The Law Society suggested I contact this company so i spent considerable amount of time composing a detailed e-mail to them. I sent it to the e mail address on their website. The final wording on my e-mail was "Look forward to hearing from you". Seven weeks have since gone by without even the courtesy of an acknowledgement. Little things like this say a lot about a company.

We bought a house through Campions Solicitors as conveyancers in 2018. Everything was handled over the email in a fast and professional manner. We did not need to travel to Nottingham in person.

I was particularly impressed that Campions handled this slightly unusual purchase, which was done under the rarely used "Right to Acquire" Housing Act 1996 (right of tenant to acquire dwelling) rather than the more commonly used "Right to Buy". Some other conveyancers wanted to charge extra for this service, even though it is a simple legislation, and the process is identical to "Right to Buy", i.e. there is no requirement to pay a deposit.

All the snagging issues were resolved speedily (i.e. the government abolished the property purchase tax for the first time buyers in the middle of the conveyancing process, requiring Campions to recalculate the financial figures), and they didn't charge me extra.
