Protyre Autocare - Warrington Anmeldelser 

Visited the Warrington Branch this morning with my car, having booked in online for a free exhaust check following a national chain of garages telling me I had an exhaust leak.

The staff there went above and beyond to investigate and rectify the issue which wasn’t a leak. This level of service is rare these days, especially in garages / repair centres.

Special mention to Josh and Andy for outstanding customer care and service.

I rarely leave reviews unless I’ve experienced something exceptional which was definitely the case here!

Fixed quickly and efficiently. Good communication and service.

The technician took great care to protect my alloy wheels when he fitted the tyres and cleaned everything when he had finished. Great service!

Excellent service at warrington BUT having received a writted qoute for an MOT at £49.95 and confirmed this when booking ( Ford offered £54,95) i was 'stung' and another victim of the rip off charge with a vague text on the counter. I have requested a refund for this. No explanation in the text of how charge is done, nothing on letter and no mention over the phone. BEWARE!

VERY DISAPPOINTED THIS TIME - I HAVE THOUGHT LONG AND HARD ABOUT GIVING THIS REVIEW BUT I FEEL VERY LET DOWN - I HAVE USED PROTYRE WARRINGTON FOR MOT AND SERVICING THE LAST 3 YEARS WITHOUT COMPLAINT. THIS TIME PAYING FOR A TOP PLATINUM SERVICE £400 + ON MY NEWLY ACQUIRED CAR. BEFORE TURNING UP THEY PHONED ME AND ADVISED ME THAT THE CAR REQUIRED NEW DISCS AND PADS - QUOTE £640 - I TOLD THEM IT WOULD HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL MY NEXT PAY DAY BEARING IN MIND THE CAR HAD ONLY JUST PASSED ITS MOT.! APPARANTLY IT WAS STILL SAFE AT THE MOMENT BUT BORDERLINE. FOLLOWING ANOTHER PHONE CALL LATER I TURNED UP AS ADVISED THAT IT WAS ALMOST READY. ON ARRIVAL I SAT THERE AND SAT THERE. I COULD SEE MY CAR ON THE RAMP WITH NOTHING HAPPENING. AFTER AT LEAST ONE HOUR WAIT I DARED TO ASK WHAT THE DELAY WAS AND THE LACK OF COMMUNICATION. THAT WAS LIKE A RED RAG TO A BULL. THE MANAGER / RECEPTIONIST (BOSS!) SUDDENLY WENT INTO THE WORKSHOP , REVEARSED MY CAR OFF THE RAMP. QUICKLY STAPLED THE PAPERWORK , HANDED IT TO ME ALONG WITH THE KEYS. AS I LEFT THE WORKSHOP, I THOUGHT ABOUT THE LOCKING WHEEL NUT. STOPPED JUST OUTSIDE, SEARCHED FRANTICALLY IN THE POSSIBLE USUAL PLACES TO NO AVAIL. I WAS FEELING ANXIOUS ABOUT GOING BACK INTO PROTYRE, I FELT THAT UNCOMFORTABLE, BUT I HAD TO. THE MECHANIC WHO HAD SERVICED MY CAR APPEARED AND KNEW EXACTLY WHERE MY LOCKING WHEEL NUT WAS - UNDER THE BONNET ON TOP OF THE AIR FILTER BOX. NOT ONLY THAT - THE NEXT DAY I RECEIVED A LOW BRAKE FLUID WARNING LIGHT - THE BRAKE FLUID THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN SERVICED ONLY TO FIND THE TOP OFF THE BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR AT THE SIDE UNSCREWED - ALL I CAN SURMISE IS THAT THE MANAGER WHO I HAD DARED TO CHALLENGE HADN'T CHECKED WITH THE MECHANIC THAT HE HAD FINISHED SERVICING MY CAR! I WON'T BE GOING BACK SADLY !

The service and staff were very efficient and helpful with my puncture.would recommend trying it out.

Changed tyres fine. 40 minutes on the ramp and couldn't do tracking. Said a mechanic would need to free off. Took to another national tyre company. 20 minutes form arriving to being complete. Not sure what the drama was, whether it was lack of knowledge and experience. Communication was very poor from arrival to leaving. Have used this company 6 times but think, this is the last time

Was able to inspect tyres and conclude 2 new tyres required which were available for fitting in the day - with very little waiting time

Took on time which is unusual these days. A good report on completion of the examination.

Reliable and efficient, have used them for years and have never had a bad experience when dealing with them.

The service and customer experience was appalling. I tried all morning to speak to someone by phone and nobody had the decency to answer and when I arrived with my car I asked and the mechanic said they were far too busy to answer the phone - very poor. The guy on the desk treated me like I was a hinderence and was quite rude. I had this experience when I dropped the car off and when I picked the car up. A training course may be needed...

I received a call from the Centre Manager Steve today (07/05/26). He explained that he will take action and issue a full refund for the work carried out which I fully appreciate...

Hopefully the customer service will improve and I'd be happy to revisit and give them a 2nd chance...

I booked and purchased online and everything was organised and planned for the time allocated, tyres fitted , alignment done, I had a jiggle a couple of days later with tyre pressure sensors and they were more than happy to help. I always used Protyre / Jeffreys and will continue to do so

Went to Warrington Branch, Steve excellent manager, very knowledgeable did the MOT and small oil and filter service in 90minutes while I waited.Been going to this branch for 5 years and would not go anywhere else.5 star service to Steve and his excellent team.Price was very good, and BMW parts used.
