Car parking cameras installed not there on my first visit earlier in year after scanning our receipt was scanned i left the store and have since received parking charge notice I sent them a bank debit statement showing purchase online but they ignored it and are aggressively demanding payment pursuing charges .I have since contacted the company with the same prove I am awaiting a response

To 'Reviews' website, a suggestion. To avoid situations like mine where I wanted to review a company but it did not send me a review request (for obvious reasons), provide this option. Provide the option to request a review link via your website and should the company in question deny the request, YOU give the person requesting it the option to provide proof to yourselves they were a client of the company. If proven, YOU then provide that person a link to submit a review. It may help bring the ratings on your website of companies like Rightio, in line with other review websites.

‘Massaged’ reviews and star rating.

Run this search on the internet “can one submit a review in reviews dot co dot uk” (replace the " dot " with ".") and I think you will see how a shady company like Rightio, is able to have a good star rating on reviews . co . uk.

(I personally have had the same experience with Google Reviews where my bad review of a roofing company, “disappeared”. I was not allowed to put it back on and Google froze my account and locked me out after I complained to them, even though I provided all the paper documents and photos as evidence. Rightio did NOT send me a request to review them, so I’m not going to waste my time submitting one without first getting the “verified” request email even then I think it will "disappear" because it will be a bad review. This is why I stick with Trustpilot.)

Background: Rightio came to service our gas boiler on 03-11-2025. The engineer walked in, took the cover off and immediately just by looking at it, said he will condemn the boiler. He did not run any tests and the boiler still looks brand new and runs without any problems. He said he would not condemn the boiler IF I buy a new Gloworm boiler from him and he install it. I call that blackmail! There is a lot more that happened, all bad.

I had a look into how it can be that a company like this, can have a claimed 4.77/4.8 out of 5 star rating from over 2911 reviews on reviews.co.uk, as advertised on their own website, but bad ratings on other review websites. I looked at the reviews they link to on reviews.co.uk and noticed they are still getting 5 star reviews even though it has not been possible for me a customer, to contact them since 04-11-2025. I have only been able to get hold of them today (02-12-2025) when someone answered one of their many phone numbers. That is suspicious to me. FYI. They recognised my phone number because the guy today knew who I was as soon as he answered, I think that is how they were able to block me from getting hold of them.

One gets a different (true and realistic) view of Rightio when you look at their star rating and read reviews on other review websites.

Trustpilot: 3.4 out of 5 however, but read the reviews. Even some of the non 1 or 2 star reviews, complain about the company. I think they mistakenly clicked on a higher star rating.

Only at this time, Rightio used the website and name “plumber . rightio . co . uk”, but it is the same guy on the photo on that website, as is on the add in our local Stockbridge pamphlet.

It turns out that the “excellent” reviews referred to on their add and website, may be false ("massaged") because on other review websites, this company has a lot of very bad reviews.

If websites like reviews . co . uk are enabling rogue traders to delete or suppress bad reviews (and it does seem like it to me and reviews), then they are enabling criminals to operate and get away with it.

PARTYRAMA.... Absolutely awful company!!! I ordered a personalised balloon for my daughters 21st birthday . However DPD delivered it to the wrong address, I called the company and was told that my daughter must not have been home at the time of delivery, and that if she was home she should of had her door already open for the delivery man. I also explained that the address it had been delivered to, her and that person at the address do not get on so collecting it was not an option. She stated that DPD don't just deliver elsewhere apparently. So there was nothing she could do so unhelpful, rude as hell. Very undermining, plus believed they new all the answers and that it was an error on my behalf. I paid just short of £6 for delivery aswell. Never ever will I be ordering from this company again, they seriously need a customer service course!!!

First time using NAC and will not be the last. Needed a quick call out as my gas cooker had stopped working. I was contacted by a very friendly and professional Engineer and visit arranged. The call was excellent, price etc was explained from the beginning and job carried out efficiently and cleanly. Cooker up and working no problem.

The Scars of Eastwood Park: A Survivor's Tale

**Walls do not just keep people in; they bear witness to untold stories of suffering and survival.** Eastwood Park Young Offenders Institute was one such wall that imprisoned tales of horror within its formidable barriers. In the 1970s and early '80s, a demon lurked in its corridors, donned in a guard's uniform. Patrick Devaney was a beast in man's skin, one whose shadow had long haunted the memories of those he tormented.

