Very good value for money. The purchasing process was easy and scooter was delivered next day.

The scooter,which mine is 50cc Panther, is a joy to ride. Fast from the lights, good fuel economy and a smooth ride.

Love my scooter! Having been a frequent user of Uber for the last year, I decided to invest in my own transport.

The ninja scooter is so good. Was easy to get it out of the box and ready to ride.

It's very quick at the lights ) and handles very well. I get around 200 miles a full up which isn't bad at all considering it only costs £10 to fill up.

If you thinking about buying a scooter this is the place to buy.

Buying a Direct Bikes scooter was one of the worst financial decisions I have ever made. If I could go back in time I would buy a second hand branded scooter. Instead, due to necessity, expedience and naivite, I bought a 125cc Direct Bikes Python around November 2022. This review is an honest opinion from a very dissatisfied customer and I am able to provide evidence for every claim that I make.

First, you are required to use parts only from approved suppliers. Which is well enough. However, what they do not tell you on the contract is that some of these parts cost 10 x the average price for parts in the UK. In my opinion that is information that should be included along with the contract. For example: DB wanted to charge me £129.41 for a set of brake pads. The average price of front brake pads in £12-£17. Rear brakes, £23-£27.

Had I known the price for ordering approved parts was so high, I would not have not purchased the vehicle. Furthermore, when you go for a cheaper option that is available, even from the "Approved Service Centre", as you do when you cannot afford to order it directly from DB, they void your warranty.

Speaking of approved suppliers; the belt that came as standard with the bike lasted one month before shredding. So much for approved suppliers. Even the brand new engine lasted less than a year before needing to be replaced. That's 7k miles! And this is a vehicle that was serviced regularly and well maintained - in my opinion - despite what DB claims. In terms of quality, I simply cannot understand how a vehicle of such low quality can be road-legal in the UK. My honest opinion. It appears to be made from the cheapest materials available and some of the parts seemed to be acquired from different vehicles; they simply did not fit. Specifically the plastic protective case around the ignition and some of the plastic coverings. Yes, it is affordable. But even then, certain standards have to be met, surely.

I urge you not to make the same mistake I made. For £2k you can buy a much better second hand vehicle, which is what I would recomend. In my honest opinion, Direct Bikes is an absulte scam and should be put out of business for the shoddiness of their work. But that's just me.

- 20/10/23 Update: I have now updated my original statement as a result of a Letter of Claim I have received from Direct Bikes demanding that I delete my review within 24 hours or they will take legal action against me. Accordingly, I have now added some extra details that were omitted from my original review. So another bit of advice for you potention future customers: if you are dissatisfied with your product make sure that you keep it to yourself, unless you can afford legal representation for every frivolous law suit they will throw at you.

I bought a Direct Bikes bike a few weeks ago and have tried and tried to email looking for a part (3 emails ) and they just ignore them. Seems it’s all about sales and no customer service. It’s now a well over a week and no answer from them ?? Good news , Direct Bikes have got in contact and given me some emails too tryb

Excellent scooter for my son. This is now our second scooter from them and the first one is still doing us proud.

Delivery was helpful and found us easily even when our location is hard to find. Kept us updated and time slot was perfect.

Ordered a scooter on Wednesday for delivery to Luton. Staff were very friendly and helped with my selection. They said it would take three days to arrive but came a day early on Friday.

Delighted with my scooter, it's very fast, great service and turnaround would recommend them.

We purchased my son a ninja 50 but it broke down twice with the same fault within a 100miles. A small plastic part on the fuel system, when it could really do with being metal. Customer service is only via email and inconsistent. Apparently you do not have a right to a refund if you register the bike with DVLA as you are legally supposed to do for road use.
In my opinion you are better off spending a couple more hundred pounds on a brand name scooter. These bikes are cheaper but the reason why is evident once you have used them for short while.

Further more to your reply: the part broke of its own accord , twice in exactly the same place! It is under the seat and cannot be got at without taking off it off. Had the fuel ran on to the hot exhaust who knows what could have happened.
Providing a replacement part is not being generous when you have paid for a warranty.
You may have called us with a withheld number but there is no number to contact you directly as it is just an automated information message giving out an email address - ring the number and try for yourselves!
The 4 so called approved centres from the list you gave me said they do not deal with your bikes. Another untruth!
Throwing mud back is very unprofessional and unfounded, but then after dealing with your so called company I am not surprised.

Very impressive scooter. It arrived in a big box. Took 10 minutes to set up. Spend around £12 to fill up. The scooter itself is very sturdy and nippy on the roads. It came with a top box which i havent put in yet. Overall a very good buy. Thank you.

They went the extra mile to help. I am only in my house from 10sm to 12pm due to work commitments. The delivery came exactly when they said . Excellent customer service. my panther scooter is better than the photos on their website and is lovely.

They rang me back, they were a big help.
