If I could give this site 0 stars I would. I am a new company and because I have a website that I needed for a "quiet presence" that has no traffic going to it I have been labelled a scam site. Beware the negative effect this can have on your new business, and because I need anonymity due to being the survivor of sexual abuse I also chose not to divulge my identity other than what is legally required within the UK I also get labelled a scammer. I have yet to have a reply or acknowledgement of receipt to my email I sent on the 30th of October so I feel this site could be a scam, but under section 17 and 21 of the GDPR UK regulations they are penalising my site for using these regulations. Also be aware that this site whilst I have my company number address and all other necessary information on the site I am still labelled a scam, this is damaging my new start up I am looking into the possibility of suing I suggest anyone using this site is getting a tainted look at any new site that you may have that is new and under development, as their algorithm is clearly lacking
. I would say Do not trust what you read on this site at all. Customer service seems to be non existent!

This site is a scam as others have stated and now AI is crawling the lies they put on there site.. Its time to sue them for damages. Do not believe anything you read from Scamadviser it is a SCAM.

Scamadviser is itself a scam site, which earns money from bad reviews and scandal associated from its own negative review scores.

It charges customers and companies money to "(re-)review" (read: improve the reviews by direct analysis which it has originally given a low score to).

This is a great way to earn money, but it is morally unsound and in a very grey area, perhaps fraudulent.

It lists bad reviews for companies based on, amongst other things, false (faked) reviews from its own site and an algorithm which automatically gives a low score to many, particularly smaller organisations

Onze organisatie kreeg een extreem lage score zonder dat er enige controle op feiten heeft plaatsgevonden. Ondanks dat wij bewijs hebben aangeleverd in de vorm van bedrijfsdocumenten, bestelbewijzen en verzendinformatie hebben wij geen inhoudelijke reactie gekregen. Dat gebrek aan respons en het ontbreken van een serieus aanbod tot controle maakt dit zeer problematisch.

Het algoritme lijkt uitsluitend te leunen op ruwe data en verouderde bronnen zonder rekening te houden met context of aantoonbaar bewijs. Resultaat is dat potentiële klanten worden afgeschrikt door cijfers die niets zeggen over de daadwerkelijke betrouwbaarheid van een onderneming. De gevolgen zijn tastbaar en direct. Verloren omzet, verloren klanten en een aangetaste reputatie zijn de directe gevolgen voor ondernemers die al hard werken om vertrouwen op te bouwen.

Als platform met invloed over consumentengedrag draagt ScamAdviser verantwoordelijkheid. Deze verantwoordelijkheid betekent transparantie over de gebruikte methode, snelle toegang tot menselijke herbeoordelingen en duidelijke instructies voor het aanleveren van correct bewijs. Het automatisch publiceren van een score zonder deze garanties is onacceptabel en onprofessioneel.

Wij roepen ScamAdviser op om hun proces onmiddellijk te verbeteren. Totdat zij dit doen moeten consumenten zich realiseren dat dergelijke scores slechts een ruwe indicatie zijn en geen vervanging voor degelijk eigen onderzoek. Controleer altijd meerdere bronnen en vraag direct om bewijs wanneer een site een lage score heeft gekregen.

Tot slot een waarschuwing aan andere ondernemers. Laat je niet intimideren door deze cijfers. Verzamel bewijs, documenteer alle communicatie en eis een serieuze handmatige beoordeling. Als platforms publieke aantijgingen willen publiceren dan moeten zij bereid zijn om verantwoordelijkheid te nemen voor de schade die zij kunnen veroorzaken.

I’ve been working diligently to build a legitimate and trustworthy website that offers valuable content to its visitors. Unfortunately, my website was flagged as a scam by ScamAdviser. As someone who is committed to transparency and integrity, this misrepresentation is quite concerning. I believe that every website deserves a fair and accurate evaluation, especially when it’s new and growing.

I’m hopeful that ScamAdviser will review the information and update their assessment to reflect the truth. In the meantime, I wanted to share my experience and encourage others to consider the full context before making judgments.

Used scamadvisor to check a website authenticity for me. The realised later the website was fake and lost of £1000 in trade funds. It was only until I saw reviews about ScamAdvisor that I realised this is not a trusted company to check websites.

Mass of scammers, they ask money for change the rating. They give fake negative rating to good websites and ask money for remove. Report they to the Police of Netherland. They need to shut down. Owner is from Netherland.

They try to steal money from many companies.

I Love this game

The Scam Advisor website is giving me a low rating, which is, in effect, harming my legitimate business and leaving the incorrect rating attached to my business name in search engines.

It is stating the following reason for the low score:

"The website's owner is hiding his identity on WHOIS using a paid service."

I cannot help this and there are others in the same boat, as my domain registrar (Tucows) now provides or enforces WHOIS privacy by default due to modern privacy laws.

I have emailed them several times explaining the Tucows policy, but they do not respond.
