Amazing place, sold my bus for me and completely stress free, will be using again

I've also experienced the same issue as some others on here have reported. Bob Burrows, the owner of Restohaus sold my van earlier this year. Prior to the sale, he had been nothing but courteous and helpful. Once sold though, he didn't even tell me it had happened. I only found out when the DVLA sent me a change of owner confirmation. He then ignored all my calls and e-mails for the next 7 weeks. I finally got him to release my money after sending him a solicitors letter. Reported to Trading Standards.

As for your reply below Bob, you've got some front! You know very well who I am and I won't be communicating with you any further. You're a disgrace to the VW community.

Following a number of very poor reviews I will tell you about the sale of myVW through Restohaus and Mr Bob Burrows. Very accommodating charming front put on by this individual car sold “he posted the fact on FB” then nothing ! 12 emails sent tens of phone calls not answered, literally radio silent! Long story short I did take legal action and he paid up but I’m £500 down having engaged a solicitor to get my money off him.
Now blocked me on FB …. Basically do not use this company for all they can sell cars they cannot perform payments and the contract you sign is not worth the paper it’s written on (including the spelling mistakes)
Bad experience with no customer service

Bob has sold a number of vehicles for me in the recent times two in the last month alone. Both fetched the asking price. Easy smooth transactions, no hassle and money transferred within five working days. Highly recommended and would use again.

Went along to one of the Tuesday evening car meets hosted by Resto Haus. Great turnout and also had a lovely chat with Bob and Cameron. Both very knowledgeable and we shall definitely come back to another evening.
Bonus that we got to wander around the museum as it was free for the evening event. Lots of great vehicles and the little ones loved it.

Bob looked after our van and sold her for a good price, very happy with the service

Bob and the team at resto haus from start to finish provided an excellent service, I bought a Vw bay unseen as you don’t do, but Bob kept me informed with pictures and videos which gave me confidence, shipping arranged and bus delivered promptly.
I couldn’t fault the service or the bus.
And am looking forward to returning to resto haus.

Contacted Bob at Resto Haus on a recommendation from the person that has looked after our splitty for a number of years as a broker to sell our beloved splitty.

Bob promptly replied with how the process works with them - I was happy with the arrangements and had the splitty trailered to them the following week.

The sale was incredibly quick - within 48 hours - they hadn’t even had time the prep it. It helped that I had some precessionally taken pics to share and support the sale.

Communication was quick and the process easy and worked as Bob had described. I actually went to the showroom the following week to drop the file and spare keys off (not trusting Royal Mail!) - very impressive place if you’re a VW fan. The lunch in the cafe was excellent!

Payment was received exactly when Bob had said it would be with no issues. Confirmation from DVLA of change of ownership received about 10 days later.

Would recommend Resto Haus and wouldn’t hesitate to use them as brokers for any further vehicle sales.

I’ve recently sold my 2005 VW Transporter Camper through Restohaus.
Bob and Charlotte were charming, helpful and honest, the process of dropping off the vehicle for their team to valet and market and thereon to sell was seamless and efficient.
The vehicle sold quickly and payment was promptly received. I’d highly recommend using them if you have a vehicle to sell.

This review is to notify everyone who has a vehicle at resto haus to remove it as soon as possible, through our recent experience and now others coming forward you will probably not get paid once your vehicle gets sold. And if you have recently brought a vehicle of Bob Burrows until the payment has been forwarded to the seller then legally it's not yours. I'm sending this review to warn you of what happens , YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Finally when my vehicle did eventually get delivered it was damaged with no apology. On first dealing with Bob Burrows at Resto-Haus, he seemed very pleasant, but his behaviour towards myself and the seller of the Samba bus I bought through him was nothing short of terrible. Having got a 50% deposit from me on 9th April.(£50k, but he initially wanted 100% upfront!) He purposely dragged out completion of the sale for as long as he could. The bus required first UK registration, which he lied about having done for over 2 months! In fact he largely ignored all methods of contact from me as soon as I'd paid him for weeks on end. The seller was not advised a sale was in progress either and all his attempts at contact were also ignored. Finally things moved along only after a threat of taking legal action & possible police involvement if he did not either refund me, or deliver the vehicle immediately! This spurred him into delivering the vehicle on the 12th June. But he then attempted to continue to withhold my deposit from the seller. The situation only got resolved by swift action taken by the seller & myself to insist payment was made, (as had been pre agreed) prior to leaving my premises. He also managed to cause minor damage to this ultra rare, concours condition bus, due to poor handling and strapping during delivery. Then finally... I discover via DVLA that the application to register the vehicle, (that he'd only done on the 10th June!) had been totally messed up, so I had to start this again myself from scratch! The whole experience was just appalling from start to finish.

Still waiting on payment for van sold in May. I only learned that the van had in fact been sold when I received change of keeper notification from DVLA. I am expecting to launch legal action imminently to recover the money owed.
I am also yet to receive a statement of account despite numerous requests.

Restohaus recently sold my dad’s campervan following his death last year. We’ve not received payment for it yet and need the money for my university fees. It’s been very upsetting and stressful on top of all the painful memories.
We’re now having to look at taking legal action.

As a vw lover this place is amazing...the vehicles in the museum, sorry showroom. (I get confused as the vehicles on display are worthy of a museum ) Are just outstanding. Jaw dropping in fact. We go every Sunday for a coffee and a walk around, as the stock is constantly changing and a few oddities too like Ducati motor bikes! I mean come on it's just dreamy!
This area has longed for something original, fresh and exciting and for me this ticks every box. And I would say the vehicles are world class. They're just outstanding. I wish them all the success in the world. All the staff are super friendly, cool merch, and a great café too!

Love this place, for me it's just perfect. In this current economic climate, and this area, I feel it takes a lot of bravery to open somewhere like this, and these guys deserve every success. And I will support them as much as I can.

went for breakfast and to look at the cars and vans after, coffee was not hot and by the time breakfast arrived we had cold coffee, we you consider that you spend £30 plus on breakfast they still want £10 per adult to look round a car showroom as all are for sale it's was a no from us disappointing as we are local and Vw fans
