The solo’s ‘Kenya Safari Adventure & Beach’ holiday was a great experience, seeing Lions, Giraffes and Water Buffalo up close. The lions of ‘Lake Nakuru’ were so close, at 2m, it was a bit concerning. But they had just eaten, so they showed no interest in us, in our Safari vehicle. Also, our Solo’s tour guide ‘Gary Bailey’ was great, smoothing out any issues on the holiday, as they arose. I will definitely be booking with Solo’s again.

Wonderful balloon trip and Safari Champagne breakfast.
So many wonderful animal experiences. Personally, I enjoyed seeing the Lion family with cubs and feeding the giraffes. However, seeing the elephants and hippos in their own habitat was very enjoyable. The hotels were also top class with very tasty food and luxurious settings, seeing Zebras outside my bedroom window was Awesome.
Gary, our Tour Lead, did an Amazing job keeping us happy and resolving any issues very quickly with minimal disruption. Well done Gary and Solos for such a memorable holiday. Highly recommended.

Just returned from Kenya Safari and beach trip. The Masai Mara safari far exceeded my expectations. An amazing experience we saw so many wonderful animals, including the big 5 and much more. Lake Nakuru was beautiful location ,wonderful birds and animals in spectacular scenery. Mombasa beach was a welcome rest, a lovely hotel and beach. The whole trip was made so easy and exciting, we had a great safari team who were so accommodating whilst raising our awareness
of the importance of the conservation of the flora and fauna of the various locations. The trip was made very special by our wonderful tour leader, Gary Bailey. He was great leader, very clear and organised, he generated a safe and secure environment for the group. A great representative for Solos. We had lots of fun and laughter.. it’s a holiday I would highly recommend..

Kenya 2026 was quite simply the best holiday I’ve ever had! First time travelling with Solos and I highly recommend them. Our tour leader, Gary, was brilliant, he organised a meet up at the airport which immediately bonded the group. Our safari days were incredible, clearly well organised by Solos with African tour guides, and Gary liaised with them in situ to get game drives which far exceeded our expectations. There was a problem at the beach resort which Solos would have been unaware of, however, having a tour leader with us meant this was quickly resolved and we were even offered an extra excursion in Mombassa which the group thoroughly enjoyed. Social time was great fun and Gary’s clear communication and ideas meant there were options to suit everyone. I’d go back tomorrow and do it all again if I could!

Absolutely amazing holiday to Kenya with Solos. The drivers on safari had excellent knowledge and knew exactly where to take us. We were very privileged to see so many animals, birds, flora and fauna. The balloon ride was awesome. The holiday ended with a few days at the beach for a much needed rest. All the accommodation was great and in great locations and good food.
Gary our guide throughout could not do enough for us, great energy and made sure we had the most amazing time.

Mandy was a great guide for our Truffles & Trails adventure! East going , thoughtful and kind. She really helped us manage the heat!
The Hotel Staff was superb! Loved each of them. Kind and great hospitality!
Enjoyed the trails, the medieval towns and an afternoon swim!

First Solos trip to Santorini.
Loved the camaraderie between the guests it really made the holiday .
The hotel was basic but clean . The breakfast offering was miserable so had to go out every morning in search of real coffee and food .
Lovely rooftop patio with plunge pools and sun loungers . Went on several organised trips, felt rushed but saw a lot of the island .
Would I do another solos holiday? Probably but I’d make sure the hotel was of a higher standard

Everything was well organised by our Rep Kim, she sorted all the trips and our evenings out and always involved everyone, The staff were lovely, Roof top bar and plunge pool were Ideal and a great meeting place for our evening get together's. The trips out were lovely and the Location of the Hotel was great, Beach and Restaurants were close by. I had an amazing time and met some lovely people, I would definitely recommend Santorini especially for a first time Solo Holiday.

Great hotel with an OUTSTANDING STAFF! Great to have ONE hotel to call our home base.
MANDY, our guide was an experienced guide with knowledge of the areas we visited.With her ability to speak Italian, we were able to comfortably travel through the villages and surrounding area with comfort. She had suggestions for our leisure day and assisted us finding transportation.She was a wonderful companion to us all!! I would only take a Solos Tour with MANDY as my guide!

Nice variety of activities and walks(unfortunately due to the extreme heat we had to curtail some)!

Solos should be more forthright concerning American travelers and the price they pay compared to the UK travelers.I was never informed of the HUGE PRICE DIFFERENCE!! It would have saved us quite a bit of money!!!!

Tour leader Scott was a great guy. He gelled with the whole group, despite the additional pressures of a lost passport, lost luggage from America and someone being ill part way through a hike. He is a very professional tour guide and this is my third trip and he has been the best. Such a shame his team didn’t get further in the world cup 🤣 Great trip - thanks Scott

I have just returned from a “discovery” Solos holiday to Puglia,Italy. It was my third Solos holiday but my first trip to Italy and it did not disappoint. Our tour leader Scott was great. He sorted issues out efficiently, he had a great sense of humour and was very kind. He never let anyone get lost and always waited patiently for anyone popping into a shop or like me taking another photo. His words were let your needs be known and he would accommodate our wishes as best he could and he did. It was a fantastic holiday with wonderful people and I will defiantly be going on more Solos holidays.

