Made two orders, one for free perennial plant, the other for 3x perennial plants, as yet nothing has arrived.This is a problem frequently occurring with this company.

This place seems like a scam. My business has a similar name and we keep getting upset people emailing and contacting us about secret gardening clubs poor quality, lack of comunication and just not delivering. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. go to a garden centre and buy local. There is no way to get in touch with these scammers.

I've bought from the Secret Gardening Club in the past, and found their plants to be well packed and of good quality. So I ordered a couple of mystery herb plant boxes and a selection of other plants suitable for shade - hostas and some Alchemilla mollis while taking advantage of a BOGOF mystery plant box deal. Well, the herb mystery boxes contained mint, mint, mint, mint, mint, mint, borage, bronze fennel and rosemary. I think the mystery is why anyone would want so much mint, or why anyone would want to plant borage (toxic to dogs) in their garden just to throw a flower into a salad. It very quickly can take over. If it was sold as a tea bundle then maybe I could see the point - but as a selection of kitchen herbs I'd stay well clear. Clearly it is my own fault for buying a mystery box - but I did think it would contain a greater range of herbs that it wasn't such a silly gamble. How wrong I was. Given that the hostas were also so tightly package that the packing straps cut through the leaves and broke off stems and the alchemilla mollis looks like it will be luck to survive the week I think it is highly likely that this will be the last purchase I make from the company. With its prices spirilling upwards there are other online nurseries with better plants, far superior delivery times (this took over 1 month to arrive from purchase) and competitive prices. I made the mistake in trusting a company that I'd bought from before thinking they'd have the end consumer in mind. I realise lots of people will find it a mystery that I did it. Buyers beware (unless you like mint).

I ordered 12 perennial plants as 50% reduction. When plants arrived, although well packaged, I was shocked to find they are very immature, some only 1" tall which will, if any chance of survival which I very much doubt, will have to be potted on a couple of times when the label states that they are. ready for planting. I would rather have had 6 plants sufficiently mature for planting at the full price. I have emailed them twice but both emails have been ignored. Unless they do something to restore my faith in them, I will not buy anything else as a waste of money. I am retired and do not drive so have to rely on mail order. Had the size and photographs been made available of what I was to receive, I would not have placed my order. Very disappointed

Problem with my order, as an incorrect address magically appeared on the Shop Pay account. The club contacted me to let me know, offered a full refund, as not all my choices were still in stock, and were very helpful. I took the gift voucher, ordered more plants, and they are being shipped as a priority. Excellent customer service!

Negative experience unfortunately.
First time using this company.
Ordering was fast and simple, frequent email update and reasonable delivery but when plant arrived it was snapped in half and completely exposed roots out of the pot with soil all over the box.
Zero protective packaging and label for "Keep this way up" put on horizontally instead of vertically.

Edit: Shop responded immediately with a replacement order and sincere apology so increasing from 1* - 4* for their efforts to rectify the situation

Having read the reviews I was a little nervous as I place my order over one month ago. But to be fair they finally arrived and they were perfectly packaged nice strong plants no loose compost. So well done Secret Gardening Club, you just need to be a little bit quicker on your delivery dates.

As other people have mentioned, I ordered some.plants 50% off and all of them were damaged ,pots and labels were just in the bottom. It's amazing the email I received basically said we will speak to the courier and let me know if they plants survive. Wow that is amazing customer service or am I being sarcastic.

I've been reading the reviews and shocked that they still not delivering as promised. I bought plants last year and they never turned up. They gave me a voucher code and it didnt work. I wouldnt buy anything from them.

Recent order not arrived inspite of repeated emails. I had the same issue previously but thought I give this company the benefit of the doubt but the same issue with non delivery of my order. They need to improve parcel tracking and customer service.

Update 27/3/24 - Received and email advising that the plants (which ones I don't know) will be delivered by the end of March. No tracking, no sign of them. Have emailed them again today to chase. If they don't appear, I will be seeking a refund with my credit card company as I have the evidence of emails and the subsequent lack of plants!

