In 2023 I purchased a Purple Line Titanium caravan mover. I had the expensive thing installed and used it 3-4 times before it stopped working. Eventually after months of the thing not working I took it to get repaired and was told it let in water and the motor was stuffed. As it was under warranty I contacted Purple Line. What a nasty experience. The woman there accused me of driving through a river claiming it was water proof! It’s demonstrably not water proof and now I’m going to have to take this dodgy company to court over their cheap products that don’t work. Beware of this company

A major issue is the oversized nut beneath the tow bar tongue, which is incompatible with the Saracen Ultra, compromising the unit's functionality. Additionally, there is a significant risk of the lock dislodging from the tow ball, endangering vehicle bumpers.

To rectify these issues, users have had to undertake manual modifications, such as resizing the nut and adding an extra securing nut on top of the tow ball to mitigate further damage. Unfortunately, these necessary adjustments underscore a basic lapse in the hitch's design and a clear disregard for the diverse nut sizes that are prevalent in the New Zealand market.

In summary, the design flaws of the Saracen Ultra Trailer Hitch are apparent, and the lack of simple, effective solutions is a letdown. It is imperative that there is better attention to detail and a consideration of local market requirements to improve the product's suitability for customers.

Fantastic service and quick response.

I purchased a Saracen hitch lock a few years ago to secure my caravan and lost all but one key. I contacted the manufacturer Purple Line and asked for a replacement lock and they were very quick to respond and provided exceptional service. Whilst the lock cant have keys replaced, the lock part can be replaced and new keys supplied for that part of the mechanism. Now I don't have the stress of loosing the last remaining key and given the nature of the this system, I would not want to try and break the lock.
