Hi Mulugeta. Thank you for your kind words, that is really appreciated. This was our first event in London and we will always seek to improve our customers' experience the next time. Hi Don. We are really sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience at Pro11. Sometimes it might appear that scouts are focusing on a particular group, but in reality on this date in London, half of the 12 players scouted were under the age of 11. In regards to feedback, we have debated long and hard about how to deliver this. At Pro11 we have an approach of openness, and transparency in everything that we do, which is why for example we clearly tell you which scouts are in attendance at the event and which players have been selected on the day. We decided that delivering feedback directly to the parent and player on the day would be the best way to do this. It also means that the players are fresh in the mind of the coaches. Feedback is always delivered constructively, positively and sensitively, taking into account the age of the player. Regards, Pro11 Customer Service

Hi, I am sorry you were disappointed with the day at Fleetwood. Unfortunately, being under the control of the club we were only allocated indoor space in the changing rooms, and were only allowed to use the restaurant area for certain times due to the use by the first team. There was outside space allocated to us as well, but due to the bad weather this was not usable for registration etc. This was not ideal but we had no control over this unfortunately. The timings advertised for any event include the time taken for registration / briefing and de-briefing / feedback afterwards, and timings are always approximate, taking into account number of trailists etc. In the case of the Fleetwood trial, as I am sure you can appreciate, the weather was so bad that the coaches took the decision to end the session a little early as particularly the younger players were showing signs of cold and fatigue, even though they had been given a comfort break. Whilst we appreciate this is disappointing, the well being of players is always our first priority. Also, at this point, the scouts had already informed us which players they were interested in talking to, so there was little to gain by making the trialists continue under the weather conditions. In regards to your son being placed with older players, we do not have enough trialists on any event for children to play just within their own age group. As the drills and matches are not full contact, we can allow a couple of years difference for players in their groups. Also, this format has allowed players of all ages to be successfully scouted at previous trial events, as the scouts are only looking for this to give them an overview of a trialist to provoke their interest, and would then arrange to monitor the player further either with their own team, or by inviting them in to a training trial at their club. We do always advertise that our events are open to both boys and girls but sadly as you say, girls are still in a minority in attending. We hope that this will change going forward! Hi Stephen. Thanks for sharing your feedback with us. It is interesting too that you are able to compare a couple of different dates and venues that you have attended. We agree that the indoor space we were provided with at Fleetwood was not ideal but as you are aware that was out of our control. They had allocated us some outside space as well, but unfortunately we could not make use of that with the weather conditions. I''m sure you'll agree that the scouts were more visible on the pitch towards the end of the session, and in total there were 10 scouts from 5 clubs who looked at all the players that day. In regards to timing, the decision was taken by our coaching staff to end the players' pitch time a little early, as some of the children, particularly the younger ones, were showing signs of fatigue despite having been given a comfort break. Also, at this point, the scouts had already informed us which players they were interested in talking to, so there was little to gain by making the players continue. It is also worth noting that timings for all sessions are approximate, and will vary due to number of trialists etc, and do include the time taken in registration / briefing and de-brief/feedback as well as time on the pitch. Thanks for taking the time to write us a review.

Our trials are primarily a platform for aspiring footballers to show their talent in front of professional scouts, and are advertised as such. They are not designed as sessions to provide detailed, individual player assessment. We do state during the debrief at all trials that if you would like some feedback, to please stay behind and speak to one of the coaching team. This is because it is very difficult once an event has passed to remember the details of each individual participant. That said, we do respond to any requests after the event as best we can, but unfortunately I cannot seem to trace anything via Messenger from yourself. Of course it is possible that this has been missed somehow, so perhaps if you could contact the office on 0161 850 8787 or email us at info@pro11trials.co.uk we can trace your message and see what has gone wrong, and/or provide you with the feedback you need.

In regards to the £49.50 you paid, this covers the costs of FA approved pitch hire, qualified coaching staff (with relevant First Aid and Safeguarding training) equipment and all relevant insurances. We believe that is considerably better value for money than some of our competitors, who are charging upwards of £80 for a 2 hour event.

Thanks for your feedback - I am not quite sure what has happened here!

We record some player information when you book online (it is not possible to book without it), and you are asked to complete a registration form on arrival to provide additional data such as playing position. From this each scout is given a sheet with a list of all the players participating and relevant information to help them in making their decisions.

At the end of the trial during the debrief all the trialists who have been identified by the scouts have their bib numbers called out, and are introduced to the scouts there and then along with their parents, to find out about what happens next. The scouts are very visible during the trial and sometimes talk to parents or players to find out more information from them, in order to make their decisions, but all final decisions are announced at the end of the trial.

Hi, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback.

We do group children roughly into ages 6-11 and 12-17 during a trial. If numbers permit, we segregate this further, but as these are open trials, unfortunately we cannot guarantee that enough people will book on in any particular age group to ensure that children only participate with players of the same age. In academies players will often play up one or two age groups to see how that child performs against older children, and using this format we have had around 175 players from the age of 6 to the age of 17 given opportunities by professional clubs. The information on the player's age taken on the form at registration is passed to the scouts, to allow them to assess potential players correctly against the club's criteria.

We do not pre-allocate any bib numbers, they are given on arrival at random and are simply a way of the scouts identifying which players they would like to speak to - again, as these are open trials we have no way of knowing if someone is going to be successful or not.
