well what can i say pure gym been a customer for years in your Brighton area and yet when it comes to getting hold of costumer services your none existence is unmatched. so recently i had trouble with a previous membership the same one ive had for years trying to change to date of membership payment i was locked out of so i was unable to change it so i could pay it due to you trying to take the money early as always aka 10 days early you are not able to change anything. i tried to call there is no number i sent emails no response you locked me out of my previous account so i could neither pay or cancel that membership so i was not able to use the gym for two weeks on that code so i started a new membership as knowing the staff for a long time they said this was fine. to my surprise ive been not only double charged for both memberships it was also added the administration fees and rejoining fees and also the full gym membership charge 83.98 i was then charged again for a cancelled membership on the 19th of December even tho you locked the previous account from the 19th to the 1st and still charge a full month even tho its cancelled for a month at pure gym can explain how this evens happens. the experience let alone is not great the showers smell like sewage during the night and day because your pluming seems to be connected to the same line as the showers. this is pure gym experience for you in one hit. this is not the first time it happened.

Overcrowded and far too loud.
Overcrowded, ridiculously loud and lacking in equipment. The equipment is also very dirty.

We’re afraid it's true, our gyms simply are very popular and so can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day and from day to day. Members can also use the members area via the PureGym app or website, to see how many people are in the gym. We always aim to provide a broad spread of kit to cater to a range of fitness needs and meet demand as it changes through the day, getting the balance right between weights and cardio, but if you have any specific suggestions please approach the Gym Manager or leave a note in the feedback box, which is regularly reviewed. Access denied
I went to the gym for the first time, entered my code and my access was suspended. Couldn't find another way to get into the gym. Puregym are basically uncontactable so I don't know how to resolve this. Yeah... wish I hadn't joined.

Closed for 3 days but no app/email notification
It's OK to be honest, but it's been shut for three days (again tonight) and no email to notify members. I found out by walking there (assuming it would be open by now, other wise they would have notified me). I ended up at the City Centre one which I was able to do because I am a multi-gym member at the moment. Good practice would be telling people, with directions to the other nearby gym as a substitute.
P.s A perk of my current membership is the Yanga drink which often tastes more like water (which it didn't at the city centre location). They need to refill it more at London Rd.
Whilst this sounds whingy; the star review is reflected in the closure without notification. I do recommend them.

worst puregym location i’ve been too
weights grips are completely gone. gym is a mess. desperately needs revamping. water tastes like chlorine. whole gym is set out weird. stuff is in random places. only one hip thrust set up. worst pure gym location i’ve been too

Best gym ever
Great experience many thanks. I've got one suggestion, if you could add chairs to sit on in the main room where the machines are so we can sit on between each workout, this would be brilliant. Personally i had to sit on the floor or on one of the machines to rest between workouts. Thank you for reading the feedback :)

Poor air circulation

It is in the gym rules that members should return their own weights or risk suspension, but at peak times especially it can be hard to police this. However, staff on site do everything they can while we also have CCTV monitoring the free weights and are looking for new ways to address this.
Regarding the air conditioning, we pump over 2,000 litres of fresh air into our gyms every second though our ventilation systems. This helps to dilute airborne virus particles and ensure members have clean fresh air to workout. Our gyms are also cleaned every night with high-grade anti-viral disinfectant. The team also clean every piece of kit and surface throughout the day, from dumbbells to treadmills and everything in between, so you can train with confidence.
We've also installed new self-cleaning stations so you can clean your kit before and after use, for added peace of mind. Cleaning stations are located in all key areas of the gym to make it as easy as possible.Thanks, PureGym.
