I had an amazing experience at SCCD Training.
The lectures are very informative and all the staff goes above and beyond to help everyone.
I loved doing my training with them and would definitely recommend everyone to train to become a teacher with them.

Great teachers, the people there were very helpful and I’m glad I went through this experience.

This is a good training centre. I have learned many things .My experience was good .I highly recommend this training centre to every one . I m feeling very confident and positive . I hope for the best and I feel I will succeed in my career.

I recently attended my first placement day as a teacher assistant in a primary school, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. From start to finish, everything went smoothly, and I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the educational environment.

The school staff were welcoming and supportive, making me feel comfortable right from the beginning. The orientation provided a clear understanding of my responsibilities, and I appreciate the effort the team put into ensuring a seamless onboarding process.

Throughout the day, I had the chance to observe and actively participate in various classroom activities. The teacher I was assisting was not only knowledgeable but also encouraging, allowing me to gain valuable insights into effective teaching methods.

I was particularly impressed by the positive and inclusive atmosphere within the school. The students were engaged, and the overall learning environment was conducive to their growth and development.

Overall, my first placement day was a positive and enriching experience. I am eager to continue my journey as a teacher assistant and look forward to further opportunities for hands-on learning. Kudos to the school and the course for providing such a well-organized and supportive placement experience.

The building is spotlessly clean, with gleaming floors and walls that reflect the natural light pouring in from the large windows. What made my experience great at Lea Valley Primary school is how welcoming the member of staff are. Every single of member of staff that I have encountered today was so approachable and helpful. The teachers there are patient and genuienly care about including all children in participating in activities. Overall great school.

SCCD TRAINING COURSE HAD HELP TO REACH WHERE I AM TODAY INTO MY CAREER. I have to say a massive thanks to Paulina the lecture because all the teaching and learning I had qualified and today I am a TEACHING ASSISTANT in primary and secondary school. After qualified and got my qualifications from SCCD training course, that didn’t stop me their but needed made me had more hope and now I am doing level 5 teaching course to qualified to become a teacher and again the course is going amazing , I am enjoying every minute of it

The Diploma level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning is very complete. It does provide a deep understanding of what becoming a teaching assistant means. My assessor was incredible. She laid out the assignments in a very clear way. She was available to answer all my question. Her feedback was constructive and motivated me to complete my course.

Had an amazing time and experience with SCCD learning as well as becoming a teaching assistant. The course was a bit difficult as it started during the COVID period and die to personal situation however my lecture Paulina and the other internal staff members were extremely helpful and supportive.

My placement went really well and the school I did it with were super with completing my placement documents.

Would definitely recommend if your thinking about teaching assistant or working with SEN students.

My SCCD journey started since I got pregnant with my second child. Dealing with a complicated pregnancy while managing a toddler at home made me so exhausted that I often thought of quitting. Luckily, I have had the best lecturer who never hesitated to extend support and always encouraged me to move ahead. With special support sessions and continuous support from her I am now able to make to placement phase of my training. I cannot believe myself that with all those difficulties in my life I am soon going to complete my course. This has been an amazing journey of my life that I will always remember.

My experience studying with SCCD to date, has been rewarding, great and like an unforgettable journey that resonates enthusiasm and resilience for me on a daily basis.

The lecturers are competent and they explain all concepts very well and clearly, and it is alright for me to say boldly that the Diploma in Education and Training Level 5 course that I studied, though challenging, is worth every moment.

Not forgetting the time I spent during my internal placement, which for certain is informative and of relevance to my professional development, as I have learnt a lot.

Thank you for a great course, great presentations with lots of opportunities to ask questions and talk about real life examples, and the explanation of theories, which all made for a really enjoyable and informative course.

It has more than met my expectations both personally and professionally and would recommend it to anyone who is seeking a professional career in teaching.

Staff are nice and helpful, especially the lecturers. Whenever I need support or advice, I can get contact with and give feedback from them. Their lessons are well prepared and easy to follow with clear instructions. I am doing my second course with them and I am happy to join other courses with them in future.

I got full support to my study at SCCD Training. They give me a reference details for my job opportunity. My teacher give me a one to one support to understand my assignment. I highly recommended SCCD to everyone .

My experience has been great because I have been able to gain a job through my work placement interview. All thanks to our work placement coordinator, kristina, lecturers both past and present(Mr Paul Calgrove and Ms Shaaira Alexis) and everyone that works in SCCD Training Centre.

It's been a very long journey, finding the right teacher training route to be able to train to become a teacher. SCCD Training centre has made it possible for anyone especially mothers, and those working full time or part-time work that you can become whatever you want to be if you believe you can do it.

I will definitely recommend SCCD Training Centre to anyone that wants to train to become a teacher either in primary school, secondary school, sixth form and any other educational settings .I am very grateful and thankful to every member of staff at SCCD Training Centre and I look forward to completing my course , become fully qualified and continue to make a difference in the community.