Ordered £95 worth of plants at the start of Feb. No communication that they were out for delivery. Now received a small portion of the plants and missing loads more but parcel only states delivery is the single parcel received. Packing list included shows all other plants ticked and one to be refunded. Have emailed them, no response and no phone number to speak to them. No tracking details on the app provided. So I have 4 hostas for £96. Not good. Shame really as I've ordered from them in the past and they were great. Really poor now though.

What a shambles. I should have read the reviews before I fell for the gimmick. I do understand HOW they work, however, the information on the page with the dispatching information kept changing. My order was placed on January 24, 2024 and my dispatch date kept creeping further towards march. I emailed 3 times and a snotty Rebecca rudely tells me my order will dispatch at the end of February. Today its the last day of February and no email to inform me of the shipment. So, I contacted Rebecca again and ask for a refund. The response was cold and rude and no apology. "Good Evening Mrs Jones,

As advised, your pre-order was due to be dispatched by the end of February.

However, as requested, your order has been cancelled and a refund has been issued.

Notice the email was GOOD EVENING. When was my order going to be dispatched?

No wonder this company has 2 stars. I wonder if they really care since I read all the way back to 2021 and no one has bothered to reply to their customer's remarks.

EDIT MARCH 26 , 2024 I just had to edit this because to be honest, this is beyond believe. Order placed January 24, order cancelled February 28th and I got the refund. Today, a large parcel arrives with LIVE PLANTS. Two months late. If I hadn't of gotten a refund, I would be angry. BTW, plants arrived in excellent condition.

Secret Gardening Club quotes 2-4 days for logs delivery. I ordered on 29 December and still have no logs. They do not reply with accurate information- if at all - whether email or direct message on website. I will never use them again!

AVOID
Poor quality plants delivered - only one has survived. They advised that one plant was not delivered as was not up to their usual quality and would be refunded. Four months later we are still waiting for the refund.

Avoid. Delivered almost dead plants, wet rotting bulbs in a burst box. With plants missing a month late. Asked for missing plants to be refunded. Promised and has still not arrived. All the plants that did arrived then died. Refund promised again many, many times. Still waiting. Ordered sept. Delivered oct. Now 20th of December and still being promised a refund. Avoid them. It’s a scam.

I have made several orders with this company over the last few years and everything was great until this year.

I ordered some plants in july that didn't arrive. I got in touch via the website and after a long wait (over a week), I eventually had a reply which conveniently told me they were out for delivery that day.

Thinking that was just a blip (as my previous experiences were great), I decided to order again in September. It's now December and I still don't have my plants. I've sent multiple messages and emails and had no response. One of my emails bounced back so it looks like they have changed the contact email address. I will not be ordering from them again and would advise others to steer clear.

In September 2023, I placed an order with this company for a large amount of bulbs. When my order arrived, I noted that 60 bulbs were missing from the order. When I contacted the company they said they were no longer stocking these missing bulbs (despite the fact that I had been charged for them). They assured me that I would receive an immediate refund to my credit card for the missing bulbs. It is now 12th December 2023 and I have still not received the refund despite close to 20 emails that have gone back and forth. Each time I receive a reply, I am told that the money will be sent that day. It is now 3 months and still no refund.
I'm sure that this company hope that people will simply give up and move on. As far as I'm concerned this is theft and this company should not continue to get away with stealing money from unsuspecting customers.
I have every intention of taking this matter to a small claims court early in 2024.

STEALING YOUR MONEY

I bought one stupid thing on 17 November at 9.99$ and I never received my order and no any information about that and on December 5 I saw that they charged me as a GOLDEN CUSTOMER for 43 Euros. It is a basic way of stealing our money !!!!! I think they have more than 1000 victims because they put ads on Instagram with very small price products so you can buy it and than they start to steal your money for each 2 weeks. Please complain them to police office if you are living in the UK because I will. And i know the people will read here they are already victims of them....

I ordered and paid for Bulbs on the 27th October . Was advised delivery would be start of November . No further communication and no Bulbs
Have used before but not anymore
Looking for a refund.
