Was sold a faulty car with no valid warranty!
I had the same issues with an engine fault warning continually coming up. This began less than a week after picking up the car.
I was seemingly fobbed off with temporary repairs each time I took the car back them.
My app connected to the car also tracked unauthorized use of my car whilst it was in for repairs, totalling well over an hour's drive time and use of my fuel.
The warranty company stated that no paperwork was ever sent to them from the garage so I have no valid warranty. When I tried to contact the garage once again with worsening issues, there was no answer and no reply to email. I was told on a Facebook group that the garage was all locked up.
I am now stuck with a car that I cannot drive and waiting up to 8 weeks for the finance company to investigate and refund me. Absolute disgrace!

Purchase of 2020 Ford Fiesta Titanium October 2025. At first everything seemed fine, the service was great. I was happy with the car and the deal.
When I picked up the car and went to pay for it, I noticed an extra £107.25 had been added to the Sales Invoice. When I questioned this, I was told that they had already taxed the car for six months. Fast forward to January and imagine my surprise when we get a final notice from DVLA saying that the Car tax ran out in November and we needed to tax it straight away or face a possible £1000 fine! I have tried to contact them by email and phone several times and have so far had no reply. Be warned, avoid this garage.

AVOID: Sold a faulty car and now ignoring the law

I strongly advise anyone considering Rawdon Motors Ltd to stay away. My experience has been a masterclass in poor after-sales care and a total disregard for consumer law.

The Fault: I noticed the coolant was low just days after picking up the car. I initially gave them the benefit of the doubt, assuming it was missed during the pre-sale service. However, within 3 weeks, the car was losing 1 litre of coolant every other day.

Failed Repairs: I returned the car twice for them to rectify this. Both times they failed to fix the issue. Because there are no external leaks, this is a major internal engine fault.

Breach of Law: Under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, I have the right to a refund for a faulty product. Despite sending multiple formal letters and emails, Rawdon Motors has completely stopped responding.

Current Status: Their refusal to communicate has left me with no choice but to initiate a claim through my credit card provider to recover my money.

Rawdon Motors promised to rectify the vehicle they sold to me. When they couldn’t they agreed to replace it but still haven’t. They tried to offer a poor PX value instead with me taking all the costs and them walking away with more profit. This is not the action of a good motor dealer.

I would like to give them 5 stars as things were moving forward really well till we took delivery.

Before deliver needed new breaks and discs and master cylinder.

When the car come, ssangyong rexton 7 seater 16 plate fresh 12 months mot and warranty, day of arrival agreed to be delivered free of charge from Leeds to Salisbury there was no back seat belts buckles so could not use the car as there is 7 of us.

We agreed they would supply part as owner knows a guy and local mechanic to me to fix it at there exspense 4/5 days part arrived and wrong part but mechanic managed to fit it any way. Then the heating was not working only on full so owner of company said he will supply part as he knows a guy and get mechanic to fit. Part arrived and it worked for less than a few hours and then broke.

now we can take it on a drive and noticed bad metal rattle from front wheels and shudder from steering wheel plus in high rain the water leaks through window at the rear not even 2 weeks ownership.

Now when mechanic investigated it needed new drive shaft, wheel bearing, hub and other bits around area. Owner agreed to supply parts as he knows a guy and give to mechanic to fit.

Now 6 weeks in and 2 weeks and 3 days from investigation and owner won't take my calls and garage says he is always out or at home or on holiday.

They say they will get him to call be he don't so I have no choice but to raise a complaint with finance company as all this went wrong in the first two weeks.

Such a shame had good feedback about these guys but clearly if somthing goes wrong your on your own.

I bought a jaguar xf off mark and I have too say it was a pleasure from start too driving away.
You couldn't ask for more help and pressure free.
I recommend rawdon motors too any one and a few off my friends have purchased cars off them what a great experience

I have been in the motor trade for over 30 yrs so I know what is what, and the type of people the stigma it attracts. The car I bought was presented beautifully, mark (the owner) is cool and very professional at the same time, no pressure my new car is stunning 😍

Still chasing Owner Mark for updates as he never contacts me unsolicited. Keeps saying the same thing and no replacement vehicle is forthcoming.

Just bought a car from Rawdon Motors. Paul was super helpful and efficient. The car was exactly as described including the service history. I would definitely recommend and use them again.

There is something about the way you feel when you know you have come to the right place. Yesterday I traveled by train some 70 miles to Apperley Bridge train station. It was going to be a three mile walk to buy a car so I had to be already confident I was doing the right thing. Mark at Rawdon Motors wasn't going to let me do the walk and sent out a collection car right away. In no time at all driving out of the showroom very pleased with my purchase and very happy with the service provided. Mark is wonderful guy who has the air of someone you can fully trust. Very fine experience all round !!!

Be wary of the warranty that you get with your car. Be prepared to have to pay an excess for any claim, the warranty company only covering mechanic charges up to £40 per hour and that they will only cover parts up to a certain value. So if you need a genuine dealer part then you are likely to have to pay towards that as well.
Diagnostic costs not covered either.

So the cars might look great and you appear to be covered should anything go wrong, but the warranty isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be or you would hope it to be. If you need anything fixed you will have something to pay.

First hand experience only one month after purchasing the car.

Please be very care, this dealer is a real cowboy, I wanted to purchase an ml350 mercedes I rang up and said I would put a deposit down on the car in the afternoon, but please give me a ring if someone is interested. I rang up later in the afternoon the person was very rude said I gave him the wrong telephone number ( which i didn't) and said he sold it to someone else. The next day it was put back up forsale with a £1000 price increase, I have rung to ask about it and they hang up. I think i had a lucky escape!

Just purchased a Porsche cayenne for Rawdon Motors and nothing was a problem for these guys, very friendly and helpful, a great experience purchase from Mark the owner, a. Few days after the purchase the battery started to play up and not start so good the following morning, I messaged Mark and it was dealt with straight away with no hassle, I wouldn’t hesitate buying again from Rowdon after this….

Worst person I probably have ever spoke to in my life. Try to bully you into selling your car for dirt and laugh at you for saying what you want for the car. Long story short, sold my car for a lot more than what they offered and got my new car a lot cheaper else where.

Excellent service very clean car Peugeot 208gti would recommend to anyone aswell as 12 month warranty and car was taxed as I got there and never missed a beat on the way home thanks to Paul

Fantastic company. I live in Wales had to travel to Leeds. Bought my old car so I didn't have to go back to pick it up .sorted tax and mot replaced all the spring as well as giving a 12months warranty. Very polite nothing too much trouble .the car was immaculate. I definitely would highly recommend this company

For several months, I searched for a Jeep Wrangler, but the only options I found were subpar. Recently had the pleasure of purchasing my Audi SQ5 from Rawdon motors. Exceptional service. The car did develop a timing chain issue, Rawdon motors took the car back and paid for a full engine rebuild, issued me a courtesy car in the meam time. Hats off too the guys they did a grand job. Aftercare service exceptional.

We bought a beautiful Range Rover Evoque from Mark 2 months ago , from start to finish our experience with this company was faultless , no messing no bull**** just honest advise , the company stands by its policies as we had a abs sensor go but Mqrk took care of it with there 12 month warranty, would definitely recommend to anybody looking for a replacement car , thank you to Mark and the team 👍👍👍👍
