I am most grateful to PX Pension Exchange for helping me to expatriate my historic UK pension funds to New Zealand.

Acting from NZ, it was very difficult to find an appropriately (& currently) accredited FSC-approved advisor to assist me with my pension transfers. I had tried and given up twice before over the previous ten years.

I nearly did not contact PensionExchange because the address shown on the FCA’s register is (was?) a gmail account, but all other avenues I had explored were unsuccessful and the FCA instructions are very definite that one must only contact the address that is registered. The rest is history! 😊

After much research, I selected Pension Exchange to help me through the process of transferring a Pension TV with safeguarded elements within it. (Such advice was mandatory in my case).

What a good decision. The IFA assigned to my case was Michael Hall who listened to what I wanted, offered ongoing advice if I wanted it, but never pushed it once I indicated that I didn't need this. He had a relaxed, assured manner and I took to him and his approach immediately.

Michael knew my strong preference was to effect the transfer. He emphasised that, no matter how keen I was, he would have to go through a thorough a review of my finances, assets and financial priorities before making a recommendation.

When he finally made a recommendation I went through it and was impressed by its thoroughness – indeed much more detailed than I would have anticipated.

UK pensions companies do not resource this work adequately, and appear to give it little priority. If you are to achieve your goals you need an outstanding team of advisers.
