Substituted worse quality matcha and no response

I have bought their matcha before and it was fine for the price but my most recent purchase in Aug 2025 was definitely not the same. It appears as if they’ve swapped it to lower quality culinary grade matcha. I emailed the complaints team but it’s almost a month and no reply.

Need to communicate with your customers.

Very disappointed with this organisation as they indicate orders will be despatched in 48 hours and they have a 5 star rating which is very far from the truth.
Latest order took 3 weeks to deliver and they do not respond to e-mail. The packaging was also damaged as two cartons were packed in an over box which was far too large.

Whilst we enjoy the Energy drink customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

Experts at scamming customers. Not so perfect perfect ted!

Experts at scamming customers

Hidden subscriptions with purchases and refusal to refund and cancel after they said they would and with no products received either. I have all my receipts as this was done via email.

Is this how you do buisness perfect ted? There’s nothing perfect about that. It’s called scamming and fraud. Refund the money you stole. I’ve reported to my bank and have all the evidence. So one way or another, I’ll get every penny back.

Stop stealing from your customers not so perfect ted. Stop taking what’s not yours.

Unknown Subscription

Signed me up to a subscription service without my approval, they also did the same to my wife. We both at separate times placed an order for 4-5 flavours and for some unknown reason it selected one of the flavours to be attached to a subscription. Also worth noting that the product is more expensive on their website than in most stores with a ridiculous delivery charge.

My wife got her money back plus a hefty discount voucher and apology I shall wait and see.

Great product, terrible service.

Locked in for 3 months without warning. Rude service.

Locked in for 3 months without warning. I emailed in because there is no cancellation button, for them to reply admit there was no warning of the 3 month terms on their site. This is the experience any customer fears when shopping online, and a total turn-off from a brand.
The product is ok, but the customer service has been rude and my whole experience makes me not want to shop with them again, in store or online.

Disappointed by Customer Service and Excessive Shipping Costs

I was genuinely looking forward to trying PerfectTec's matcha after reading so many positive reviews about the taste. However, my experience has been deeply disappointing due to the poor customer service and unreasonable shipping costs.

I ordered 30g of matcha for €13, only to be charged an additional €33 for shipping—simply because the delivery was to Germany. I quickly realized the mistake and contacted customer service immediately in hopes of modifying or canceling the order. Unfortunately, I was told the order had already been transferred to the delivery service and could not be stopped.

While I understand logistics can sometimes move quickly, I expected more flexibility and support—especially when I reached out so promptly. The lack of assistance left me frustrated and feeling ignored. Paying more than double the product's value in shipping is simply unacceptable.

No matter how good the product might taste, this experience has left a bad impression. I won’t be ordering from PerfectTec again, and I hope they reconsider both their international shipping policies and how they handle customer concerns in the future.

Customer service unheard of/ buy Jenki

Customer service unheard of. Which is unfortunate, because matcha isn’t the worst on the market.

When signing up for ‘subscription’, there’s probably writing in small letters that minimal subscription length- 3 months. In order to cancel, need to email.

When emailed, even if agreeing to pay 3 months worth of product, because of ‘my mistake’, they don’t help.

It’s essentially like talking to a wall, sadly.

To anyone considering this, I genuinely recommend to get matcha JENKI satches, it ends up being same price for the quantity and JENKI is much higher quality too.

Good Matcha, Bad Customer Service

The matcha itself is great, but the customer service is extremely disappointing.

I signed up for a subscription and asked to cancel it, but it took over a week and several follow-up emails before anyone responded. Even after confirming my subscription was cancelled, I was still charged again a month later. I had to reach out multiple times again just to get a response, and when I finally did, there was no apology or offer of a refund.

Unfortunately, despite the good product, the poor customer service means I wouldn’t recommend this company (buy it in Sainsbury’s it’s much cheaper and you get it on nectar)

Has this product been hyped?

I bought 2 perfect ted drinks on a buy one get one free offer at Holland & Barretts. I was so disappointed because the pineapple drink tasted so bad I couldn't finish it. I requested a refund within one minute of opening the can.

Used for work. Have recommended to manager we stop using these products as it is poor quality and fails to dissolve leaving lumps even when mixed well and for a long time.

Perfect Ted Energy Drink

Perfect Ted Energy Drink. I bought the peach flavour from Amazon, it did what was said and improved my concentration and focus. I went to re-order and none left, so bought 3 x 4 pack raspberry & apple flavour from Tesco, there was significant residue left at bottom unlike from 1st purchase at Amazon. Contacted Perfect Ted and i was advised macha is not 100% soluble, from watching Dragon Den, this Energy Drink had no residue. My 1st and 2nd experience differed and I wonder if now the product is in mass production, the quality has reduced. I was confused about how the product explained caffeine and what this meant. After my own research, caffeine is caffeine, but with macha, it lasts longer. If on ADHD medication, be careful and consult with medical advisor before drinking this, as it may not mix well with your medication. In addition, unable to put review on Google.

Deliveries late and no reply to emails

Ordered on two occassions and both times takes best part of a week to be delivered.
I emailed to complain but no response. Thought they had an internet expert from Dragons Den, who would understand the basics of good internet customer service. They are either not listening to his advice or he is as bad as them

Still waiting for my delivery

Still waiting for my delivery - was forced to pay for 48hr delivery on the website - 5 days later and its not even on its way.

Customer service is none existence, no one replies to the chat or the multiple emails I have sent,

I thought ceremonial graded matcha should not be too bitter. But this matcha powder was insanely bitter. I drink matcha from time to time and this was just not it (not an expert though but I found it strange)

Purchased Perfect ted Vanilla Bean Matcha from M&S and it is delicious ..I drink it with milk and ice..reasonably priced considering you get 30 cups for around £10.

Just not good.

I’m an experienced matcha drinker - often sourcing my teas in Japan. I know how to prepare it well. This matcha is NOT IT. Maybe for lattes or other flavored drinks, but as a pure matcha? No. It’s bitter. And yes, I used water at the right temperature. Its color is also not as vibrant as you’d expect from the ‘ceremonial grade from uji’ claim.

Matcha tea absolutely rank

Matcha tea absolutely rank. Smells and tastes like grass! Have to add sugar to make even drinkable so jot healthly.
On the plus side their health energy drinks are nice but don't expect an energy boost from them.
