Proactively covered up the monstrous act of murdering my unborn grandchild (Swansea Bay University Health Board). Shame on you!

I can only echo other reviews, absolutly pointless waste of tax payers money having this apparently impartial ombudsman. My complaint is regarding council tax and being told a percentage its going up by. If you do the maths its always lower as they don't include the Police Crime Commisioner on the percentage increase. Its on the Council Tax Demand so it should be on the percentage increase. Apparently its not part of council Tax, Well it should not be on the council tax demand letter.
Ombudsman are useles and a waste of time, However they will get the complaint again if the council incorrectly publish a lower percentage to make them look good next year.

Ombudsman wales not fit for purpose needs to be defunded by government.
Just received notification that they do not intend to investigate Carmarthen County council despite my evidence and ongoing concerns?
Could not be more disappointed!!!

Appealed about a Powys County Council decision to allow illegal installation of an electric car charger(planning) and cable layage for usage on a public highway(obstruction) from a private residence (by Council employees nonetheless)!
Informed officially submitted complaint would not be considered due to "lack of resources", though admitted it was due merit for consideration.
Either do the job properly or don't bother at all, wasting tax payers' money in the process!

The Ombudsman in Wales exists solely to protect public institutions and offer a veneer of legitimacy to a morally bankrupt, decaying system of governance that would make the last days of the Soviet Union look like the glory days of Rome. The law means nothing to these people, except the part that guarantees their continued, unjustifiable, public funding. A reckoning is long overdue.

Disrespectful behaviour
BT breeched data protection laws. Was contacted by a member of their staff on a personal email. No response to my complaints for a year until ombudsman got involved. All complaints deleted and cancelled. No contact from managers, told about a woman’s miscarriage as to why no one could contact me for 3 months… ombudsman’s ruled in their favour?
This is a huge corporation who are friends with another rich corporation . Read the reviews! Don’t waste your time!

If you have had to take valuable time out of your life writing to this organization in the hope of achieving an outcome where you feel they have understood, emphasized, and made a valuable impartial decision based upon experience (looked at the reviews on companies facebook and social media), researched just how many people have complained against the company and compared like for like complaints etc. YOU MAY HAVE ACHIEVED A SATISFACTORY OUTCOME. I bet you have not. The ineptness of these 'quango' organizations pioneering to 'be for the people' is just a joke and waste of TAX PAYERS MONEY. There are no statistics produced yearly by OMBUDSMAN SERVICES that clearly show how many customer issues were resolved with positive results, no information on the companies who are constantly targeted and complained about, no information on the awards that customers deserve, no list of continued issues being highlighted time and time again. WHAT DOES THIS SERVICE do exactly? Why do they even exist? IF YOU HAVE HAD A NEGATIVE OUTCOME REPORT IT - to a higher authority if you can find one (don't bother with your local MP they are useless).

These people work here only because they can't get a job anywhere else lol

AA are refused to honour replacement guarantee on a faulty battery the they sold and fitted in February 2023.
After 31minutes, plus, of waiting on the phone I gave up due to health concerns.

Public services in Wales have failed because PSO have failed time and again to keep check on the public services, it's a simple as that.

As expected only interested in protecting the Public Auhtority when someone dies because of the failures of bodies like this Ombudsmans should be proescuted for failing but that won't happen because they all stick together like glue

PSOW 3.1 of the service standards states "staff
have relevant knowledge, training and skills to determine complaints, or access to suitable professional advice"
Independent Reviewer was not allowed to investigate complaint on this ????

Disgraceful organisation, biased, fails to investigate properly, waste of time (& money - should be shut down), PATHETIC

The ombudsman state they are impartial send standard letter not explaining the decision. Side with big companies. Easy cope out for companies to refer customers to ombudsman if unhappy with their decision.
Next time i will go to small claims court where they will be impartial

I live in a bungalow I have had to endure excessive barking from dogs through party walls day and night intermittently at a bungalow property owned by Swansea City Council for a year which is affecting my already poor health as i have m.s. I complained to the Ombudsman as the council wont take action against the tenants and neither will environmental health after classing the noise as high annoyance. The Ombudsman refuses to deal with the complaint and agrees with the council. Absolutely useless and powerless service that takes no action and always agrees with the councils tricky and sometimes altered to suit when convenient decisions. I will now have to give up my home being in genuine need of a bungalow. I must be living next to royalty.

A quite appalling organisation. You will not get any help from them, even if the local council eventually admits they are at fault. This Ombudsman organization is a complete waste of taxpayer's money. It should not be described as a service.

I contacted them regarding an issue which has seen a public-facing organisation return to refuse a substantial amount of money which is owed. The Ombudsman closed the case, stating that the organisation is somehow in the right.

While it is typically best to raise a complaint with the Ombudsman to cover all bases, I would not expect them to be helpful in the resolution of your case. This is, yet again, a case of public organisations pandering to private companies; these people really are above the law.

Unfortunately I have to join the reviewers with a negative experience.

I had cause to complain about Flintshire County Council. The Ombudsman issued a "final letter" advising that they would not uphold my complaint.

While they summarised my complaint reasonably well, the response then simply took FCC's unsubstantiated claims (some of them outright lies about their rights and responsibilities) at face value. I had approached the Ombudsman, with referenced Welsh and central government guidance to complaint about FCC's practices that were clearly unfounded in the guidance they were claiming to be following - only for the Ombudsman to then repeat FCC's lies back to me. The response also honed in on an aspect of the complaint that had been superseded by further research, obfuscating what I was actually complaining about. Just because my original assumptions as to why FCC was acting in the illegal way it was could not be shown to be true, this doesn't make their actions legal and the complaint any less valid.

The Ombudsman also openly admitted that they would not respond to all points of my complaint. I had spent time and effort submitting a detailed complaint to them - to be brushed off with them giving FCC's practices the seal of Ombudsman approval.

While their communication is more professional and polite than what I've had from my council, the substance is the same: The actually legality of the council's actions means nothing, council officers can breach citizens' human rights in their own homes with no repercussions.

The amount of whitewashing from this "organisation" needs investigating. They are very selective with what they include in their reports and sometimes outright lies. Makes one wonder what else they cover up.
