The gentleman who helped in the store was amazing as my mum as dementia he was so patient and helpful

I didn't realise I had been charged £400 more than the price labels on the furniture I ordered until I got home. I was charged £50 more for exactly the same chair as I requested a different colour to the one on display. Why? I was charged £50 for a cleaning kit I didn't want and £200 for the warranty and health visit.
If the extra £400 was made clearer at the time of sale, I would probably not have made the purchase. The salesman claimed he mentioned there would be an 'extra charge' but no amount of money was ever mentioned. I feel that he deliberately disguised the extra costs.

We visited the Doncaster store to look for 2 chairs. We were helped by Beverley.
We looked around other stores, then went back to Poltronesofa 3 days later to place our order. We again dealt with Beverley who was very helpful and helped us with our order.

We walked in and unlike other showrooms we were not harassed every two minutes. I am not saying the staff in particular James did not impart any relevant information but it made a change for us not to feel pressured.

It took 16 weeks from ordering to delivery. I was kept informed re delivery times and the team arrived as scheduled. The 2 men put the 2 sofas together , no mess. One big negative. The sofas, which are a velvet type finish , have several marks in the fabric. I questioned this - as the sofas were by no means cheap - and was told that it was due to how they were packed and that the marks “settle “. I believe photographs were taken and I took some myself in case the problem persists.

Kept me informed about delivery time. Turned up when they said. Quick and efficient installation. Checked everything was working and went over how everything worked. Placed sofa where I wanted it. Took all packaging away.

Staff were extremely friendly especially Dean at the Doncaster store. Another member of staff fetch us coffees. Dean was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions.

James at Doncaster was very knowledgeable, polite and helpful. He went above and beyond to ensure we were happy.

Although the sofa itself is fantastic i was very dissappointed in the delivery. I was informed on purchase the delivery would be no later than 7pm and was given a delivery slot between 4:25 and 4:50. Having left work early the delivery was delayed multiple times i was stuck waiting for the delivery for 4 over hours in a completely empty house. For it to finally arrive at 8:30pm. Care kit was delivered leaking through the packaging and rubbish was left on my driveway for me to clear up. Given i payed £129 for delivery i am very disappointed as i did not recieve the service i payed for.
