Lies, Lies and More Lies
I’m not sure about the other reviews that are on here for this company about whether they are actually clients or not but I am writing a review as a client. My experience with this company has been nothing short of terrible. I hired Skyward Digital for an end to end branding and marketing campaign so they started with creating the branding logos colours etc and then took on the responsibility of the advertising and marketing as well.
Unfortunately, for my business, it was a massive failure. This company made many claims when they were selling me on their services, claims about how they would go about delivering their services which seemed to be innovative to the industry but when it came down to it they actually done none of that and their marketing capabilities were nothing different than what you will have a random ‘business coach’ set up from his mums basement.
I dealt with Leigh the managing director and also Ren and Kristy. Lee is all over LinkedIn with claims about his services in advertising and marketing being highly responsive to the target market and adapting the messaging to ensure that it is getting to your prospects in a high-level way, none of which they actually do once they start their marketing.
Their claims about that is basically just their own advertising hook to get people into very basic level digital marketing which in this case failed miserably.
When I was dealing with Ren through the sales process, he made many claims to me about specific timelines that we would be dealing with and expectations around deliverables. Once they had my money, they basically palmed me off to Kristy and anything that I mentioned to Kristy about what Ren had said to me, she basically just had the complete opposite expectations around time frames and what was going to be delivered.
This created a problem because Ren had basically hung Kristy out to dry saying that she could do a lot of things that she in fact couldn’t do, so when my expectations on Kristy to deliver on those things were put forward she got very angry and defensive about having to actually do what I was told by Ren would happen.
Once the advertising went live and all of the digital assets were in place their ability to follow through on the conversions that they said would come through was a massive flop. Not only did they not deliver on what they said they would with regards to capturing new business or leeds but they also took an extremely long time to get everything set up and running in the first place!
The money that it cost me to get these assets and to have the advertising run was absolutely a complete waste of money but the worst part of all was how long it actually took them to even get started. Once they had my money the confirmed timelines that I had from them in writing basically fell away very quickly and even just to get a website up and running took 400% longer than what they said it would. Oddly their reasoning for all of the constant delays was that they were taking the time to ensure that it was done properly so that the high-level results would be there. All of which never actually happened so considering the timeline and the terrible results it’s hard to imagine how my experience with this company could’ve been worse.
It would’ve been better if they just failed and failed quickly because then I wouldn’t have actually wasted all of that time as well but instead they took a long time to ensure that that they “could do it properly” and as a result it took even longer for me to realise that my money had been completely wasted and that my business needed to resort to something that would actually work.
