Lacking trust . . . Beware!
I arrived prepared at 3:00 PM for 3:20PM new patient appointment that I had for weeks. In the prior 14 days I had received no less than 8 text message reminders and 4 telephone calls reminding me of this appointment. At check in, I signed necessary documents. They asked that I place all medications I brought with me (only 1) in a basket for their review. I declined. I sat down in the waiting room. By 3:30 PM I had not yet been called in. I inquired as to how far behind the doctor was. At that point, the receptionist went into a closed door meeting with someone. At 3:45 PM Vivienne (her card states she is an Outreach Executive) pulled me into a closed door meeting to advise that I was supposed to meet with a new patient Admin prior to meeting with the doctor*. That the Admin left early. That the doctor is running 40-45 minutes late and that they close at 5:00 PM. I stated that the expectation is I would be out by 5:00 PMwith a 3:20 PM appointment for which I arrived early. I feel like she quickly realized the gravity of my statement, i.e., 1 hour and 40 minutes is plenty of time for a new patient appointment and shifted tactics. She then stated my appointment was at 3:40 PM. I corrected her and advised it was at 3:20 PM. She again attempted to convince me my appointment was at 3:40 PM. I then offered to show her the myriad (no less than 8) of text messages or phone call messages (no less than 4) confirming my appointment as 3:20 PM. She then quickly backtracked. All the while - more time is being wasted. I asked Vivienne if i was going to be seen today because if I wasn’t . . . I was going to leave. Why would I just sit around for more than an hour if my appointment wasn’t going to be honored? She advised I was not, but got up and offered to give me a tour of their clinic. I politely declined and left.
I had looked forward to this appointment for weeks. PCP of 30 years just retired and I was hopeful I would find one at Oak Street. After this experience - for which I drove an hour each way - I doubt I will return. Although, I was fully on board with doing so until Vivienne attempted to convince me my appointment was at 3:40 PM. Not certain why she did that, but her trustworthiness immediately evaporated by her doing so. Why would I frequent an establishment that isn’t trustworthy.
More than 3 hours of my busy day - wasted.
*As I write this - I thought of something else. I reviewed my recording of the interaction with Vivienne (one party recording legal in my state). During the entire conversation, I referred to the individual with whom I had an 3:20 PM appointment as a “doctor” several times. And Vivienne never corrected me. Not once. As it turns out, the “doctor” with whom I had a new patient appointment was in fact NOT a doctor. But a nurse practitioner “NP”. I am flabbergasted by this. BEWARE!
I accepted an appointment 3 months ago…
I accepted an appointment 3 months ago I don't know why it took 3 months to get an appointment but I've had a heart attack and been hospitalized twice but I couldn't get an appointment from oak Street health because they advertise same day appointments or next day appointments so why does it take 3 months to get an appointment as far as I'm concerned oak Street health is just another bunch of lying pieces of crap I will never ever go to oak Street health I will die actually I almost died because of oak Street health not giving me a normal appointment anyone reading this I hope you're smart enough to know stay away from them people they're not very good at what they do not to mention they advertisers idiot riding down the hall on a wheel chair no company says that they can do that and if they do it's not a health company that I want to deal with good luck oak Street health I hope they shut you down real soon because you don't deserve to be in the system,I wish they could give you a minor start because you don't deserve one star oak Street health your system really is terrible you need to stop taking advantage of gold with people and neither do your job right or going to another system because oak Street health sucks I hate to say it but it's the truth it really sucks the people there are rude they lie not to mention they got some idiot riding down the hall in his a wheeled chair like they really would let somebody do that and if they do then I really don't want to deal with these idiots
Oak Street-Rosedale Park provides terrible service.
Oak Street-Rosedale Park provides terrible service. They do not review test results timely. They do not respond to other medical professionals' inquiries timely which causes delays in service.
All the commercials hype about same day appointments …
All the commercials hype appointments the same day. No, in a year I’ve been a member never had one same day appointment. My two times I called, the nurse calls and says the doctor thinks whatever is wrong with you it’s not what you think.
I had eye problems they said go to an eye doctor that lasted 2 more weeks, I just was feeling sick for two days and the nurse said that the doctor said continue with whatever you are doing and call back in seven days what!!
Sounds like to me stop calling us and suffer and sounds like the doctor isn’t available each time I’m feeling sick so my next move is to drop this company and go to another.
All about the money. Dr McClure, is a nice lady and is busy I’m sure. Not even the nurses offer to help you, no kind words nothing but a quick callback
Do not go to Oak Street Health They are a Joke
I have been going to Oak Street health in Dayton Ohio The Wallnut Hills Office to be exact and let me tell you they are a frickin joke they have yet to give me a diagnoses for my shortness of breath and they need to teach their Doctors how to be respectful to Patients. They gave me meds that were not needed. Please change your mind if you are thinking about going there. Patients not Paychecks.
CVS like there pharmacies and Oak…
CVS like there pharmacies and Oak Street Health they scrape the bottom of the barrel personnel. The people they hire most companies would not hire.poor handling of insurance claims of all types simply from lack of experience. Simply the worst company to do anything. Wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Yesterday (24 July 25) was my first visit. Everyone I interacted with was very professional, and most were courteous and helpful above-and-beyond as well.
