We ordered a 1.000" ID 1.500" OD pipe (as advertised) byt the ID measures .986" and is going to require additional machining. Specifically bought from this vendor because the ID was different than "stock" pipe at other vendors.

Been getting their aluminum sheet and their iron rod, in custom sizes, for about 7 years. Is not the cheapest, but has been reliable. I don't need super accurate cuts though, and I don't need smooth edges. And only once were they out of product and I had to wait a week or two.

Seeing the history of bad reviews here, I was hesitant as a first time customer. I reached out to their customer service to confirm their cutting tolerance and confirm they would correct or refund any mistakes, should they come up. They responded extremely quickly and assured me on all of my concerns. I decided to give them a chance with half of my order and outsourced the rest locally. Their prices were very competitive and worth the shot. I was amazed to have my order (many pieces of cut sheet metal) arrive by UPS literally the next day. Yes, all of it has sharp edges I will need to deburr but everything was correct, cut square, and to size. I saved hundreds taking a chance with them and will happily do so in the future because I had zero issues and they assured me they would make it right in the event I did.

Wow can I give negative 10 stars? This metal company again sells product it doesn’t have. Apparently they now admit they have NO LIVE INVENTORY SYSTEM. This has to be a joke. If you are counting on onlinemetals to keep your project moving and on-time you can absolutely forget it.

Thoroughly disappointed in online metals. They cannot be counted on to provide the metal you need when you need it. They sold me some steel. Pickup orders will be ready in four hours. 28 hours later they have no idea where my steel is and don't show any urgency to find out. Sadly this is not the first time this is happened. This is not how you run a reputable business. The favorite line from the customer service contact was "Have a great day!" as she does nothing to solve the problem.
