My father passed away in July, and with redirection of mail, the number of catalogs and charity mail has gradually diminished, apart from this awful company and their many trading aliases.

Terrible customer services
No customer services, don't reply to emails (3 times), don't tell you when something ordered has been delayed, then unilaterally take action about that order without consulting the customer.
Total lack of customer service
Total lack of customer service, worst I’ve ever experienced. No response to emails, phone calls unanswered. Eventually spoke to someone who promised to resolve the issue, but still not resolved (from a purchase in August and regular emails/phone calls since then). Really shocked that they really don’t care about all the negative reviews they’re getting (on Google as well as here). Appalling and deeply disappointing.
Awful customer service
Scotts of Stow used to have a really good reputation, the middle class posh place to go! What a mess this company is. I received an item that was damaged and had to return, phoned customer services and they arranged a return (that took a week) then another fortnight to send a replacement, which is also dented. When I called them again about this they said "oh sorry to hear" but offered no resolution. I have also been waiting 8 weeks for a delivery of a chair. When you call customer services you get through to the warehouse, so anyone passing the phone seems to answer and often they are very rude. The company also does not respond to any emails when I asked why I was told "That happens in Swindon not here" what a joke. Please sort yourselves out.
Atrocious customer service
Atrocious customer service. A wicker style garden set arrived damaged. Rang and reported it immediately and a return then replacement was booked. But the courier never came. Reported it by phone a further THREE times, return agreed each time and nothing happened. Final report and complaint by email went unanswered. Absolutely useless.
Scotts of Stow
First, I have no particular problem with Scott’s of Stow.
HOWEVER I do have a problem with their courier of choice, which is Evri.
I ordered some slippers which were flagged up as arriving imminently. Scotts emailed me to say they were with Evri and Evri emailed me to say they had them. From there on, it’s been a nightmare.
Despite Evri sending repeat messages that they are in the van and about to be delivered, nothing. This has now gone on for three days. I tried contacting both Evri, who simply ignored me and Scotts, who have told me, at this late stage, that under their contract with Evri, they have to give them five working days before they can do anything. With the weekend, this actually means a week.
Considering there was a hefty charge added for p&p I think this is unacceptable.
To be honest, I’d like simply to cancel the order and get a refund as I’m so fed up with all this chasing, and it’s left a very negative slant on both my intended purchase and the supplier.
My advice? Always check on
which courier is used by a company. That’s what I’ll be doing in the future and will proceed or not depending on the reply.

Very disappointed in the Somerville duvet set. Very poor quality, and looked much nicer in the catalogue

I never received my item
I never received my item, then I get an email saying my return has been accepted and I will be refunded. Annoying as I never even got it, never mind return it!!

Paid for my rug2 weeks ago and my card has been charged but no sign of my goods. Sent an enquiry asking for a despatch date and they haven’t bothered responding. Sadly I won’t be using them again and will be telling my friends not to both either!
Zero customer service
Bought a Winchcombe kitchen cart in July to go into a kitchen that was being re-fitted. When the cart was assembled, it looked great. As soon as we started using it, and filled the wine rack, the centre divider parted from the top, causing the base to sag in the middle leading to the doors and drawer not opening and closing without force. I've had to put a piece of wood on the floor under the centre of the base to support it and stop it bowing, but now the trolley cannot be moved. It is not fit for purpose. I have contacted the company several times by email over the last few weeks with no reply. There is no customer service at all - so beware.
Update - tried calling them today, there is a message saying they are so busy that they have had to reduce the number of people in customer service and there will be a long wait, so email them if you don't want to wait!!! It then gives you 3 options, I pressed one, and the line went dead. Useless.
Appalling Customer Service
Appalling Customer Service.After making and paying for an order, after 2 weeks it had not arrived.
Two unanswered messages and two phone calls giving false information relating to delivery.
Third email cancelling the order after 30 days also went unanswered.
Finally, a third call resulted in a refund 35 days from the order date.
Why ? when they clearly could not source the product.
Order paid for but always out of stock!
I made a purchase and was told it was in stock and would arrive in 5-10 days. 10 days later I phoned, item apparently is not in stock but stock was due the next day. A few days later I phoned again, only to be told it was not in stock. The stock that came in was for backorders, so I left it for a few more days having been told it would be back in stock. So on my third phone call, yet again been lied to, I cancelled the order asking for my money back, which was duly done. Why the lies all the time. Be honest!!!
Terrible ServiceI…
This is the worst customer service I have ever received. My order was confirmed and my card charged over a week ago. Evri advised they would be delivering it. Then Today I received an email “Hi your order has been cancelled “. - no apologies, explanation or indication that a refund has been made.
A bit late
Thank you for the notification today that my awning is on the way. It has been here since Friday 16th Aug. It would have been helpful to know it was about to be delivered as I could have caught the driver before he scarpered leaving it leaning on the guttering. Two more steps and it could have been left securely behind the garden gate!
Dreadful customer service on this occasion
Where do I start, it would be a zero if I could do that. I placed an order for a 5 in 1 music centre in February- after numerous delays at the manufacturer and calls to Scott’s of Stow, my order was cancelled on 5 August….I have been more than patient sending chaser emails but today a phone call and was told that whilst the order was cancelled, the colleague failed to process my refund I am assured it will be processed today. I would like to think so but….Let’s see.
I have purchased a number of things in the past with no problems at all, sadly on this occasion Scotts of Stow’s customer service has been dreadful, hopefully just a blip and they’ll learn from it.

I have just gotten a refund from Scott's as they after 6 weeks have now informed me that they cannot replace the table that was delivered damaged to go with the chairs that I purchased. I spent £800 on four chairs so obviously want the table to match. I have now ordered table from another company which is now costing me an extra £200 on top of my refund!! Therefore I would like to thank Scott's for costing me an extra £200, weeks without a matching table and supposedly a phone call from a manager at head office which has never happened. Appalling customer service from a very established company. Will never use them again
