We do our very best to provide a wide range of classes, so that members have a variety of ways to workout and also do so, in a short amount of time, as we understand some members are crunched for time or just prefer shorter (but effective) workouts. Don't forget, our app also has lots of features so that members can get the most out of their membership! It’s great to hear you enjoyed your recent class and how our PT's have had a positive impact on your fitness journey so far! Great gym but minor complaints
I basically live in this gym. Im in there almost every day. Its got great kit, its clean and most of the staff seem nice. I have two main qualms woth this gym. Firstly, one of the managers appears quite rude. He literally tidies up the weights whilst people are on the machines. That may not sound like much, but when I'm on the bench press and he is tidier up the plate weights on that machine, it feels really uncomfortable- I felt like I was in his way. Secondly, and this is very minor, but when I get sweaty on the Cardio machines, I dont want to walk across the gym to the cleaning spray - not out of laziness, I'm just self conscious, especially after a hard workout. If you could put a cloth and spray on the Cardio machine side, I would use it. Other then that, great gym and really recommend. Luckily since Ive joined, they have advertising the need to register your number plate before 7am properly. I ended up with 5 parking fines because it was poorly advertised.

We do our very best to provide a wide range of equipment so that members have a variety of ways to workout and we always love being able to help and chat to our members when given the opportunity to do so! Staff on site work hard to ensure the gym is kept tidy, especially during peak hours, however we apologise for any inconvenience caused by this. If you have any concerns, it would help us if you could get in touch directly with Member Services to provide more information (such as date and time or names etc.) so that this can be looked into further. We also fully understand the importance of cleanliness within the gym and we greatly appreciate member feedback. Please be assured this will be passed through to the club, and if you have any further suggestions, please do not hesitate to speak to staff on site and they'll be happy to help! AVOID!! AVOID!! AVOID!! I had a very disappointing and uncomfortable experience at PureGym Alton.
I added a friend to my membership and around 30 minutes into our workout, we were approached aggressively by someone who identified himself as the manager. Without any reasonable discussion, he accused me of conducting personal training, purely based on my appearance and physique. This accusation was completely unfounded.
His manner was extremely rude and confrontational. He stood far too close, puffing his chest out as if trying to provoke an argument, and raised his voice in front of other members. The situation felt intimidating and wholly unprofessional. I recorded the rude man who claimed to be the manger and the incident and I will be passing it to head office, despite there being no misconduct on our part.
At no point was the situation handled calmly, respectfully, or in a way you would expect from a manager representing a national gym brand. The entire interaction left both myself and my guest feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome it was his first time ever in a gym.
Based on this experience, I would strongly advise others to avoid this gym. There are far better alternatives locally, such as Everyone Active, where staff are genuinely friendly, respectful, and treat paying members properly.

A Great Experience
Very easy to join. The website is easy to navigate and the membership info is presented well. Also great experience with Jem when I popped into the gym. He was really helpful and part of my decision to join.

Great all rounder gym
Always very clean, more than enough equipment. Equipment has stickers on as to what they are called & how to use them (thankfully!!).
Easy access out of staff hours. Have not yet found any equipment sub par or wearing out, things must be monitored a lot and replaced quickly.
Staff are welcoming on the hours I go in AM (Wed, Fri, then unmanned on Sun) and I love that Puregym support vulnerable and people with disabilities to work. Having disabilities myself this gives me joy! Always something on the board for a gym challenge to motivate. The members - very helpful, either keep themselves to themselves or smile if you’re glancing around. Such a huge range of people and never feel out of place whether I’m doing a light or heavy workout.
Wobbly arms is no excuse and everyone will help put things away. No one does seem to leave any equipment out. Everyone’s always been polite in asking about reps left on a piece of gear I’m using. Love this gym more than my home puregym. I attend 3 times a week and drag my BF along once a week thanks to the buddy system.

I was a member for while
I was a member for while, but I have to stop because I wasn’t happy because old management was not able to provide.necessary staff to used to clean the equipment I been away from the gym for 2 years, now I decided to go back, see if the place changed, now new management much better,and the equipment more organised the place now is great, the new management is great and Lindsey very helpful,the rest of staff is brilliant the pure gym I go to is sealand road in chester

PURE GYM 10/10
Absolutely delighted with my experience. I’m just visiting for a month from Canada and needed to find a gym nearby where I’m staying so walked to Pure Gym Alton and met Lucy who works there. She was so lovely and just helpful and kind and even took the time to set me up on line cuz I’m terrible w online stuff. Very impressed with the facility as well and the cleanliness.

Same PIN
I had to cancel my gym membership at Camberley to rejoin with MyVitality. I was very pleased that I have the same PIN.
Now I no longer live in Camberley, my nearest gym is Alton or Aldershot. I visited the Alton gym today and was welcomed by a very lovely lady called Ali. I was quite dissapointed by the lack of equipment and facilities in Alton. i appreciate this gym is new, so I hope it improves over time. I was previously at Camberley which has significantly more equipment and much better changing/showering facilities despite it being around the same size as Alton. As I now have multi-gym membership, I will at least be able to use Camberley from time to time. Aldershot seems to have better changing facilities than Alton, but Camberley is nicer than either in my opinion.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff, good atmosphere
On my induction was greeted by Ali the PT who was very helpful then Dale the manager talked me around the gym and explained a few bits I was unsure of, have been in a few times and it could possibly do with some duplicated equipment such as pec fly machine but all is clean and looked after.

Excellent gym!
Nice, clean gym, brilliant personal trainers who listen and help and are on 'my page' in respect of achieving my goals. Staff are friendly and helpful. The gym has a nice atmosphere. The other gym in Alton - I've been there - no comparison!!
