, we are supply only and should not be held accountable for wastage and installation errors.
** Following Mr Elliotts second review I would like to add the following:

Quote was sent and they were happy to proceed.
23rd September - Flooring was delivered without issue.
Wednesday 29th October Mr Elliott emailed in and then called to say he couldn't finish his floor as he hadn't used any of the starter boards.
I called and emailed the suppliers multiple times during the day to try and have a few extra planks sent to Mr Elliott, however, as there was no issue with the flooring they were not prepared to do this. I offered free delivery for one extra pack (at a loss to us) to try to resolve the situation to which Mr Elliott replied threatening to leave us a terrible trustpilot review. I then called Mr Elliott and explained the situation and the effort I had gone to to try and resolve things for him which he seemed to understand and appreciate. He said that he would be able to make use of the other boards and complete his flooring. There was no mention of any boards being difficult to fit, had he made us aware at the time, then we would have been able to arrange replacements.
In all our years in Business, we have never had such a complaint from a customer regarding the starter boards. It's been extremely difficult for Sharon and I to comprehend how we deserve a 1 star review for all the hard work we put in to every single sale and after sale.
