Always a nightmare to communicate with this company. I wish they provided names with claims so whoever they are can be accountable for their time wasting replies.

They will do everything they can to avoid paying out the full amount. They will pay as little as possible and find any reason to avoid paying. Terrible experience and company. Avoid at all costs.

Don’t waste your time
Paid for $500 worth of insurance. My package was lost, once it was found it was soaked with water. Ruined 30 items and now they are saying they cannot replace it. Why did I pay for insurance if it’s not actually covering anything? 10/10 WOULD NOT recommend and will never be back.

Shipsurance corrected their mistake!
Shipsurance called me and explained that one of their associates was not trained properly and made good on the insurance so I am satisfied with the resolution and no longer think they’re a bunch of crooks I will continue to use them
Sold an item for $200, $50 of which was insured through the carrier USPS so I bought $150 worth of insurance through Shipsurance. When the item was lost USPS paid their $50 but Shipsurance will only pay $100 since USPS paid the first $50. Why would I pay Shipsurance for insurance I know another company is going to pay? Crooks! BAD company!

Scam "Insurance" Company
An absolutely terrible claims process has revealed this to be a scam "insurance" company. They have hundreds of customers that probably don't realize that if your company logo is on your packaging, they aren't insuring your shipment. This might not come to light until you file a claim and they show you the fine print. Out of a three box shipment from the USA to Germany, one made it to the customer, one got returned, and one was lost. With zero investigation they assumed the lost package was stolen because we have our logo on the box and only paid us half of the value. We have subsequently decided to take our business elsewhere.

Peace of mind
The USPS had damaged an expensive antique shipped to one of our customers. I'm very grateful that we had insured the package with Shipsurance. Very low cost rates, easy claim process and reimbursement was quick! I would definitely recommend them when shipping!

So much better than rely on usps insurance, which is absolutely horrible. The entire process was quick and easy and they deposited directly to my PayPal. I insure all my packages with shipsurance.

Fast, secure, and easy, but you must have recipient sign an affidavit, or fill out online form as well.
I was very pleased with the speed and ease of processing my portion of the claim. I really hate that I had to bother my client for them to do an affidavit or online form. This client was willing to do it, but the only other time I've needed to file a claim, that client would not have been. Reaching out to an angry client, and letting them determine whether I get reimbursed or not seems risky to me, and makes me consider how I will proceed in the future.
For this particular client, she was happy to help, and the claims process was speedy. I eventually was also reimbursed for my shipping, that I had included in my original insurance coverage amount.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY ITS A SCAM THEY MAKE YOU PAY PREMIUMS AND THEN WHEN YOU NEED FOR A CLAIM TO BE PROCESSED THEY ASK FOR A LOT OF USELESS DOCUMENTATION ONLY TO SEND YOU A LETTER THAT YOUR CLAIM WAS DENIED AWFUL COMPANY.

Do not bother buying this through…
Do not bother buying this through Shipping Easy, they don't follow their own policies and create all these excuses, 40 days past on two claims and they refuse to refund. Also don't believe these so called "positive reviews" likely fabricated.
News flash you have a low review rating so it’s not just me complaining, some of these reviews are identical to my experience. I talked to your rep and she has neither had a manager call me like I asked and has yet to show me where is writing and that has my agreeing to this “new requirement”. Looks like a civil court filing and a judge making you refund me is how it’s going to go.

Purchased a label through pirateship and paid the extra insurance with ship insurance they have literally dragged this out for months and have yet to pay me out after ups completed there investigations

DO NOT USE!!
Completely ridiculous. They denied claim, saying the packing tape "alludes to the contents of the box" Really? We have a 3 letter company name, like ABC or RHW, no pictures of the product on the box, no words about automotive or racing parts. And this rule is specifically about things that tempt thieves, however the box was not stolen, it was smashed up by UPS, and still shipsurance denies our claim! Utter garbage.
