Shame as it’s a great gym
Good gym! Shame whoever runs the classes takes equipment into the rooms there never takes it back again! Miss a lot of my work outs because of this (sit up bench!!!) don’t be lazy return the equipment or get more than one!

We ask that all members, and staff, return their weights after use, to ensure that the gym remains and safe and tidy environment for our members. However we know that at busier times, weights are not always returned and our team complete regular re-sets of the gym. We understand that this is sometimes frustrating for our members, and it is included within our Gym Rules that people should return weights after use. Anybody witnessed leaving equipment out of place will be spoken to by our Gym Team/ Gym Manager. If you have any specific concerns relating to this matter, please speak with the Gym Manager where they will be happy to assist further. Thanks, PureGym
Great gym - no ties!
Always clean and welcoming. Good availability of equipment. Personal trainers are available for hire if you want to invest a bit more. With Pure Gym you don’t have to tie into a contract. I travel a lot so I took out full membership so I can use other Pure Gyms around the country… and free sports water - which I really like! Very good value all round.

Thought I’d try this gym after the others did a day pass and I will never step foot into one again where do I start the changing areas are tiny the showers are pure filth and dirt the only decent thing is you don’t have to keep turning it on their competitors are cheaper and only slightly better

Warn out gym
Whenever I go into the changing rooms it always either smells of stagnant water or the sanitary bin is smelling. Only 1 toilet is working and the other has been out of action for over 4 months now.
It is not value for money as other pure gyms are far bigger and have double the amount of gym equipment, this gym should be a lot cheaper for how small and warn out it is now.

Please be aware due to the situation of our gyms it isn't always possible to extend the site itself, however, we are always looking to expand and improve our facilities where possible, so please keep an eye out for updates.

Gym equipment always left lying around…
Gym equipment always left lying around even by PT's who are surely supposed to be setting an example to their clients. Most times I'm in the gym I have to re rack weights that have been left on equipment I am about to use as the person before cannot be bothered to take them off. Young lads training in groups of 5+ filming their workouts and hogging kit which wouldn't matter if the gym was bigger and there was more that 1 of each piece of kit and the overall vibe in the gym is not good due to bad gym etiquette. Feels more like an after school club if you end up going to the gym between 3-5 during weekdays.

It is in the gym rules that members should return their own weights or risk suspension, but at peak times especially it can be hard to police this.
However, staff on site do everything they can while we also have CCTV monitoring the free weights and are looking for new ways to combat this.

Recent new studio classes have been…
Recent new studio classes have been introduced and they’ve been challenging and good fun. Our Centre Manager has listened and reinstated midday or early afternoon studio sessions. Helpful and friendly staff of course make the experience enjoyable.

Good but cold
Everything was great but the women's changing rooms were freezing and really unpleasant. Unfortunately, for this reason I won't join right now, perhaps in the Spring.

Temperatures and air conditioning in our gyms are automatically regulated by Smart machines, but if there is a persistent issue staff may be able to override it and can certainly report it to be checked by engineers. Thanks, PureGym.

Gym at Waterlooville generally good but maintenance poor. A year of leak in ladies changing room and no heating. Absolutely freezing such that cannot use showers as too cold to change

Good equipment, poor facilities
Good range of equipment and machines but let down by the standard of the changing rooms, showers and toilets, which are aged and unhygienic.

I felt I received star treatment
I felt I received star treatment, so much equipment to chose for every part of your body! The atmosphere was so calm I didn't feel like I was 'being watched' as I can be quite paranoid the first few times of using a gym. The membership is such a great price it's so affordable. Every equipment I used was in good working order, cleaning station easy to spot and the staff were so helpful and explained how things worked. I can't wait to go back!

Not the vibe
The gym is so crammed full of equipment, there’s hardly any space to move around. It wasn’t very busy at all but it just felt over crowded and as though everyone was in everyone’s way. It was dark and had no natural light. It was warm and there was no music playing. It felt incredibly awkward and the vibe was just not there. I Will not be returning.

Great value and good gym
Easy and cheap to join. Good range of equipment and classes. Gym is always clean and the toilet/shower facilities are good too! The app is great!
