Great Scripts & Great Support
I believe I purchased my first Vacation Rental script in 2013 and just updated to the newest version as soon as it was released. As with any new piece of software/script when it is first released there were some minor bugs but a quick support ticket and they were quick to fix any issues. The product itself is easy to install and very user friendly even though I am not a professional web developer. However, purchasing the developers' license of the script enables my website developers to tailor the product to suit my requirements.
I have no hesitation in highly recommending PHPJabbers for your web development needs.

PHPJabbers offers good scripts and very good support
I am using several scripts from PHPJabbers for client websites and I am pleased with the scripts and the support. The scripts are easy to install, easy to setup/configure, and easy for my clients to use. Support has been very good. Tickets are replied to in about a day. The answers are concise and straight forward. I have paid for custom modifications on a couple of the scripts to fit particular situations. The pricing for the scripts and the customizations are very affordable, especially the developer license. I am currently using the following scripts and would recommend them to other web designers; Blog, Yellow Pages, Knowledge Base Builder, Simple CMS, PHP Gallery, PHP Newsletter, and the Shopping Cart.
Their site offers a full demo of each of the scripts so you can evaluate without having to setup on your own site. You can even request your demo to retain its data for a week allowing you to customize a script to demo to a client.

This is my second experience of dealing with PHPJabbers having just bought another program from them. This program has been tailored exactly to suit my needs. I am extremely satisfied with the service I receive both from customer support and from the coders themselves. When you bring an issue to them they fully understand what it is you need and always make a great effort to ensure that you get what you want. Another full, 5 Stars for PHPJabbers from a very happy customer.

Terrible coding practices
Terrible coding practices; only expect support if you're willing to pay for it.
Code quality: well they save passwords in encrypted (not hashed form) and the encryption key in the config-files so far from best practices or secure.
They tamper proof their code so when you find bugs or issues and want to fix it yourself is blocked (unless you really want to reverse engineer their crap).
No support during weekends.
As long as it works it is kind of fine but if you have a budget; pick something else.
Background: The script broke when our ISP updated PHP to a newer version which triggered deprecation warnings (on a method that had been discouraged since 2012; we bought the script 2017). The deprecation warnings crashed the script making it unusable. PHP-jabber support was slow to respond as this happened close to the weekend, we tried to remove the deprecated code ourselves which triggered an anti-tamper behavior (we have the developer license but are still blocked form some changes). Recovering from the change was very troublesome.
We got good service once this review was published.

it's Veselin Stoilov, founder of PHPJabbers here. I could not locate your client account on our system to check your support tickets so I guess you used a different name for privacy. If you can personally contact me I will be happy to assist in resolving the issues you are experiencing using our products. As to your comments:
1) as per our licence agreement we provide free support for 1 year after the date of purchase. If support is required we charge $39 per year. This is clearly stated on our website. Very often, even after that 1-year free support, we help our clients with issues they may face due to server configuration changes, PHP upgrades, etc.. - problems not caused by our products!
2) not sure which product you are using so difficult to comment on how passwords are stored, but I can't remember a script which saves administration password in a file.
3) with Developer licence you have access to script source files (except few framework files) and you can do all kind of not only small updates but major script changes. We have 40 000 clients, most web developers, who do all kind of modifications to our products by themself.
4) Yes, you are right - we rarely provide support on the weekends. Again, this is clearly stated on our website so not misleading there too.

It turns that the script has been used by our client, Bjorn Lundin from Kiteboardcenter - Stockholm, for 4+ years without a problem and in the recent weeks a developer (Mikael Rapp - the person who posted this review) could not make a modification he has been hired to do. At the end, we were able to assist him and Mr. Bjorn Lundin keeps using the product!