I was just 15 when I first felt the chill of Eastwood Park's grim halls; a naïve boy sentenced for mischief that paled in insignificance compared to the real crime that took place within those walls. It wasn’t long before Devaney marked me as his prey. The gymnasium, which should have been a place for physical betterment, became an arena of anguish under his watch.

Devaney’s twisted game, ‘murderball’, was more a trial by fire than anything resembling sport. He relished as we were pitted against each other, the scent of fear as intoxicating to him as the abject pain he inflicted. He used his arsenal—a cricket bat baptized as ‘sixer’ and a monstrous 5ft paddle—to inflict wounds far deeper than the bruises and scars he left on our bodies.

The racial abuse he hurled was as venomous as his blows. My cellmate, a boy with skin several shades darker than Devaney's own pallid complexion, bore both the physical and emotional searing of a torturer who saw him as less than human. The camaraderie that should have knitted us inmates together was torn to shreds by Devaney’s sadism—he wanted to see us broken, alone.

It was during one such violent episode that I looked into Devaney’s eyes and saw nothing—the emptiness of a soul that could not be salvaged. But in that void, I also found a will within myself: to not let this man define my existence. I endured, as did Paul, Alan, and Ieuan. We were unacquainted soldiers on a battlefield, not meeting until wounds had turned to scars and the past a shadow at our heels.

A voice trembled as he recounted his encounters with Devaney during his time at Eastwood Park. Alan’s gaze, hollow from the remnants of a youth snatched away by fright and fist. And Ieuan, the youngest amongst us in that reunion of survivors, whose anger seemed a wildfire barely contained. We recognized the storms in each other's eyes—it was the same tempest we had each battled through.

In the cold September of 2023, justice, aged in its coming, finally caught up with Patrick Devaney. The gavel’s fall echoed like the crack of his insidious paddle, only this time, it signaled not pain, but a delayed promise of peace. As the judge rebuked him, the lack of remorse in Devaney's eyes was evidence of a cruelty unchanged by time.

Yet, sitting in the courtroom watching the tyrant of our youth be sentenced, we realized something profound. Devaney was imprisoned by his own failings, his heart a cell he created. For us, liberation came in acknowledging the nightmare we survived. The real tortures we and many others endured in the youth prison of Eastwood Park galvanized an unbreakable resolve.

We may have emerged with wounds, but we stood there that day, forged in a trial by fire, as an undeniable testament to human resilience. The walls of Eastwood Park could no longer confine our stories. We were free; free to heal, free to forgive ourselves, and free to build lives that soared far above the reach of a captor

Patric Devaney former prison officer of HMP Eastwood Park was convicted of misconduct in a public office and sentenced to 3 years imprisonment and he served some of that time at HMP Bristol where he also used to work

Contacted HDS for repair to tv aerial system this morning. Arrived within specified 1 hour. Contacted to inform of their arrival. Engineer introduced himself, hello I'm Curtis. Very pleasant person. Curtis was informed of the problems with the system. Checked all areas. System up and running 100%. Curtis cleaned all areas of dust.

Ticket Master
We brought tickets for a show in London for our anniversary, we were unable to travel due to train strike. We also brought the Ticket Protection Plan for cancellation. I got I touch with ticket master to see if I could change the dates of our tickets. They said I could as long as the tickets were of the same price. We had paid £113.75 each for the tickets. I went back onto the site and found 2 tickets for £109.00 each, there was no tickets at the original price as prices had gone up. I got back in touch with ticket master, informed them of the seats I wanted and told them we weren’t worry about them refunding the difference in price. We just wanted the tickets. They told me that the tickets had to be the same price or more. We were to buy the new tickets and they would refund the original amount. Unsure if they would refund we didn’t buy the tickets. I got in touch with the Ticket Protection Plan we had brought, and the first thing I saw on there site was that they would not refund tickets due to train strikes. We brought the tickets in February how were we to know of any strike action in September. Totally pissed off with them, I will never use ticket master again or buy a ticket protection plan. They have robbed us of £227.00 and ruined our wedding anniversary. I would never recommend them to anyone.
