Not good enough
When I joined and went down to the gym I found out that the locker in the men room are broken, even when you put the pad lock you can still open the locker.
The machine are broken or damaged .
It's like a worn gym equipment that need to update.
I'm very disappointed with my experience of this and thinking of going to another gym.

We would like to assure you that we are reviewing feedback and will ensure this is addressed in club. Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. stench, please say we are not inhaling bacteria.
The gym honestly gets the job done for beginners to intermediate gym goers, however there are some downsides to the gym like it stinking super bad especially the separate weight room, there is a strong odour as a result of lack of ventilation and sweaty people. The toilet door never closes next to it either which is another downside i have never been in there but i wouldn't like it swinging open with someone else inside beside the fact that this adds to the stench. Overall its a commercial gym and charges the correct pricing and always has offers on, the times that i go at rarely are busy but i have been to the gym at times where there isn't a place to stand never mind workout. If the pure gym Rochdale team read this please get some better ventilation in that room and bring back the cleaners. Thank you.

We're sorry to hear that you have concerns surrounding the cleanliness of your gym. We work hard to ensure that our gyms are a safe and comfortable environment for all of our members, and always take member feedback on board.

All member feedback is also reviewed, and brought to the attention of our Facilities team, who regularly review any changes we make to our gym facilities and all feedback is taken into account when making any future changes.

I enjoy the classes and have been going for 3 years now. The trainers are great. Matthew has proved a great addition to the staff. Particularly the spin and burn classes I go to.

Awful gym
Awful gym, limited equipment, nothing in its right place. The gym has a poor layout, severe lack of planning ahead in designing it, and staff seem to only train people rather than maintain the gym, which was a complete mess.

People don’t put their weights away and…
People don’t put their weights away and there is no consequence to this. It’s hard to find the weights you need because they’re all over the place and I always have to de-load a bar from the previous user.

It is in the gym rules that members should return their own weights or risk suspension, but at peak times especially it can be hard to police this. However, staff on site do everything they can while we also have CCTV monitoring the free weights and are looking for new ways to address this. Thanks, PureGym.

Toilets are clean but for the last 10 days was no soap in the bathroom.
I will be going today so will see it might be another day with all sorts of germs on my hands.

This gum is going down hill so fast
This gym is going down hill so fast. It's a mess, and the showers haven't been working for at least 3 weeks, maybe longer. There's a pathetic notice saying there are heating engineers coming daily- well, if they can't fix it get someone who can!
Currently, this Pure Gym site is abysmal. I do hope it quickly returns to how it has been over the past 10 years or so I've been a member.

If you have a multi-gym membership you will be able to book classes at the other gyms you have access to.
When you look at classes, make sure you have selected the right gym. In the app, you can tap filter and select the gym you'd like to view class bookings for. Thanks, PureGym.
