I had a very disappointing experience with this garage.

The job initially started with a £169 quote for rear brake pads. When I attended, I was advised that the rear discs also needed replacing. I was told the labour time would be similar, so I did not expect the final bill to escalate to £480.

What made this unacceptable was that the final price ended up effectively matching BMW main dealer pricing, despite the work being carried out outside the dealer network using aftermarket parts. BMW were actually quoting the same or slightly less for the same work.

To make matters worse, the work was not fully completed. After collecting the car, I continued to get a “change brake pads” warning. The service indicator had not been reset, and this could not be done from the car itself. I had to spend additional time and seek external help to resolve this.

I raised all of this directly with the company before leaving this review. As is often the case, they publicly ask customers to “contact them by email”, but in reality the follow-up led nowhere. Instead of addressing the core issues, I was asked for unreasonable and impractical information, and then received no response at all.

Overall, the pricing lacked transparency, the value for money was poor, and the after-service support was frustrating. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this garage.

What a great team! From booking in, to completion of my tyres fitted and tracking. Friendly, polite and take time to answer your questions, and all this in freezing cold weather! We have had our motorbike tyres fitted here in past years, again always had a great experience. Thanks again!

It's a shame to give them 3 stars. Used to be the quickest place to get tyres fitted. Not sure if they've lost staff or had to make cuts but things have slowed right down. Had tyres fitted twice here recently, I used them again in case the first time was just chance it wasn't. I now go elsewhere

Hi, I have used Buckley tyres (protyre) for years and this time I felt completely let down, we had a puncture which had a temporary repair which i needed properly repairing or replacing, like other customers my family is my priority and felt unsafe driving with them in the car, so I went to your garage to get the tyre sorted one way or another and was told we are not doing walk in and you will need to book in, this was done politely and amicably but I feel a puncture repair is not something i could forsee so how do you expect your customers to know when to arrange the unexpected puncture to be repaired, and I feel let down as a temporary repair is not what I call trustworthy and like it says just enough to get you to a reliable garage to get it fixed which I feel in this case you have not met your previous standards

On time appointment and very professional

The service was very friendly, but unfortunately unprofessional. While removing the wheels, they damaged the locking wheel key, and as a result the additional cost of having the wheel removed at another workshop and buying a new key fell on me. They were not interested at all in reimbursing these extra costs. I would gladly return there, but dressed in work clothes with my own tools, and I would have to remove the wheels myself.

Very lengthy wait whilst standard work was carried out- 2 new tyres. Never taken that long before!
Very expensive too.
