I ran into a damaged shipment problem using a UPS service to a Antique Radio client. Filing a damage claim was realtively painless on Secursus' system and Marie from the company helped me with the claim along the way. While we had to wait for UPS to render a verdict on the claim first, which took two months, once the UPS portion was settled, Secursus sent the balance to me the next day!! I will continue to use them for all my high value collectible shipping insurance. First rate outfit!!

Bei Verlust müsste ich Neuware kaufen, was dann für mich den Versicherungswert darstellt.
....nach lesen der Bedingungen, (ist eine Versicherung grundsätzlich möglich) und nach mehrfacher schriftlicher Kommunikation mit der Account & Claims Managerin.., "keine Versicherung möglich".
Warum nicht..., wurde nicht erklärt.

Nous utilisons les services d'assurance de Secursus depuis plusieurs années pour les envois d'objets de collection. Notre colis (chronopost à destination d'Europe de l'Est) est arrivé à destination avec 1 des 3 objets qu'il contenait, cassé et non réparable sans le dénaturer (objet original du XIXème), c'est rare pour nous (2 fois en 6 ans, mais cela arrive parfois malheureusement). En respectant toute la procédure (photos - déclaration etc...), notre dossier a été traité et remboursé en 24 H par Secursus !!!! Des conseils et une communication irréprochables, une très forte réactivité, Secursus est vraiment une société très sérieuse et totalement digne de confiance. Nous recommandons à 100 %. Merci encore. Highly recommended insurance service
I recently booked a shipment of expensive model railway equipment from Ireland to Netherlands with GLS. I packed the items in accordance with recommended packing advice. After booking the shipment I insured the parcel with Secursus. The process was straight forward. Unfortunately despite following packing recommendations the receiver notified me that some of the items were damaged in transit. The box showed signs of rough handling. I had photographed the items before packing, during packing and also photographed the sealed parcel before collection by GLS. I made a claim against GLS who denied my claim despite the evidence. I subsequently made a claim to Secursus. Their response was quick and their advice was clear and concise. After submitting all of the required documentation my claim was quickly settled in full. I would like to commend the account manager who looked after my claim for the efficient and professional way that they dealt with my case.
Had to file my first claim after using Secursus for a couple of years
Have been using this to insure packages of various value for a couple of years now. Just last week I had to file my first claim for a package which Royal Mail had lost. I had to upload a ton of documentation, so make sure you photograph everything related to the package. After I had sent it all it took some 4-ish days and I just got the full insured amount back.
So in other words, it worked flawlessly and just as intended, my case support officer explained what I needed to document and why, and was very helpful the whole way. The automatic noreply email informing me that my claim was successful asked me to leave a review so that's what I am doing now.
Would wholeheartedly recommend Secursus, the insurance costs are decent and now confirmed much better than Royal mail and such.

Secursus provided me excellent service and lightning quick claims processing.
During shipping of a vintage guitar insured with Secursus it arrived with moderate damage. There box was clearly handled roughly by the carrier, and the fretboard glue gave way and it started to separate from the neck from the nut down 3 or 4 frets.
It was easy to provide the relevant documentation through the Secursus web portal, and after a few clarifications in the chat the claim was approved and the money arrived the same day. Total time from claim to payment was 5 days.
Honestly, that's amazing in this day and age of haggling with insurance companies. I will use Secursus for all my shipping insurance needs from now on. Easy peasy.

Check all the requirements for making a claim before you buy…
They don’t clearly tell you the requirements for making a claim before you pay. It is important to know that as you won’t be able to make a claim without for example the delivery labels (I had the courier print them but wouldn’t off if I'd known), images of all the items in the original packaging etc etc.
It would be so easy for them to list those requirements before taking payment but they choose not to

Dear Secursus team. We have to leave a review about their insurance company here because we want to do. And this is a thoroughly positive review. Cause: We sold a coffee machine. This was sent with a shipping service provider. However, the protection in the event of damage was only given with a maximum of 750 €. Since the coffee machine had a new value of almost 3000 €, we were looking for additional insurance and found it at Secursus. The insurance we took out, which we took out after registration and payment by credit card, should soon prove to be spot on.
Secursus has transparently pointed out that they impose certain conditions before settling claims. These are, for example, proper packaging. Invisible inscriptions on the packaging, which indicates the value of the contents. Documentation of the goods before and during packaging by means of photos or videos and a delivery at a secure collection point. These are demands that seem reasonable and are also easy to provide. When the parcel was handed in, this was also documented and recorded.
At the buyer's doorstep, however, the coffee machine actually arrived slightly defective. Fortunately, only on the outer panelling. This was obviously pushed inwards by a strong lateral impact, damaged the outer lining of the machine, but then (since the cardboard was additionally reinforced) almost jumped back into the starting position. As a result, the buyer did not immediately recognize the obvious damage and unpacked the package. Only then did he discover the damage. Before the transport service provider was contacted, we obtained a cost estimate for a replacement side panel. This offer was then sent to the transport service provider with the claim for damages. However, he refused to settle the claim because he did not see any fault on the part of himself or an employee.
Regulatory process: As a result, Secursus was contacted and the damage was described. After submission (upload of documents) there was a chat history that was short, concise, factual, but absolutely friendly. Since, in addition to theft or loss, Secursus can also cause damage
insured and the course of the damage was plausible and comprehensible, a short time later the promise was made that the damage would be paid in the amount of the spare parts procurement. A little later, the refund was also booked in the account. We can only advise anyone who needs or wants to ship goods of not inconsiderable value to deal with this insurance. For us, Secursus is absolutely trustworthy and reliable and keeps its promises. The only small problem that could possibly arise for only German-speaking customers is the communication in English. But with the very good translation programs on the net, this is not really a problem.

Very good service, excellent for shipping international items when Royal Mail can only insure up to £250. I have insured many parcels with them but had to claim twice now after Royal Mail lost them Secursus settled the claim both times. Very friendly communication & they always reply very quickly. Please make sure you read all the terms & conditions before sending an item because it is very important that you follow them if you need to make a claim. If unsure ask them & they will give you the advice. Would definitely recommend.