Just returned from a great week in Italy. The tour was full of variety with interesting sightseeing visits to many Puglian towns and cities. The fellow travellers were extremely friendly and good company.
Our Tour Leader, Scott, was most helpful and gave great advice throughout the week and it was brilliant not to have to make all the individual travel arrangements myself.
The hotel was good although a little out of the way from the town. I had a large room with excellent shower and air conditioning. The hotel staff were friendly but it seemed that there were not enough of them, we had to queue at the bar each evening for a pre-dinner drink. The swimming pool was huge and both the pool and pool area were spotlessly clean as was the hotel. I will definitely book with Solos Holidays again.

Really good holiday. Others in the group welcoming and inclusive. Scott, the leader, made us all very welcome, with lots of banter but also looked after us well, was organised and safety conscious. He sorted out problems efficiently and in a caring way.
Hotel could have been better. It was adequate but not what I would consider 4 star. Would have liked more variety of food at dinner and a range of different pasta dishes. Breakfasts needed a larger variety of fruit and cooked food. Good yoghurts and cereal on offer. The croissants stuffed with custard were delicious though!
Pool was lovely, big and warm with plenty of sun beds.
In the evening, lack of bar staff was noticeable and queues formed for pre dinner drinks.
Large bedrooms but my balcony, though a good size, had a view of roof tops and was noisy from kitchen air vents-very uninspiring. Cleaning good in public areas but my balcony needed sweeping and clothes rail needed lowering.
Hotel management could put a lot of this right quite easily.

Just come back from a week in Puglia with Solos. It was my first trip with them and our tour guide Scott went way above and beyond expectation to look after us and make the experience the success it was.
We did have some issues with the hotel which was certainly not Scott’s fault. However he did his best to rectify these wherever possible including swopping rooms with a dissatisfied guest.
He remained kind cheerful funny supportive throughout and proved himself a thoroughly likeable chap who enhanced the holiday experience for us all.

Just back from a Solos holiday in Puglia. Organisation by Solos was excellent as always. The tour leader, Scott was also excellent. He dealt with all problems with calm efficiency and treated all of the group with care and consideration, along with plenty of humour and friendly banter. For me, another lovely holiday with Solos.

Just returned from a fabulous week in Italy on the Solos Puglia’s Hidden Gems tour.
I have been on several holidays with Solos, but this was one of the best, helped in no small part by our wonderful rep Scott.
He was friendly, amusing and well organised. Helped resolve various problems without drama.
The accommodation, the D’Aragona Hotel, was clean and modern, located about 15 minutes walk from the beautiful town of Conversano.
Will definitely book again with Solos, and would be delighted if Scott was our tour leader again. 😀

Just returned from a Solos trip to Puglia. A fantastic trip with a fantastic bunch of people. Our tour leader Scott, was just brilliant. He was caring and considerate to each member of the group as well as having a sense of humour. He took any concerns / issues that we had on board, and dealt with them efficiently. (Including delayed luggage for one person and a lost passport for another!) He made sure we were all where we were meant to be, when we were meant to be, ensuring the trip ran smoothly.
The trip itself, was great, visiting several different towns, exploring quaint little streets and historical places of interest. The Truli houses were amazing (so many of them!) and each town had something different.
This is my second Solos trip and I can’t wait to book the next one.

Just back from my first Solos holiday ‘Puglia Hidden Gems’ our tour guide Scott contributed to the most memorable time. Nothing was too much trouble for him (and there were a few challenges.) He looked after us all with humour, kindness and integrity. Puglia was a wonderful destination and having Scott as our tour leader was the ‘icing on the cake’ I am very much looking forward to my next Solo’s trip.

Scott was a wonderful tour guide: caring, conscientious, funny, and warm. When the group asked for more free time in the towns we visited he passed this on to the local guides. When I nipped into a couple of shops quickly to buy a few souvenirs he waited for me to ensure we did not lose the group. This was my second trip with Solos and I would recommend them to anyone wishing to travel who is without a travel companion. I felt very safe on both trips, and the WhatsApp group is reassuring if you have any issues, it also promotes a sense of community amongst group members. There is no pressure to be sociable if you need some alone time. The only reason I have not given 5 stars is because on my first trip last year (Amalfi coast) the food and hotel were not up to the standard the group hoped for. Having said this, the feedback was taken onboard and the trip has since been altered accordingly. On this holiday to Puglia my only criticisms are: 1) the trip to Brindisi did not add anything to the experience (this was the consensus of the group). I am not sure if we really saw what Brindisi had to offer but it was rushed and many of us felt we would have preferred a full day in Lecce; 2) As someone who is coeliac (gluten free) I was not offered any recommendations about where to eat during our free time, and had to clarify dietary requirements with hotel staff as we ate at the hotel each night. My desserts were often partially inedible as they were frozen and had not been fully defrosted (I’m sure the mimosa sponge would have been lovely if it had not been almost entirely frozen). It’s not a big issue at all but it would have been nice if this had already been clarified with staff and if the meals could be at different places each evening. Overall, a wonderful way to see the world as a solo traveller in a safe group. Thank you.
