Hi Trevor, thanks for the feedback. All of our vans are refrigerated so the lettuce should have arrived in better condition. Please contact customer support on hello@palegreendot.co.uk and they will refund you for the lettuce.
With regards to the fruit we try to source as much as possible from the UK and when that isn't possible from Europe, so during the winter and spring time (when the bumper summer and autumn seasons have yet to kick in), produce choice can become more limited. We've fed this comment back to the procurement team who will review the box contents for the week.

Hi Tom,

Thanks for getting in touch with us about this and apologies for the poor communication - this clearly should not have happened.

We've looked into it and it appears that there was a breakdown of communication in customer services. When the other element of your delivery was made it was flagged with customer services that the venison boxes weren't part of that delivery. They were supposed to contact you to update you on the status and ask if you wanted your order refunded or rescheduled. But this clearly didn't happen.

The operations team, not hearing that you wanted a refund from customer services, automatically rescheduled your delivery for tomorrow (we only collect the venison boxes once a week).

We've refunded you for one of the boxes as small way of apology - we hope that you enjoy them when they arrive tomorrow.

We'll follow this up with an email to confirm your refund and check if the delivery day suits.

Apologies for the poor experience you have had with us.
It is very unusual for our customers to receive bruised products as we have a team who check produce quality of everything before they go into boxes, however there will of course be an occasional lapse in judgement or an unseen bruise.

As you can see from the reviews below the vast majority of our customers are incredibly happy with the quality and value of our boxes, we’re sorry to disappoint you on this occasion.

Please contact customer services and they will process a full refund for you.

Hi Adam,

Thanks for the great review and ideas on box updates etc.

We've just been talking about creating a fortnightly email to customers highlighting what will be in their box next week. Hopefully we can get this off the ground and into everyone's inbox in the next few weeks!

Hi Ellie,
Great to hear that you are loving the quality and variety of the produce in our small box. We can assure you that the boxes for subscription v one off purchases are exactly the same with the exception that you get free delivery on any subscription box.

We took out potatoes and carrots from the last box (and replaced these with other items) however several customers have since said that the box felt smaller without them plus they form part of their weekly recipes - so this may have been why the box felt a little smaller.

And moving forwards we'll be keeping potatoes, carrots and onions as a staple for all the veg boxes (with the exception of the potato free box of course!)
