The guys at Protyre Horsforth are always friendly, helpful and professional. I've been using the the centre for years, it has always been ok but the guys there now are outstanding.

Dishonorable and disrespectul firm from the top down!

I have been a repeat customer of Protyre for many years now, from several sets of car tyres, batteries, services, air con regases, and never had an issue until a month ago.
I booked to have 2 new premium tyres fitted over the phone with James, whom I presume to be branch manager. When doing so I asked whether there were currently any offers on and once he had checked said that unfortunately there were not currently any offers on as I had chosen the all weather tyres. I made the booking, ready to get the tyres fitted on the Friday, and moved meetings round to accomodate this. Friday came and I got a call just before the booking saying there had been a mix up, the tyres didnt arrive, could I make Saturday. I said no problem and cancelled an appointment on Sat morning instead as I needed to get these asap.
Saturday came, I got the tyres fitted and all was good.
Two days later I got a marketting email from Protyre stating 15% off any 2 Pirrelli tyres, and on clicking on the offer I found that mine were included. I then did some digging and found that this offer had been live for a month, so was definately valid when I asked if there were any offers on?!
So I called James, to which first was met with partial understanding and that he would go away and find out how to sort the refund (£75!) and then call me back. No call back for over a week so I chased him, finally catching up with him, only to be met with hard pushback that I would not be getting any refund due to the offer not being visible on his screen at the time?? Not a valid reason at all! I then persisted and was told a whole host of other reasons, including that I had already apparently had a discount ordering over the phone, getting the online price?! Why would there be any difference between the 2? And if I was told that, I would have just done this order online.
I told James to escalate this as I was not happy and get back to me asap, of which again I have heard nothing!! So I am clearly not getting a refund, however at least I can warn everyone else about this shocking experience!! Fancy arguing about £75, when the fault clearly lies with them. Especially given how reasonable I was for their fault with the tyres not turning up and having to re-arrange my appointment, and my calendar?!
Appalling and dishonourable! I will not be returning to Protyre

Customer-friendly service

I've always taken my car for service to the main dealer where I bought it, but as that's several miles away it takes a whole day, so I decided it was time to try someone local.
First off, I liked that Protyre's website explained exactly what you'd get with each level of service, and it gave a price for the whole, whereas some others give a 'total' price and then you find that some things aren't included so you have to pay extra for them.
The prices quoted seem reasonable, and especially if there happens to be a discount offer on when you book.
Also I appreciated being able to choose the time I brought the car in, and being told approximately how long the service would take.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, rang me to advise on additional work needed, and rang again to say the car was ready to be picked up.
I shall certainly use them again.
