Whilst I appreciate the offer of a free sample (apart from the £4.99 postage) - try before you buy kinda thing - I have only given 3 stars for my experience… pretty much just because the scent isn’t that unpleasant but it’s not what I was expecting and does not reflect the notes described in the add. “Thor” is meant to be a Citrus, Bergamot, Fern, Patchouli & Cypress scent, in my view a zesty earthy type finish but this is definitely a tropical pineapple! Additionally you get a plastic bottle with a little plastic spout that drips the oil when the add shows a glass one with an dropper, and the postage is a lot more than the cost - a small Jiffy bag even at a large envelope 1st class is less. Don’t think I will be buying another…

Still not arrived…..update 11th Jan. have now received. £4.99 postage charge for second class stamp. Used the free beard oil offer so cost for 30ml oil was £4.99. No scent whatsoever, might as well mix up the oils in my kitchen cupboard. Lesson learnt and no further orders. Il stick to bulldog! Update its now March, no replacement oil received so unfortunately original review remains

I ordered the beard kit as a gift. Oh my goodness! It smells AMAZING, and works brilliantly too. The soap bar in the coffee scent is a great morning pick up.

Again, great service with prompt delivery and excellent value bundle which included balm, oil and soap. Got the Odin scent this time and another top quality scent that lasts.

Had a problem with post office so customer service sent out a Replacement right away . Just used it and the oil is the best ive used so Overall Brilliant 👌👌

Placed a order on a Tuesday and arrived on the Thursday really fast delivery. I bought the set for my son, it smells amazing that's even before I opened the package. I had to test oil on hand and the smell lasts ages . Thankyou I highly recommend

I don’t like the fragrance (Thor)of the beard oil, even though I carefully chose from the options what I expected I’d like. None of the other options appealed. It’s too sweet, like boiled sweets. It’s also in a plastic bottle which makes it feel cheap , even though the quality of the oil is ok (notwithstanding the sickly sweet fragrance). And the nozzle of the bottle always oozes extra when you turn it to close… so you have to get used to dispensing less than you need, because the extra will ooze out whether you want it or not. I honestly would not order again.

I'd seen adverts for this beard oil online and thought I'd try it at some point, but then saw the free trial offer and thought it was the perfect opportunity to check the product out. Really love it! I've often been disappointed by the lack of intensity in the fragrance of other beard oils, but this smells great. Pretty sure I'll be buying more and trying out some of the other fragrances.

I really like the idea and theming behind this product - the marketing and the 'in character' emails and reviews etc are really cool, all giving the product a super 'premium feeling'. However upon receiving, it's a cheap, super-glue style plastic bottle that feels more at home chucked in a toolbox than in a bathroom cabinet. Also probably a personal preference, but the smell just isn't that strong. A bit disappointing altogether, but hey, I did use their free bottle code, so I guess it isn't too bad.

Got my tester bottle of "Odin" today and the cedarwood scent from it is really beautiful. Will definitely be buying more in future.

Excellent product

As an owner of what my wife describes as a “scratchy beard” (she loves it, just likes it well-moisturised), I was intrigued by the Facebook advert for Odin’s. I’m a sucker for a bit of mythology too so that didn’t hurt.
With an offer of just paying P&P, I decided to try their Magni offering. It arrived beautifully presented in a bottle that is easy to dispense from and is great to travel with (I have just tested it across the “pond” and all it survived perfectly).
The scent is to die for and the moisturising capabilities are vouched for by my wife and that’s praise enough in my book!!

Decent smelling oil and the first oil I’ve ever used so not sure on the quality. What I do know is that the bottle was advertised as a pipette in a glass rather than what I received which was a plastic bottle with a screw top with an ugly design. Cheapens the product massively and I’d just rather get something mainstream so I have more control over the amount of oil and a nicer product in general. Avoid the false advertising if you can

Came across this company after seeing an ad on my instagram - normally I never interact with any of these ads and given the size of the company I was sceptical.

However, after days of deliberating I decided to take the plunge and order a bottle of the “Surtur” beard oil. Nice, quick and easy seamless ordering process, and a within a few days I received the item!

The bottle was a 30ml plastic bottle with a screw like cap (naturally I tend to steer away from plastic bottles as in my experience I find the oils to be of subpar quality). On the back of the bottle is a list of top quality ingredients/oils that one should expect to see in premium beard oils, along with the company info and “handmade in uk” (always good to support local businesses!)

On using the product, all scepticism I had about this company/product was now gone! The product applied easily, absorbs beautifully into the beard, and gives a nice moderate shine, whilst making my beard feel amazingly smooth and soft without any of the stickiness you might get with other cheap beard oils. Even by the end of the day my beard was still looking and feeling great!

I will not commented much on the smell as this is often a matter of personal preference, and the base notes of this particular “surtur” oil is not one I would normally go for, but opted for it as others were out of stock. However, I’d say the smell is overall positive. It’s more on the subtle side of things compared to other companies I’ve used in the past, but it is definitely noticeable without being overpowering. (I see they also offer a premium range which one would assume has a stronger smell to them - have not tried so can’t comment).

Having used many different brands of beard oils, including several premium branded/expensive oils, I can safely say this company has managed to create a product right up there competing with the premium brands at a fraction of the price!

I’ve seen many comments regarding the dislike towards the plastic bottle. Naturally, I would always prefer glass bottles, but I can definitely see the appeal in this plastic bottle! It’s a nice compact size which fits easily into the palm of your hand and would be great for those always on the move. As important as packaging/presentation is, ultimately it’s the contents that matter, and I can honestly say this oil has surpassed and exceeded all expectations.

I would also like to explicitly mention that I am not affiliated with this company in any way whatsoever. Although I did receive this product as part of a promotion via an advertisement on instagram, I have decided to leave this review out of my own choice as I have been extremely impressed with this product in general, and if you’re like me and have managed to stumble across this company but are still sceptical, don’t. Bite the bullet and hit the order button! You won’t be disappointed!

Great quality oil and the bottle is one of the best I've used for controlling the amount of liquid coming out

I came across an ad on Facebook for a free oil and couldn’t pass it up. Decided to pick up a butter also. Very glad I did! Scents are spot on and it’s an actual butter not that “whipped” butter that most uk companies sell. Oil is easily absorbed and doesn’t leave a greasy residue. The only downside is the oil bottles make the product seem cheap and tacky. Doesn’t change the fact the oil is brilliant tho.
Very happy customer and will definitely be returning!
