Retag is my go to portal for selling my luxury items and also I have purchased one limited edition Prada handbag and few vintage handbags as well. The process is smooth and easy.

I had a great experience with Retag. I purchased one tory Burch handbag and one Alexander McQueen clutch, they both were in good condition. They were honest about the condition, as there was a stain mark (which is totally understandable knowing it was pre-loved). I loved both the bags. Highly recommend Retag.

My experience is only about buying from Retag and not selling. My buying experience has not been good.
Altogether, I purchased 2 items from Retag online site. First I bought a bag that was listed as "pristine" but it turned out to be very used and needed repair. Retag said they would not give me a full refund but they would repair it so I sent it back and they repaired and repainted the bag.
The second item I bought was a ring which was listed as "new" and a size 54 on their webpage. Before purchasing, I called them up to confirm it was size 54 and they said Yes. When I got the ring, it was definitely not in new condition and the size was 51. I couldn't wear it (too tight - my size is 54) so I returned it but they would not give me a full refund even though it was clearly their mistake. They took 25% and gave me the rest in Retag credit so I had to use the refund credit to purchase again from Retag after losing 25%.
Using the refund credit, I bought a bag listed as "new without tags." The bag that came to me was in good condition but it was definitely NOT new. Yet, they charged the price of a new bag. The bag had scratches and dirt on the hardware. Also, there were stains on the front of the bag which you can clearly see in sunlight.
My conclusion is I will never purchase from Retag again. It is better to pay a little bit extra and buy brand new from the boutique or buy from another more trusted preloved store.

My experience with Retag was great. Retag being my first pre-loved luxury portal to buy pre-loved products, I must tell you they didn't disappoint me at all. Got some really trendy as well as vintage products from them. Love the whole experience. Would really recommend.

Great experience with Retag. I recently consigned my Chanel Bag over there and within 15 days got the payment credited in my account. The team members are so polite and helpful. Have bought a Burberry shoulder bag to gift to my sister, the product is authentic and got the delivery on time. Plus, their store is so beautiful added with pre-loved luxury products, it’s a must visit store for luxury brand lovers.

I recently consigned my Prada bag with Retag, they were really helpful. Truly happy that my bag got sold with all speed and received the payment within 24hrs. Also got one gucci wallet from them at such a reasonable price 🥰

I have been selling with Retag since the last 4 years and i believe i have just been lucky with my products as everything has gotten sold out within 4 months period that they claim. They pay within 48 hours of sale which is great compared to other portals like Confidential couture who do not pay for months altogether.
i do not agree with the above reviews, just because somebody did not have a good experience, doesnt mean you would not.

I recently visited their store in New Delhi and despite not having an appointment i was attended to and i checked my products were showcased in their stores and i even bought a pair of Gucci Sunglasses.

I am very happy and elated for Choosing Retag.

So i had been buying from Retag off and on for 2 years which helps me give the experiences to truly gauge their business & give a fair assessment and it must be said multiple issues & Red Flags have cropped up in that time.
1. Customer service is quite bad. They seem to act as if anyone who buys 'secondhand' products is deserving of a 'second rate treatment' - which honestly is quite annoying when you spend such large amounts of money. Two ladies that i must mention that need to learn how to manage customers were Shaina & Ayushi.
2. Their 'expert team' is extremely clueless - Product description sometimes is not accurate or not aware of products. Incorrectly labeled Zanotti shoes as G Rossi, Incorrectly labeled LV GM & MM bags or wrong product name, LV men's belt is listed as a woman's belt. Posting the same product YSL tribute shoes twice with different measurements. Listing a long top as a dress. So if their team of experts can all this wrong, then the chances of them getting the authentication right is a big question mark. I thought i had bought a Valentino dress but it was actually Valentino Roma. But they said it was my fault as i had not asked and there were no returns on it. However they had authenticated the Valentino Roma dress as Valentino but that was not the fault of their 'expert team' which is also authenticating the other products listed on their website.
e. Sometimes the condition is a little misleading as they do not highlight any flaws unless you specifically ask them.
3. Not transparent on layaway timelines and in case you do not ask them, it is the customers fault.
4. They are the only ones across preowned reselling sites that charge INR 500 for shipping and it is not even express shipping.