Training at SCCD has equipped me with the knowledge and skills needed to become a teacher. I am particularly grateful for the understanding shown by my lecturer, Paul Colgrave and other staff members, who supported as well as encouraged me to forge ahead to achieve my qualification, when I felt like giving up. SCCD Training,
I was NOT informed about the funding rejection, I found out about it a few days ago when I sent you an email to ask if reimbursement of the deposit is possible, I was still enrolled at the time.
Although it might have been a gesture of goodwill to allow me to continue the training at no extra cost, it was still not fair, you did not treat all of us the same.
Regarding my attendance, it was 100% when the course was delivered by Paul Colgrave and the units done with him signed off. My attendance has dropped when you changed the lecturer and that was mainly a combination of factors such as total chaos and disorganization, overall poor and unprofessional behaviour of the new lecturer, not answering any emails, submitting assignments but getting almost no feedback. The assignments for a whole unit (3) were submitted several times and even when the portofolio was submitted for formal assessment, I got it back stating WORK IN PROGRESS and of course, having to pay late fees, but NO MARKING AT ALL! So how do you expect me to start working on other units if I don't get any feedback on the previous one, so I know what I did wrong and what to change ?
So stop saying you encouraged submission of work, when in reality you got all of us extremely frustrated and stressed as we submitted work and you would not mark it and totally ignored any form of communication with us.

Very poor experience. They lie A LOT! This company is not to be trusted and certainly not worth so much money. They are unprofessional and extremely unreliable. They will say all sort of things such as providing free Functional Skills Maths and English (more than 3 times was contacted about it, they even confirmed the start date of the course etc, never happened, so why would you say it in the first place, aren't you worried about seeming so unreliable afterwards?!). I initially paid a deposit (half the price of the course), after 2 months they said I am eligible for funded training. After about 8 months, they changed their mind and said there was actually no funding and that's what they thought it will happen (how can you talk about funds being released and contracts and eligibility for funding etc just so you then breach your agreement AGAIN AND AGAIN). Obviously, they didn't reimburse the deposit, even if the training was free for all the others funded learners, so the fair thing to do is to treat all of us THE SAME). Stating that the course of the training has been borne by SCCD and that I was actually lucky to have paid only half makes no sense and doesn't apply to everyone! Learn to be FAIR AND TRANSPARENT!! It is not our fault that you LIED ABOUT TRAINING BEING FUNDED, to then change your mind! If the other learners didn't pay, and I was ELIGIBLE and part of that group of learners, then you should have reimburse me the money! But it's pointless to even think about you being truthful and fair when there are so many dodgy things going on there, that is the reason I haven't even insisted on this matter!
Other examples of lies, I was given a contract for some sort of internal placement, signed it, again nothing happened. I understand there might be reasons why things get cancelled but for this company that's the norm, that's how they operate, I would be ashamed to behave in such unprofessional way over and over again. THEY HAVE ZERO CREDIBILITY!
One last thing is that you also might be one of those students who get some sort of bullying from one of the lecturers, Shaaira Alexis who I think is very famous already for behaving innapropriately. She ignores A LOT of your emails, is RUDE and helps only a few people, probably personal preferance. I personally have got very very little marking from her in a matter of months, a lot of learners complain not getting any response after sending countless emails, calling, texting etc, no marking being done, only when she is in the mood probably, but that's not how a TEACHER and actually a HEAD OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING should behave. Many learners already know her history (search her name on Google and you will find out she is on the news for being RACIST). There are so many complaints you have received from past learners, YOU KNOW people created groups and they complained to PEARSON and were left traumatised by you! You do not deserve to be on the market because that's not how a teacher training should be, when you teach us about equality, diversity, inclusion but you do a lot of bullying and are acting so so unprofessional! You clearly learnt nothing from past mistakes, it's not all about money, academic achievements and social status, learn how to treat people with more respect first of all.

I applied the knowledge acquired from this course to secure a job as a Tutor with a Local Authority. From the job application through to the interview stage, I demonstrated my understanding of the essential knowledge and skills needed for lesson planning, delivery and assessment. Interestingly, I am halfway through the course but have already secured a job. I am grateful to my tutors and support team, and would highly recommend the course for anyone contemplating going into teaching.

My lecturer was extremely helpful throughout the whole process, and the lessons and knowledge she provided were very insightful. There were a few misunderstandings with the Placement Department but the new supervisor sorted it all out for me in the end.

Every staff is helpful and supportive. Classes are good, good lecture delivering, good support while learning. good environment on-site.
SCCD helped me restart my course after my maternity and I got another chance to fulfil my dreams.
Thanks for all the support I got from here. Would recommend for all learners who wants to be teachers in future.
