This company went down the drain

This company went down the drain, I don't know who is running the ship into the iceberd dead ahead. They clearly don't know how to do payroll. They went to a once a month for ease of payments and to verify jobs, yet they still can't get it together. Here it is the 6th and invoices still have yet to show up, the customer support sucks bad. No response. I hate when platforms start to get like this. With competitive players coming in the game you think they would want to keep their photographers happy. The fastest way to get a bad name is be consistently late with pay. This is why i slowed up freelancing for them, I hate literally chasing my paycheck from a company that plays dodgeball with emails.....

Unfair business practices &LOW PAY

The pay from this company is an absolute joke. Under $200usd for 20 menu items!! Driving setting up lights gear waiting for the cooks, breaking down, driving back. They do not pay fairly and never have. The cost for photo services should be 3 to 4 times what they pay.
Also, you can't say the photographer is a contractor and then tell them their rate! Contractors set their own rate! Poor business practices, poor customer service (they rush to get off the phone with you).
They want high quality photos but want to pay pennies.

Truly awful and this company should be ashamed of how they treat the ones actually doing the work.

It is a very good opportunity for the photographer and to gain experience, sometimes I have problems with the platform when there are no work opportunities in my area for a couple of weeks, the support team makes up for it with the good attention they give us

IMHO avoid them, they have are a waste of space and time
They set extremely low standards and fail to achieve them

No saben o no quieren Solucionarlo

No saben o no quieren hablar en Español, con lo cual no se puede hablar por teléfono con ellos, y en escribir un correo y que contesten, tardan más de 15 días, con lo cual pierdes las misiones. No funciona la plataforma y al entrar para poder confirmar una misión no sale la opción para poder hacerlo, lo he denunciado mas de 10 veces pero o no lo comprenden o son incapaces de solucionarlo, todo sigue igual. Cuando surge algún problema en edl display de las opciones que salen, no sale nunca la opción adecuada al problema surgido, y no hay forma de poder explicarlo,

Sinto uma grande evolução na nova plataforma com a resolução de problemas que a plataforma anterior deixava a desejar. Porem ainda sinto a falta de uma função que seria muito útil, referente a um tópico relativo ao anuncio de uma missão em curso que por algum motivo deixa de ser possível realizar, como por exemplo, o cliente entra em contato com o fotógrafo cancelando a missão pouco tempo antes do horário marcado ou até mesmo a chegada a um restaurante e o proprietário cancela a missão. Um tópico que além de reportar a ausência também finaliza-se o cancelamento da missão para aquela hora e data confirmadas.

Du point de vue des photographes

Du point de vue des photographes cette plateforme et ses multiples changements sont une véritable catastrophe. Ils ne préviennent jamais des modifications de la plateforme avant de les appliquer. On doit à chaque fois tâtonner pour trouver comment continuer à travailler de manière fluide, de bug en bug. Ils nous proposent des tutos 10 jours ou 15 jours après les changements ce qui ne nous sert plus à rien puisqu'on a déjà été forcé de deviner par nous-mêmes. Dès qu'un changement même minime arrive il y a forcément un bug. Ils nous mènent en bateau en prétendant simplifier la vie des photographes mais ne font que la compliquer toujours plus, c'est à devenir dingue. Il n'y a qu'une seule personne utile dans cette désorganisation magistrale, elle s'appelle Morgane, c'est une perle et j'ai peur qu'elle quitte un jour ce bateau ivre. Je croise fort les doigts pour qu'elle tienne le coup et je la remercie mille fois pour toutes les fois où son intervention a permis de débloquer des situations kafkaïennes. Sans elle on ne pourrait même pas prétendre qu'il existe un quelconque support pour les professionnels. Cette avis est mûri d'une réflexion de plusieurs années avec cette plateforme et ne concerne que la partie photographes, aucune idée comment ça se passe côté clients.

Desde que han cambiado la plataforma el…

Desde que han cambiado la plataforma el sistema no funciona, y no funciona porque la nueva plataforma la han diseñado poniendo en duda la honorabilidad se los fotógrafos, además de que no quieren pagar los desplazamientos. te dicen que los pidas que lo van a mirar te asignan un supuesto supervisor y te envían una respuesta automática, es curioso que y no se porqué mienten al responder, mienten como bellacos tan burdamente que te ponen que estás más lejos de lo que les dices incluso enviando una imagen de google maps y les dices señores que estoy a 300km o 200km y ellos insisten que estas a 800km y que no puede ser y que hay una calle 169 fotógrafos y en la de arriba 172 y en la de abajo 174, vamos según calle del proyecto. Pero alma de cántaro 169 0 172 o 174 fotógrafos no los tienes en toda España. Como los vas a tener en Teruel que no hay 80 en toda la provincia?
Si he visto sesiones en ciudades como Soria que han estado un año sin hacer

In the new update

In the new update, if we want to Drop a Project because the Client cancelled at the last minute, there is no option to do that. All the options suggest that the fault is from our side and that’s why we are cancelling it and that may affect our future projects, whereas mostly the reason of cancellation is from Clients side. Everything else is good and fine, but I think this feature should be looked into as well.

Incredible IMPROVEMENT! Ive never seen a company improve so much so fast! Keep up the great work OCUS!

In late 2025, this was literally one of the worst companies I had ever worked with! Seriously, it was SO BAD! My first support request took them TWO MONTHS to respond to, and my second check was paid a MONTH LATE.

At the beginning of 2026 they implemented a new platform, and it’s literally like a completely different company! I get responses from actual humans within hours! I am so impressed!

Desastre informatico.

Amigos/as de Ocus, contraten nuevos informaticos. A ser posible con titulo y experiencia demostrada o pagen a los sufridos fotografos (entre los que me incluyo) con los que "colaboran" una indemnizacion por todo el tiempo que nos hacen perder.
Tres meses con la nueva version de la web y estamos practicamente como al principio. Los nuevos parches no funcionan!
Por cierto, ustedes prometieron una prima a los asistentes a un webinar de formacion. Dónde está la susodicha prima?
Tomen medidas que funcionen, por favor.

Tax Documents, Anyone?

Seems legit, does pay as promised, and has it perks, but I can't take this business seriously when they don't take mine seriously.

No tax documents after the year is over? Don't buy the "We are based in Paris" BS. When you do business in the United States, which Ocus does, you are required BY LAW to pay taxes, and supply 1099 employees documentation of their earnings for the year when it exceeds $600.

Ocus doesn't agree. I have struggled with their system, their run-around under the radar illegal business tactics, and won't be leaning on them for income moving forward.

Thank you for the opportunity to share my personal feedback. I truly appreciate the brand, its reputation, and the standards it represents, especially within the Nigerian market.

At the beginning of the year, I structured part of my professional plans around the expectation of continued collaboration and job opportunities through your platform. Receiving information that there are currently no available jobs has been quite discouraging, as it affects planning, workflow, and priority setting for creatives who rely on predictable engagement pipelines.

In the past, the booking call system and the possibility of getting immediate responses created a strong sense of accessibility and operational confidence. The reduced availability of that direct and timely response channel has been noticeably felt. Faster communication and clearer availability signals would greatly help professionals better manage expectations and scheduling.

That said, the brand remains highly respected, and I believe strongly in its long-term potential and influence. With consistent engagement, transparent communication, and dependable opportunity flow, the brand can continue to grow and become even more widely recognized at the household level.