The facility was clean, well maintained, and roomy enough to maneuver my (bariatric) wheelchair through.
Especially helpful was Melissa, on the front dest (last name redacted to protect identity).
employees are nasty
got a call from oak street health. 847 7260830 the caller when he was told we are on the do not call list they called me a fag and a lot of other swear words. the call was at 330 pm. this person should be fired.
The Worst Place
Went to 5110 Fairfield Rd Columbia SC for an appointment. This was one of the worst experiences I ever had. I was accosted in parking lot by a homeless man begging for money even though they had security. I was treated very disrespectfully by the intake person because I asked too many questions about the process. Don't waste your time going to this location
I had appointment in January 205
I had appointment in January 205. The day before the appointment oak street called to cancel. I was told they would call to reschedule. I never heard from them. In early June 2025 I called to make an appointment. I was given a July 18 appointment. Today July 17, they called to cancel the appointment again with no reschedule available. As a facility that specializes in senior care, I expected better. Have find another facility where I can actually see a physician when needed
Absolute scum !
Made an appointment two weeks ago.
They had to make sure that I didn’t make an appointment with any other doctor or source so they kept me hanging for two weeks. When I showed up for my appointment. (early morning, of course.), God forbid I get a good nights sleep. ! They then, after two weeks wait had a surprise;
“ your appointment has been canceled”!!!
The receptionist had no idea who or how my appointment was canceled more or less when !???
They operate with a level of incompetence that would make a Trump appointee envious.
If you have nothing to do with your life and have all day to do it and enjoy spinning your wheels and beatong your head against the wall this is the company you wanna deal with !
The worst experience ever…
The worst experience ever Heather-Mackey Fowler needs to be fired she plays on her phone with her patients to now. They let my mom die at Kent Hospital on August 2,2022 I guess that her medical insurance wasn't good enough to get the cure for COVID-19 because they couldn't send a nurse there to sign the form for the authorization fot the cure for COVID-19 and there commercials are stupid too and I will never go back there again now.
I’m so stinkin sick….of the stupid…
I’m so stinkin sick….of the stupid commercial. I wouldn’t use this company for anything.

The Staff over on Irving Park sucks The Drs. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE PATIENTS. i WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS. I AM LOOKING FOR A NEW PRIMARY DR. SOMEONE WHO LISTENS TO THE PATIENTS NEEDS.

They had no interest other than how to refer me to multiple specialists for the referral money. My primary of 20 years said they are full of it. Don’t go
I had an appt
I had an appt, showed up on time.
I like to be in control of my own body and healthcare. With Oakstreet health, they want to be in control.
Requiring regular blood tests, colonoscopy, mamograms, vaxx. They want to be in charge of that and if you are not willing to "obey" then you are considered not be a good "fit". My appointment was canceled after an "interview". I had been searching for a new Dr. since mine had retired. He was excellent, non pushy, there when I needed him. This was a waste of my time and gas to go there. So my decision was made for me. I accepted it and moved on. I got another Dr. who isnt pushy about all those exams, injections, tests and blood draws. I dodged a bullet by not bein "accepted into their program. But now, they are trying to get me to go back there. A VERY rude old man has called me two times, hung up on me, today being the 2nd time. He mocked my accent before hanging up on me. I have a bit of a southern drawl. I was shocked by his rudeness and felt even more glad I wasnt going there anymore. I hope they shut down.. they are aweful! I will warn others to avoid that place!
Oak St health in little rock is…
Oak St health in little rock is completely unresponsive to my health care needs. No matter how much i try to emphasis my current needs they seem to be incapable or unwilling to address my issues.. I have been suffering from chronic fatigue since undergoing chemo and radiation treatments for cancer.. Month after month goes by with out any attempt at resolution.. They continually tell me they are goin gto this or that but nothing ever happens, always telling that we can address that on your next visit, mean while my life is passing me by.. I recently had them test my testosterone level tested, it came back very low.. do they give me a script for testosterone, NO! They tell me they are going to contact my endocrinologist to work out a treatment plan. Ive been on testosterone therapy for many years, there is no plan needed, just give me a prescription! See if it relieves my chronic fatigue, it looks like i will have to wait a full month for another appointment.. this run around has been going on for over 6 months now.
No wonder Oak Street paid 60 million…
No wonder Oak Street paid 60 million for fraud and violations to the government. Oak Street Edgewater abuses and harasses seniors by mail and nonstop daily calls until we dumped them over 2 years ago. Though we blocked Oak St. from calling, they've started harassing us by mail again, so it's time to file more complaints.
I was not happy at all with Oak Street…
I was not happy at all with Oak Street Health if I could give them zero Stars I would. They are called me over and over to come and let them be my primary care physician so I gave them a try. Worst decision I ever made. The doctor never listen to anything I said and there were a couple of people there who no matter what you said or how polite you were they always had a smart remark. I now have a new primary care physician and very happy. I personally would not recommend Oak Street Health there are far more better places even though they offer a lot of services they're a better places to go to good luck to all
Knowledgeable, professional, caring
Dr Sohn is knowledgeable, caring, friendly, and tactful when asking questions. She explained some of my previous blood work results in detail and put my mind at ease regarding cholesterol and glucose levels.
After the exam, I felt at ease and in good hands.
Her team also made some recommendations and made appointments with specialists for me.