I have had some decent experiences with them as well but given my latest experience which is a recurring theme with them - they always blame the customer. It is never their fault even if they sell a Valentino Roma dress as a Valentino dress. Even if they don't know the difference between FR 36 and waist 36 sizing for jeans and give the wrong info - it is the customers fault.

It is a RED FLAG to block a customer on IG for asking how they authenticate their Birkins instead of telling us how they authenticate them - A very valid question so it confirms my view that they are not transparent at all and the Birkins are not authenticated. I would not recommend anyone to buy a Birkin from Retag.

They will probably post a message on how it is my fault but then, that is what they have always done. And yes it is my fault for being a loyal customer for over 2 years despite the multiple red flags & issues with them.

I will never buy from them again & I really hope this helps other consumers in making the right choice of asking all the right questions when making a purchase from this extremely problematic company.

For the uninitiated to the world of luxury, they will definitely mislead you & take advantage of the fact that you may not be an expert on brands. But for those who are aware of brands, styles & editions, you may end up luckier then the rest.

Luckily they are not the only ones in the market - The Luxury Quest, Label Centric, Luxepolis , Confidential Couture , My Luxury Bargain , Luxuryone, Saritoria & Luxury Pop to name a few that have great service, know the luxury / designer business & are just much better to deal with overall.

Look at their reviews on google. You will get a sense of the issues. See their responses to customers & You will see how they blame customers for the issues. Also they have done something where their google reviews do not show up because there has been so many bad reviews about them. Shady!

They are frauds, DO NOT sell with them. Or buy from them. I bought a Gucci bag in “pristine” condition from them for 32k when the bag arrived it was extremely dirty and old and definitely not worth the money. They have a no returns policy so I was stuck. They already had many of my bags listed on their website for sale, after a year when none of them got sold I asked them to send it back to me, for which they charged me delivery charges, then they say the delivery was unsuccessful so they’ll have to send me the bags again and charge me double the delivery fee, I was stuck again so had to agree, the second time around too I kept telling them I’m not receiving any calls from the courier partners and I need them to help me out but they kept acting rude and ultimately said the third time also the bags couldn’t be delivered and I’ll have to pay triple now and collect it myself from Delhi. I stay in Bangalore!! This is how they have been harassing me since a year. Please DO NOT BUY OR SELL with them. They are frauds, unprofessional and extremely rude.

Please do not purchase from retag. They do not research their products properly and sell fake superior top quality bags as original/authentic bags. They claim that they use Authenticate First, a luxury bag authentication company for authentication, but the company itself informed me that the certificate given by retag is not the certificate provided by authentication first. And when i asked proof of authentication, to my shock they denied it completely to give me that which is a clear sign of some kind of fraud going on. Really horrible experience. Please save your money add to it and buy it from the store.

My experience is based on conversations with Retag. I enquired about a Coach bag that was listed for 23,999 on Retag. Meanwhile, LuxuryPop and some other preloved were selling it for 21K. So I offered 20K as the size they had was small. Anyway, long story short, they were stuck at 22k.

Fast forward to today when I asked about Dyson Coralle Hair Straightener. They listed it for 30K which on Nykaa itself is for 29K, brand new with 24 months warranty. When I confronted them again with this information, the answer was on the lines on -

"We see that since your last enquiry didn't materialise in a purchase, we are not interested in selling any of our items to you"

I was taken aback and had no doubt that they are shady AF. Check out their Google ratings - a mere 3.5 stars. Do you expect 5 star hotels and luxury brands to have a 3.5 star level of experience?

If you still need proof of how they conduct business, check their live sales. It is so badly organised, dead boring, low resolution quality and no clear shots shown of products. It's is the 'chalta hai' attitude which I don't feel is at par with what customers should be treated with. Moreover, no one, rich or poor, should ever be belittled.

Please spend you money, wisely on other websites that treat you with respect and know their business. Check Luxury Pop, Ziniosa or Luxepolis.
