A Philips TV update went wrong and bricked it. The five year warranty paid out, so why would I buy from anywhere else? Richer Sounds is brilliant.

Dan from the Oxford Road store has been a great help for me every time I have been in contact.

After asking questions outside of store hours, I was called within the hour of opening the next day 2 out of 2 times. Helped me source and deliver stock from another store to my address and gave fantastic and preemptive advice. Awesome stuff!

Clear understanding of what I was looking for in terms of sound, environment and connectivity for a speaker and streaming system. Great to have the enclosed demo experience which helped us fully understand the range of speakers we were initially interested in. And we felt we made our own choices with great consistent advice on any topic or any question. Really commend Matt and James for their patience and professionalism. We really enjoy the new LG OLED and look forward to the Dali Omnicons, Arcam SA35 and Chord cable installation soon. Many thanks all. Will certainly recommend RS Reading.

Helpful staff that listened to what my requirements were and offered me a few different options to try and find the right solution. The product that was recommended is working really well and was very easy to set up.

The Richer Sounds website was easy to navigate to find the correct product for me. Placing the order by phone to the Reading branch was simple and the goods arrived very quickly. All in all a satisfying shopping experience.

Went in with an open mind for a specific requirement. As usual the guys in Reading had several great options, and their advice and personal experience (matching my home setup) was so much more useful than buying over the internet. Ended up buying something I would have never considered, and they sound superb. The specific colour of speakers I wanted weren’t in stock, but they arrived at my house the next morning!

Great as always. I've been a customer of Richer Sounds for many years. I have always purchased my home TV & home cinema products from them. The staff are always very polite and helpful. Their knowledge of the products are exceptional. You can even have a trial experience of home cinema. Nothing is too much trouble and great backup service as well.

Great service from the team at Reading Richer Sounds. Was looking for a new TV and soundbar. Received good advice and price from a very knowlegable team. Equipment delivered next day after placing order. The only slight negative was that they didn't tell me that the quote was only valid for a two or three days.

Having bought from the Richer Sounds for over 20 years it is always the first point of call when reviewing TV & sound projects.
In December 2025, I had a fantastic experience at Richer Sounds Reading while purchasing a new TV and sound system, and I’d like to give special mention to James. From the outset, James was exceptionally helpful — taking the time to guide me through various options and even visiting my home to assess the room and offer practical, honest advice about what would work best.
His customer-focused approach, combined with the store’s price promise, made the whole process smooth and straightforward. He also recommended a reliable installer, which made the setup completely hassle-free.
I’m now in the process of planning another TV and sound system purchase for a separate project, and there’s no doubt I’ll be returning to James and the Reading branch. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care for customers make them a pleasure to deal with.
