Quite an oversell to actually get a storage unit, reported to be the cheapest and the best storage provider in the UK.
I beg to differ. They got me to sign a monthly contract which I didn't really want. A weekly would have been fine. However they need two weeks notice when you want to vacate, whatever for I don't know.
Having been co-erced into a monthly contract and paid in advance I was given a fob to enter and store my goods. My plans changes so I ended up leaving after just 10 days. I was told that there would be no refund pro-rata (perhaps they are struggling as a storage company) but there was no debate on the issue.
The storage unit was alright but there were no toilets in the place or even a shower. Just the basics and when enquired was told the hours are 8am to 6pm Mon-Sat, Thurs 8am to 8pm, Sunday 10am to 10pm. So it's not 24/7, not sure why but I think it may be they can't afford the staff.

Excellent service: stress free and professional
Excellent company - I called earlier this morning to enquire about storage space at Crayford and Jason was super helpful. He took time to explain the storage facilities, booking process, and also ran through the amount of storage we’d need for our (in-between) house move. There was also no pushy sales pressure at all, and our storage space is reserved until we want to compete the paperwork and pay once we have a confirmed date. A seamless process and it made my life so much easier when we’re already experiencing the stress of a move! Definitely recommend :)

After DHL inexplicably failed to deliver an expected parcel, I requested DHL to deliver to a local collection point. Turns out the nearest point was Safestore, Crayford, Kent, a few miles away.
When I arranged re-delivery with DHL, there was no mention of requiring a PIN and as I'm not connected to the Internet when mobile, I didn't receive the PIN before I left to collect my parcel (to be fair, DHL had emailed me the PIN after I left home). DHL had instructed me to bring photo ID, which I did.
Long story short, I stared blankly at Safestore staff when they told me I required a PIN to take delivery of my parcel. Following discussions with colleagues, staff found an alternative way for me to collect my parcel without needing the PIN, which wasn't straightforward. These considerate staff members saved me time and additional mileage, in a heavily traffic-congested area, by taking the trouble to legitimately circumvent the usual PIN method by using photo ID instead.
