Didn't communicate card cancellation and potential fraud

I recently went overseas on a trip to Africa and used the Qudos App to inform the bank of my travel details before I went. Used my card at a hotel and everything went through fine.
Unbeknownst to me, this transaction was flagged and my card was put on hold. There was NO communication of this and it took me numerous attempts with my card at different institutions to work out what had happened.
I had to contact the bank to discover that my card was on hold. It then took a number of emails for this to be rectified.
I will now be moving to a different bank that knows how to deal with customers and fraud. I should have been notified instantly of a pending fraudulent transaction and definitely been notified that my card was on hold. This caused frustration during my trip and I am lucky I had other avenues for transacting on my trip.
Qudos is not a bank that knows how to deal with fraudulent transactions, nor do they understand how to communicate with customers.

I thought I'd made the right choice…

I thought I'd made the right choice approx. six months ago by opening an account with this bank, but Qudos have done such a brilliant job of negating my attempts to build on my savings by their conditions, surcharges and delayed actions, that any true ownership of my own money appears to have disappeared. And if I'm capable or allowed to close my account, I'll be left with less than I'd originally deposited.

Poor and inattentive service

As a Qantas frequent flyer member, my partner was initially planning to open a Qantas Points Saver account. In our first attempt to complete all the identity checks and fill out all the information on my phone (31 Oct), the website suddenly shut down with an 'error message- under maintenance'. We were worried that all my partner's personal information including his driver's ID and photos, would be compromised.

When we called the customer service support on 3 Nov, the associate advised that they would send a form for him to fill out via email, which never arrived. We even filled out the inquiry form on your bank website and received an email later on (see attached) but when we called back, they told us that all the information my partner already submitted was not saved/stored, and again, promised that they'd send the form (again), which never arrived, unfortunately.

It's DISAPPOINTING to see a simple action could be ignored and never attended and the process is just onerous and not streamlined enough. We really want to bank with Qudos but the recent experience shows the unprofessionalism and convoluted process customers have to go through and wait for an empty promise.

It's NOT the bank we'd like to put our money in anymore. Really disappointing.

Worth the switch

Switched over from Citibank and I have not looked back. It's online banking and app interfaces are easy to use and the accounts are very competitive. Highly Recommended
